Cant speak for the whole salon, but DO NOT BUY A GROUPON because you will be stuck with LACEY!!! She couldn’t have been more rude! If you don’t like people or talking to them you probably shouldn’t be a hair stylist. Horrible service! Not to mention if you call and complain the owner will never call back and apologize. I understand all the hair stylists are basically their own boss, but this is your business and who you hire represents your name. Alice is incredible though!

Rachel was awesome! Great personality, efficient with a weave, great shampoo and I love my hair at the end! Prices are great too! Found my new stylist!

Lacy Cook is THE «Hairdresser to the Stars» She is a hair artist!

The salon is lovely. I never would have discovered this little gem had I not come to see the best colorist in town Daniel.
My mother and I have been going to Daniel for well over 20 years and faithfully follow him to wherever he lands.
(Like seriously I would let him color my hair in a gas station bathroom if that’s what it took haha.)
Needless to say this salon is very nice, the décor is chic modern. The chairs in the reception area were very comfortable and the energy when you walk in is very contagious. The other stylists seemed nice and friendly. Daniel works magic with color, I am very picky about who touches my hair and he has never let me down. Sometimes he books up quickly so make sure you call in advance, he is well worth the wait.

I see Lacy for my lashes and you won’t find a better look around. I get compliments all the time on how natural my lashes look and they last awhile. She has also cut my hair and I loved my cut! For either lashes or cut you can’t go wrong with Lacy

Lacy has been my stylist well over 10 years. I have very curly hair and she always cuts it so I can manage it. She is a genius in coloring my gray hair. Last year I had back surgery and as a result I was losing my hair. Lacy quickly stepped in, recommend hair products and cut and styled my hair to minimize me thinning hair. Needless to say, I was devastated about my hair loss. After helping me for several months, my hair began to grow back and due to Lacy’s help, I have a full head of hair.
I can see from other posts that some folks think that Lacy is «kurt». She is very smart, she says what she means and is very direct. She is not very chatty when she works and I frankly enjoy that. I am not interested in having a «therapy session» with my stylist. Lacy is the best. At the end of the day, my color and cut has been perfect. What else you could you possibly want. I love and adore Lacy. Nancy D

When I called the salon, they said they would have the stylist call me back to schedule. She was prompt on calling back, but rather curt on the phone. No manners. I felt uneasy, but went anyway.
Do not go to Lacey! Big mistake! She was curt at the salon, cut me off while I was explaining what I wanted, and obviously did not hear me as my cut is horrible. She barely made conversation while cutting my hair. It looked just okay in the salon and when I tried to style it this morning, I could see it was a disaster.
Lacey is an untalented communicator and not good at cutting hair because of it.

Henry Yee does a great job with men’s and ladies hair. He listens to any concerns you might have about your hair and starts cutting away. He then will make any adjustments you may desire, at your next visit. Believe me, you won’t be disappointed :-)

Lacey is the best! It’s a real anomaly to find any hairdresser who is masterful at both color AND cutting and styling, but this girl’s got it going on! I was referred to her almost a year ago because I worked nearby, but I’ve since changed jobs and live all the way in Mesa and still trek out here once a month because she’s THAT good! She’s methodical, perfectionist, and affordable! 5 stars all the way.

I picked up a Living Social deal and lucked out when I scored an appointment with Janine, an energetic, chatty hairdresser who definitely loves her job and, more importantly, rocks at it. I hadn’t had a haircut in a while, and the ends of my hair were pretty much mummified by the Phoenix dry heat. I wanted to cut my hair a little shorter than normal, but I also needed to be able to whip back my hair in a second and secure it out of my face (job requirement when you deal with bleeding and vomiting people on a daily basis). When Janine started cutting my hair in layers, I was worried that the shortest layer would fall out of my ponytail, but I definitely shoudn’t have doubted her — my hair is the perfectly length. I’m super happy with my haircut and will definitely be back.

I bought the Living Social deal for cut & color and saw Lacy here a few months ago. It was pretty much a disaster.
I was changing my hair from a medium brown to blonde sombre to red and I wanted to make sure there would be grey coverage since I had noticed a few.
I brought several pictures on my phone of what type of red I wanted. She barely glanced at them but seemed very confident in the idea of what I wanted so I wasn’t worried. She asked if I was okay with my hair still having the ombré effect but in red tones since my ends were so light. I was fine with this and we moved forward to the coloring.
The color processing took forever. Maybe thats normal for red? I don’t know but I know I sat and watched a cooking show begin and end and another begin and get about halfway before she decided we were ready to rinse the color.
This was where it got bad. She was audibly worried as soon as she started to rinse and asked me how long it had been since I colored my hair. I told her it had been about 4 – 5 months since my naturall color blended into the ombré well. She then let me know that she had no idea my roots were my natural undyed hair and because of this they had come out a bit «hot». Once I got to the mirror I saw that «hot» meant cheeto orange even while still wet. I don’t know why she assumed I would come to get my hair cut and dyed with absolutely zero growth, especially when I had expressed concern about covering greys.
She assured me it was fixable and reapplied the color and I again processed for 30 – 45 minutes. The end result was still bright roots that were noticably lighter than the rest of the color and an average cut. The stylist I’m now seeing elsewhere was pretty horrified but the dye job. She said she assumed I had done it myself with box color.
Lacy was completely oblivious to the fact I was unhappy with the color and actually took an appointment for another cut while I was processing, which I hate. Looking at the other reviews it seems like this place worked out great for some and the décor was nice but I would definitely choose a stylist other than Lacy.

I found a living social coupon and decided to give Cherry Salon a try. SO glad I did! Janine gave me a great cut and gorgeous color. I have received tons of compliments in the last few days. While the coupon was a great deal, their regular prices are very reasonable. If you’re looking for a cute and convenient salon with talented stylists, you’ll be very pleased here!

I’ve been going to Cherry for help with skin for years (microdermabrasion & peels) and I love it! Leslie is fun and knowledgeable and always makes me feel hopeful. My skin is so, so, so much better than it used to be — less breakouts and clogged pores! Thank you!

Janine Jacobs does an amazing job coloring hair, styling, and special occasions (she did my hair for my wedding.) Plus, this place is fresh and clean. The parking is a breeze and its right off the 51 so it’s very convenient. I highly recommend it and don’t forget to ask for Janine. PS: She does brazillian blowouts too… wow!

Cherry combines the ambiance of an upscale salon and mixes it with the culture and energy of a corner barbershop. Everyone is very chatty and the stylists are constantly giving one another shit. Maybe it’s not for everyone but I totally dig the vibe.
Terry Smith is a personable and accomplished stylist who has cut my hair off and on for 10 years. I recommend him enthusiastically.
If you’re looking for a marked upgrade from Great Clips but don’t want to be surrounded by pretentious fashionistas, check out Cherry the Salon and see what you think.

As a girl with extremely curly hair, getting a haircut can be a risky and terrifying situation… Amy at Cherry Salon gave me the most fitting wonderful haircut I have ever had! I finally feel comfortable in my own skin. I feel I look professional and my own age! The entire staff of stylists were extremely friendly and kind, but the sincerity and attention to detail that Amy gave me when I told her my fears of the «triangle cut» were unforgettable. in addition to the wonderful scalp massage I got when she washed my hair.
She even cut and colored my mom’s hair last week… my mother has never died her hair, she was always too afraid… it looks amazing!

Absolutely ask for Daniel. He’s simply the best! Daniel has been my hairdresser now for 7 years. I don’t know what I would do without him. He does wonderful work, never walked out and never not excited about my new color or cut. He’s very affordable too when you’re talking about cut and colors! I’ve recommended him to several friends and they all go to him and love him just the same. Daniel at Cherry the Salon is going to be your hair’s new best friend.
