When you are in need of a top Phoenix, AZ Dentist, call David Weiss, D.D.S. He provides a variety of services from simple cleaning to more intensive dental work.
Dr. Dave is the only dentist I’ve ever been to that truly makes the entire dental experience an enjoyable one. He talks to you pretty much the entire time he is working, making jokes, but also talking about super important things, too(I’m an educator and he has talked at large about how educators aren’t as respected as they should be… bonus points!). Visits are quick and painless. The front office staff treats you like you’re family. I got married in April and when I called to book my cleaning today, they remembered I was supposed to get married and congratulated me! I’ve been a patient there for the past 10 years or so and I am so happy with my experiences that I’ve recommended several people who are now patients there. I even paid my employer extra to «buy up» so that Dr. Dave was in my insurance plan. I can’t sing his praises enough.

Usually I limit Unilocal reviews to retail businesses or restaurants, but when I saw the review by «Kelvin» I felt compelled to respond. My first visit with Dr Weiss was in 1992 and I’ve been seeing him ever since. I don’t know if Kelvin was on hallucinogenic drugs, but in 23 years I’ve never seen anything remotely like what Kelvin described. The Dr Weiss I know is extraordinarily skilled at keeping pain out of the appointment, frequently asks about my comfort, and has a nearly perfect touch when it comes to injecting anaesthesia. The staff have shown the same level of skill and professionalism. I will admit that the Dr does like to joke around a bit, but never inappropriately. Kelvin, there’s no law against humor in a dental office. Some of us find it refreshing and actually an enhancement of the experience. You should try it sometime. No, folks, don’t be afraid to visit Dr Weiss. He’s skilled, up-to-date, and wholly professional in every aspect.

I have been seeing Dr. David Weiss for more than 20 years, with a few years away when I lived out of state. It was a relief to return to his practice.(One of the dentists I saw in another practice handed me a $ 14,000 «dental plan» after my first visit.) Dr. Dave was my children’s dentist when they were young, and they actually looked forward to going to see him! When my daughter had to have four teeth pulled to prepare for braces, he dropped ice cream at the house on his way home from work. She was thrilled. He has a great sense of humor and listens. Because of jaw surgery I had several years ago, I am a little hinky about having dental work done. My teeth and gums are a little sensitive, but Dr. Dave has always made me comfortable and has done great work. When I have had any problems, they work me into the schedule right away. The office staff is friendly and fun. If you’re looking for a competent, accommodating dentist in a great location, he’s your man.

Worst dentist I have had in my 33 years of life. Seriously. First off the woman working the counter has no idea what she is doing and runs the office like it’s a hang out and not a professional place of business. She continued to call me to confirn my «thursday» appointment when i continued to tell her my day off is tuesday. I never had a Thursday appointment. She later lied about requesting my xrays from my last dentist only so they could bill me for more xrays which I didn’t need. Second the so called dentist behaves like a child. My first visit he asked me all these questions and basically flossed my teeth. The next week at my next appointment he asked all the same questions as he did the first time to which i told him several times«we already went over this». He walks around the place telling inappropriate jokes that aren’t funny and have no place in this type of environment. I came to have my teeth worked on, not see a show. He went in to clean my teeth and did a horrible job. I felt like I was his first mouth he had ever worked on. He continued to stab my gums painfully and I continued to speak out. I have had my teeth cleaned too many times to know how it’s supposed to go. He continued to get frustrated with me calling him out on his«handy work» and basically told me to «just deal with it». His staff has no clue what’s going on either. The girl who is supposed to be operating the suction hose failed to do so. I had to keep nudging her for suction so I wouldnt drown or swallow that God awful crap they put in my mouth. My shirt was soaked with water from hose dripping down my back. The Dr. Stabbed me one more time and I got up and left. I told the lady at the front desk how unprofessional this place was and that I was going to report them and she said«who are you going to report it to?». What? Unbelievable. Stay away from this place. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.
