History

Established in 2007.

Pawsitive Partners began out of a need for more positive dog trainers in the Los Angeles. When owner Melinda Weaver’s previous boss moved to Utah, she decided to open her own business to help connect dogs and their owners. She recently moved the business to the greater Phoenix area.

Business Owner

Melinda has worked as a dog trainer for almost 10 years, beginning when her dog, Muggsy, began showing signs of aggression toward people and dogs within the home. She graduated from Animal Behavior College and worked with an experienced trainer for several years before beginning her own business. She is currently working toward her PhD in animal behavior at ASU. Because of her start with Muggsy, she has a passion for working with dogs who show fear or aggression. She also enjoys doing therapy work with her other dog, Chubbs.
