Took my Iphone 5s to get my screen swapped out and they didn’t seat it right, I can literally push my screen down and see it rise back up, I can’t hear as clearly as I could before when in a phone call. And my home button gets stuck when you push it in now. I was better off with the cracked screen. I wouldn’t ever send business their way again. Not will I do business with them.

So, I take my iPad Mini 3 to IPHIXATION with a cracked screen and was told that it would be repaired in 2 ½ hours. The guy at the kiosk calls me 2 hours later and tells me that he needed to order the screen because they didn’t have one in stock. I pick up my iPad and wait one week for the new screen to come in. The following week I receive a call from the kiosk and returned with my iPad, I am told that the iPad will be repaired in 2 ½ hours. I get a call from the kiosk within an hour informing me that upon repairing the cracked screen, the guy doing the repair had broken the home button. I retrieved my iPad and was told that it would take a week for the home button to come in but was told that the iPad would be fully functional once they repaired the broken home button. (Lie #1: Once the home button is broken it cannot be repaired to full functionality because the fingerprint reader will never function on the iPad again. Lie #2: That I would be able to take the iPad to Apple and they would be able to reprogram the home button to read finger prints again.)
I took the iPad back the following week and again was told it would be about 2 ½ hours for successful repair. I received a call from the kiosk informing me that the home button was not the right one and that the screen was damaged again. Once again I waited a week for the parts to come in, this time leaving the iPad with them as it was totally useless at this point. Another week went by while waiting for the parts to come in. Again I receive a call from the kiosk just a week later telling me that the parts had come in and that my iPad should be repaired in approximately 2 ½ hours. And, once again I receive a call saying that the home button was broken and it would be yet another week to repair my iPad. At this point, I decided to retrieve my broken iPad and take it to someone who knew how to fix it right.
When I went to the kiosk and asked for my iPad and my money back, I was told that they would return all of my money except for $ 35. At first, the $ 35 was described as a «labor fee». When I pointed out that they had not only failed to repair the iPad, but had in fact, caused more damage he suddenly and conveniently changed his wording and called it a «diagnostic fee». Again, I pointed out that the only thing wrong with the iPad was a cracked screen and that there was nothing to diagnose but he refused to return the $ 35. I asked him to get his supervisor on the phone. He refused. I asked for his corporate phone number. He refused to provide that as well. He then threw my money at me and threatened to call mall security.
I took my iPad directly to the Apple Store to find out that Apple will not repair a device that has been opened by a vendor like IPHIXATION. In fact, they won’t even look at it. Buyer Beware!
I found an Apple Certified repair shop that was willing to repair the iPad. But remember, the iPad was not fully functional because the home button will never read finger print recognition again.
In the meantime and after I had dropped off my iPad with the new repair shop, I receive a message thru Facebook from the owner of IPHIXATION in response to my complaint that I posted on their Facebook page. He asked me to email him with my story then asked me what it would take to make me a happy customer. I explained that since his people had caused irreparable damage to the iPad, they had provided such unprofessional service and now I was paying to have the iPad repaired elsewhere, I believe the fair thing to do would be to replace the iPad. In addition, I wanted him to return my $ 35 as nothing was diagnosed and I believe he should pay the new repair bill. Once he replaced the iPad, I would turn over the damaged iPad to his possession. He refused to do this and offered to give $ 199 for my trouble. Negotiations broke down and came to an abrupt halt when he claimed that I was «blackmailing and bullying» him.
You be the judge and tell me if I deserve to have my iPad, which was less than 6 months old, replaced and the repair bill paid to fix it (except for the fully functional finger print recognition) and my $ 35 back…
