The claim you can TRY to file is a joke, won’t cover a fraction of the worth.

Just an update to Eli movers. Have been wondering why my $ 20,000 dining room set table has been tipping. Took leaves out and found that the movers cracked a major support of the table top. We are trying to repair ourselves because their coverage won’t pay enough for repairs also the leather pillow from the hand tooled chair never was found. They never once called me for an update I had to call them numerous times. I would stay away from these movers no matter what.

Updated… please read CONSUMER BEWARE! I feel after the experience yesterday I must update my review. Worst experience ever. We never received a contract and even though we were quoted an initial price after we had several companies come out and give us an estimate of our pounds once they got our stuff they said we were over by 2,000 lbs. not to mention that they completely messed up our walls when moving our things. Then, I should add for a CONSUMER BEWARE we were told AFTER the fact we could only pay by cash or money order to get our stuff on delivery but we bank with USAA so it was a huge pain to get them. So at this point our stuff is basically being held for ransom. Also, there’s some magical contract that we never received or signed that says, according to someone named Roxanne, that their company is not responsible for any damage to our the aforementioned walls. On top of this they kept moving the delivery date. It took a month for our stuff to be scheduled for delivery. Then after it was finally scheduled between 9 – 2 for Friday and I took a no-​pay day from work they called to tell me they wouldn’t be able to make it until the next day. So sorry he said.
The delivery guy showed up at my home at 7 am on a Saturday after calling me names on the phone to my husband. I guess he didn’t realize I’m a disabled veteran who can’t speak well on the phone. After telling us he was here and that 6 guys were hired from Craig’s list to help and after the move he would put our furniture together he went & sat in his truck until almost 1000. Only one guy showed up. For several hours that guy worked alone asking his wife to help. Then one other person showed up. When my husband got home and looked at our crushed boxes he asked the driver why he wasn’t helping or at least supervising the move. He chose to tell my husband to get out of his face and began yelling at him in the driveway. The movers said they were in disbelief at his behavior.
When we realized we were missing things 10 hours later one of the movers said he saw the stuff we were looking for in the truck & asked my husband to come look. When he did the driver yelled at him and cocked his fist back to hit him until my husband told him he better not or he’d call the cops. Finally the movers found our things with the driver still in the truck putting blankets over it. It was all completely smashed. So far there is around 10,000 dollars of furniture completely ruined but because their replacement policy is so awful we are using our own insurance (and yes we took pictures as it came off the truck).
Lastly, the driver, after sleeping & watching movies in his truck for 11 of the 12 hours, paid the movers and told them they would stay to put our furniture together & he took off leaving us with a yard full of trash & movers that hadn’t put stuff together before paying them for an hour of extra time when it took 2. The movers left us all their information to verify the events of the day.
I have to agree with the individual that said there was no respect for military or in that case people and the things that we worked so hard to buy. It was the worst experience I’ve literally ever had. After the stress of the day I seized which I haven’t done in over a year since brain surgery.
I guess I would say that people work very hard to acquire nice things and when paying a company $ 6K to move they should take care of those things. They said they «compensated me with discounts» in their private message but all they did was give 60% off storage fees for the damage to the home they moved us out of.
I would never recommend this company to anyone… ever and in fact they can be blacklisted from military use after the continued complaints from military personnel, especially after the driver attempted to punch my husband in our yard.

I would not even give one star to this establishment. They completely just forgot to pick up our property which was a cross country move. After contacting them will several phone calls they still did not own up to it being their fault. Now after waiting weeks for a drop off date there is still no answer as to when and if our stuff will be located and brought to our destination. There is no management or no accountability with them. No one seems to know what is even going on. The lack of customer services is beyond disgusting. I will never recommend business to them. They shouldn’t even be in business. They have caused more issues than necessary. This is a joke of a company, and I use the term company loosely.

This company is Horrible. DO NOT USE AT ALL COSTS. My sales rep Scarlet was very nice and pleasant up front, I had all of my belongings in storage and I needed them shipped cross country by a certain date as myself, my wife and my infant son (3 months) were relocating to the Northeast. I called in mid May and told her I needed the items in Massachusetts by 6÷29÷15, I did not care when they were picked up. She said that a pick up date of ⁶⁄₁₅ would leave plenty of time and guaranteed a delivery window of 3 – 14 days. After placing a deposit and reading the contract thoroughly I noted in there that the delivery window stated it could take up to 21 business days which would put my items for delivery well into July. Since this would make the delivery time unacceptable I sent an e-​mail to Scarlet addressing my concern and letting her know I would need to find another carrier. Scarlet did not respond to my e-​mail but immediately called me (HUGE RED FLAG when sales people call instead of responding to email) and she stated that it was just standard language from whatever government agency oversees the shipping industry and that my specific estimate will be my delivery window.
The movers arrived on ⁶⁄₁₅ as scheduled and loaded everything, and off my stuff went, I thought to Massachusetts. I followed up with Scarlett after a week of not hearing anything and she stated my stuff had been put on a truck and was headed to Boston (I thought that was done when my stuff was picked up at my house…) and should arrive for delivery ⁶⁄₂₆ or ⁶⁄₂₉. Again after hearing nothing I called for more information and this time Scarlet was no where to be found and I spoke with someone in operations that told me my items were sitting in their warehouse in Phoenix and had never been put on a truck for delivery to the East Coast.
Needless to say I was irate, me, my wife and my 11 week old son were now stranded in a new city with an empty house. No bed, no crib, no chairs, not even blankets to sit on the floor. I had to incur the cost of a week stay in a hotel, baby essentials and visit the laundry mat so my family had enough clean clothes to last until our shipment arrived.
Adam with Eli relocation took one of my calls and assured me he would adjust my contract if he had to and to let him see what happened and make sure my shipment got to Massachusetts as soon as possible. After that initial conversation with him he did not respond to any of my voice mails and has not yet done anything he promised regarding my contract price. Also I have tried to reach Scarlet, my sales rep, who also has gone silent and not returning any calls.
When my stuff finally arrived a week late, many of the boxes and heavy duty storage tubs had been crushed and the contents broken. One dining room chair was completely destroyed to the point I am embarrassed for the laborer that had to bring it into my house.
I understand things go awry and stuff happens, all I ask for is someone to stay accountable, apologize if it is their fault, and return my calls as promised. If they had taken the time to do any sort of follow up with me I would not have even taken the time to post a crappy two star review for this dump of a company. But since the GM or owner Adam was not true to his word and has not yet called me back this place gets one star and a heavy recommendation to STAY AWAY.

A friend of mine recommended Eli Relocation and I am so happy she did! I have moved two times in the past 3 years and both times I used Eli Relocation to help me. They are the most affordable and Leon and his guys go over and above what they should to make everything easy. Both times my stuff arrived on time and everything in great condition.
I am recommending them to anyone who needs an out of state mover not only for the prices but also the quality and customer service.

What can I say? My experience with Eli Relocation moving services was both lass than fantastic! I recently moved from Arizona to Kansas and had a 4 bedroom/​2 living room home– MANY things to be moved! Upon the arrival I was overly pleased with the amazing job that the movers packed all my things. Not one item was damaged or broken. I had an amazing experience with the employees, one particular mover Josh was so very helpful and considerate of all my needs and requests. It was very clear that he was more than competent to carry out and get the job done! Not only did I find him very friendly and personable I was also reassured and felt very comfortable in his hands. I recommend this moving company to everyone and anybody.

Worst company ever!!! I was told my stuff would be here in 14 days it took a month. Then Roxanne did not honor my $ 50 off coupon which they advertise on the website! Then the company FAILED to mention that the semi truck that delivers your stuff cannot get into an apartment complex. As a result of the company not informing me of this I had to pay an additional $ 150 for the company to move my stuff from the truck to the U haul and the U haul to my house. Then I had to pay for the u haul charges plus the $ 150 plus call out from work the next day! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. This gets worse. I am on my first box and I have a wine glass, coffee mug and 2 bowls broken. Roxanne is the most cold hearted unsympathetic manager ever and shouldn’t be with this company.

I was given an initial estimate for moving my entire residence. I was also told by the representative that half would be due at time of move and the other half at drop off. She said the drop off amount had to be cash or money order. I explained that both my fiancé and I were military veterans and that we banked with USAA in San Antonio (we are located in Maryland) and it would be difficult to get cash or money order to complete the transaction. She said not to worry about it that they experience this frequently and we would be able to charge the entire amount, due to the circumstances.
I was then asked to provide square footage and a list of bulk items in the home to get a better estimate. The estimate changed several times, to include the actual day of the move. All of my items were already packed and loaded and they asked me to sign a ‘new’ estimate that would serve as the ‘contract’. They had already taken my things! I signed it but they said it was a ‘high-​end estimate’ of the total cost. Nonetheless, I got another invoice that was even higher than the ‘high-​end’ estimate. My fiancé and I reached out several times to the company trying to get an explanation how our cost was 3 times the amount of the initial estimate but no one could give us an actual answer.
Additionally, the ‘manager’ said that because we didn’t get the ‘attempted’ method of end-​of-​delivery payment in writing, that we would have to provide cash. That was not what was told to us at first; otherwise, we would have gone with a moving company that was more suited to our needs. The manager and the representatives stopped taking our calls; they no longer corresponded with us as customers. And we still haven’t gotten our home goods! COMPLETE bait and switch services! The manager said that she would give the owner my phone number so he would call me. But she said that he was going to yell at me and give me a piece of his mind. She threatened me to boot.
BTW– «Proud to offer a military discount” – yeah? What was that? The horrible service, the rude and abrasive ‘manager’, or the complete lack of professionalism? Because I KNOW that there was NO military discount associated with our move… whatever the TRUE price ends up being – both Military Veterans… we were treated like crap. Is the Owner, Eli Pinto (who Roxanne says will call and chew me out for my concerns) a military veteran? Does he know any and/​or respect any Veterans? I highly doubt he’d find this ‘customer service’ acceptable.

I would not recommend this company to anyone I know, so beware when you are considering them as a moving option. I am very disappointed with the service, quality, and code of conduct of this company. I had a somewhat pleasant experience to begin things off, but it was all a disguise by the company and it’s employees. I completed my interstate move. I was staying temporarily in a rental until the purchase of my home was complete, so when Eli delivered my stuff I didn’t unpack it right away. I signed the paperwork and they left. Well a couple months later I unpacked everything and to my astonishment a majority of the furniture was damaged and/​or completely destroyed. I had chips in wood, scratches on leather, and broken TVs. I filed a claim with the insurance company and after 4 months of waiting to hear back about what Eli was going to cover for the damage they caused, which totals thousands of dollars in replacements, they denied any compensation. They said it was because I signed the paperwork upon delivery. I am utterly disgusted with this company and the service they have provided. I am now going to try and dispute the claim, but they will probably deny that one too. What a worthless company calling itself a business and the people in charge there.

Amanda is very friendly and great on providing information. She is friendly and always follows up on your shipment; however, I was given a 3 – 14 day window to receive my stuff. It has been 28 days and I have not received anything! The driver called me the day prior to arrival to schedule a delivery time. I had to take time off work to be available and he never showed up!
I called him to see if he was close and he said he had a delay in Houston and would be here either the following day or the day after that??? And if I was not available for pick up my things would be put i storage and I would have to pay the fees.
Even though the customer service was great, the driver was awful and the driver was inconsiderate and had an attitude.
When he delivered my items, he confronted me about posting a Unilocal review. He tried charging me extra to delivery items to 2^nd floor saying I had more than one flight of stairs. I declined and said curbside delivery was ok. He asked to use my restroom and completely blew it up! (as far as taking the words biggest, raunchiest, stinkiest crap ever!) probably because I complained about him.
Nothing was broken, boxes were damaged and dresser was missing. Eli in its own has good service, but not the drivers they hire.

After moving more than 16 times so far I have to say Eli Relocation was the worst company of them all. They try to screw you and yes, I have proof for that.
After speaking with a friendly sales rep I got an estimate that sounded fair. I choose a Binding Order for $ 4,000.00, which states clearly: ”This Binding Estimate is based on your list of items and services requested!” We walked around every room and measured every single item. The total came up to nearly 1300 cubic feet. Then the mover showed up with a smaller truck (without any markers inside), looked around and told me my items wouldn’t fit unless of course I would pay more. He estimated all the items on the order would be at least 1700 cubic feet — maybe even more. I tried to call the sales rep from Eli Relocation, but she didn’t pick up the phone — even after leaving three messages. The driver made clear that he doesn’t care about the estimate and that this would happen all the time. We started arguing because why is there a Binding Order if they can change the terms??? Some might call this a scam… He couldn’t answer my questions but told me he would make it fit if I would be willing to pay $ 6,000.00! Since I was on a tight schedule I had to take that deal.
When the truck arrived in Los Angeles I looked inside right away and saw that my stuff was right on the marker of 1400 cubic feet. So I called the company and asked them why I had to pay for over 1700 cubic feet when my stuff clearly fits into 1400 cubic feet?! They had no other choice than return the difference blamed the driver and apologized firmly…
Since the truck was filled with another household I am pretty sure they knew all along that they tried to screw a customer.
So my tip is: Double check the markers in the moving truck! You might save a lot of money…

The quote is cheap — but I guess it’s like the saying «You get what you pay for». I spoke with a rep and got a quote. She was nice and helpful. I decided to use Eli Relocation for my move from AZ to WA. I had to be in a hotel for 2 weeks before my place was ready so I was happy that they offered free storage for up to 30 days.
We were first scheduled for pickup between 10am-​2pm. They arrived at 4. The price suddenly went up so I called the company. After a few days of trying to get someone to call me back I finally got a response. We had more items than quoted for. I understood that — but I was quoted for 25 boxes and had 17. I would think that would counter-​balance the charge. Nope. They also quoted me for having an extra chair. When I originally got my quote I said a dining table and 4 chairs. Where was there an extra chair? I dont own any other type of chair so that was a bullsh*t charge. I asked for an itemized receipt of my inventory and was emailed a response that basically said I had 4 extra pieces. I asked again for an itemized receipt and got no response. So my stuff was scheduled for delivery this past Saturday. I was told it would be here Monday — Wednesday. It didn’t come until Thursday afternoon. There was broken glass in boxes, my dining room marble table is scratched, the chairs are scratched on the wood and have water spots all over the wood and leather. My entertainment center is chipped on the edges. My bedroom set that I just purchased a few months ago has water spots on the wood and the wood is chipped in multiple places. The footboard has 7in long scrapes where the wood is cracked. What the hell did I pay for? Next time ill use a different company. Cant get ahold of anyone when I call so we’ll see if I get a call back and some resolution to this.

update: I called Eli Relocation and press 3 for operations. I gave them my information and told them that I had made the Unilocal review. They said the managers will contact me soon. Its 2 days now and no call back!

Eli’s Manager did call me after a week of waiting and apologized, she said she will be calling me back to get my claims information. Till date, I haven’t heard from her, I sent an email requesting that she calls me or email me, I haven’t got a response from Eli relocation.

I just read form and guess what not interested!

We were bumped from our quoted time slot 7−9am do to a bigger job coming along. We were informed of this the night before our move the company failed to share this policy when we booked our moving appointment. The movers did not show up until 6:00pm after several missed time slots. The whole experience was terrible and we did not feel valued as customers and would not recommend this horrible company to anyone the customer service is appalling.

Excellent service from the first phone call with Yamit to the finishing details with Ana to the actual move with Adam. The actual hardworking moving men were amazing. They came and just worked like they were choreographed. Moving from Arizona to Florida and I had a 2^nd stop. It wet like clock and the 4 men plus Adam were amazing.
I would highly recommend working with this amazing company.

I was never able to use their moving services — never got past the first phone call. I had bought a Living Social for 2 hours of their moving services, and called them to make an appointment. I was brusquely told that they were not taking reservations.
He said that they had told Living Social to take it down, but it wasn’t. Which is all fine, and I totally understand. But it really bothered me how the person on the phone was so rude and unaccommodating. Their rates are competitive, how about apologizing for the inconvenience and saying something like, we have dates available after XX/​XX and we can offer a small discount or we could give you a call if a spot opens up.
Something cordial would have been nice, instead of rudely putting the blame on me like I was inconveniencing him for calling him. I understand they may be booked solid, but as a business you need a contingency plan on how to deal with customer service. That’s it! If it had been politely explained to me, I would be sad I didn’t get an appointment, but I would not be as pissed as I am now.
So much for «Offering guaranteed appointments… and helpful, experienced staff» as stated on their Living Social description.

I called them on Friday ⁴⁄₂₅ to inquire about purchasing a Groupon special, because a co-​worker recommended them. I talked to Roxanne who said they had a particular Friday available that I wanted to book. Unfortunately the Groupon special was sold out but she told me about a Living Social special, so I was very happy. I purchased the special and called Eli to book the move. I spoke to Roxanne again but this time around she informed me that they did not have my particular Friday available after all. Then she said that they could not honor the Living Social special due to it being a weekend. When did Friday become a weekend? I asked her why she neglected to mention this to me when I initially spoke to her and all she could lamely come up with was «I didn’t have all the info». After she argued with me for a few more minutes, I was so LIVID I ended the call.
I just wasted $ 90 — what a RIP OFF. Do NOT use this company. Words like scammer and chizzler come to mind. Fortunately, I was able to secure another company and after explaining what happened with Eli, they even agreed to match the price I would have paid with Eli. So while things worked out for me in the end, I am very unhappy with Eli and would never ever recommend them in a million years. Happy customers tell one or two people about their experience. Unhappy customers tell 100 and I plan to do JUST THAT!

I used Eli Relocation for an «in-​town» move. I had them move my stuff from a 10′ x 15′ storage unit to my house and they two guys that showed up were AWESOME! My move took a total of 4.5 hours and most of that was getting the stuff from my 2^nd floor storage unit to the the truck. Unloading took just over an hour.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Eli Relocation for all of your moving needs. Their rates were VERY competitive and definitely MUCH lower then some of the other more well known moving companies out there. They were worked fast, were very courteous, and didn’t make me feel like I was in the way when I tried to help move a few things.

Trusted this company to come 1^st pack, then load, deliver, and unpack my entire house! They were lightning fast and so kind. As you imagine I wanted my hands all over my stuff but they got it all handled including my need to control every detail. They put everything where I asked ad had all the right tools for the job.
I’ve moved what feels like a million times and this has by far been the best experience yet. I don’t have any plans on going anywhere anytime soon which is a bit of a shame to not be able to give this company any more to do for me but referrals and this Unilocal review. If you are relocating let this company prove to you their expertise!
