This place had higher stars until I moved out. I loved living here; I definitely recommend it! With that said, I moved out on 11÷30÷15 and have not received one reply to any of my NUMEROUS emails or voice mails regarding my security deposit. Everyone was so responsive when I lived there, I don’t understand the change… Please contact me! Former resident of Apt 105

I lived here from September 2014-September 2015. I’ll keep this review honest and insightful and let it guide if this is the right place for you. Pros: –management staff– this is easily the biggest pro. Every person in management and security that I met was very nice, honest, and professional. Maintenance requests were usually completed in less than 24 hours unless it was something that they needed to order in. I had a certain situation happen to me and they replaced my locks, and gave me a complimentary gate clicker due to the unfortunate span of events that ensued. –units– while the layouts are a bit«square» the quality of the units are great and well kept. There is a ton of storage in them and the water pressure is very good. My utilities for my 900 sq ft one bedroom ran $ 60 during winter and $ 115 during summer. I was on the first floor but kept my place pretty cold. The insulation is also AMAZING. –Gym– While I had and maintained a full time gym membership, the complex gym destroys other apartment complexes that I’ve seen when it comes to the quality of their equipment. While it can take them longer to fix this equipment, any complex that has a free motion fly machine and smith free weight machine is great. –Location– it’s close to the airport and across the street from the post office. Everything you need is within a 10 minute drive. Cons: –common area– THISWASMYBIGGESTPETPEEVE. Do NOT let the common area of this place be a sell point for you. It’s there for only show. The hours of it change but for the most part on Monday-Thursday it’s open from 9am-530pm. Nobody starts work that late and gets home and situated that early. Sunday’s it closes at 6 or 7 so again it’s pointless. And YES this pertains to the movie theatre and tv areas being closed also. –Location– while this place is central to mill Ave, downtown Phoenix, and old town Scottsdale it ISNOT in a safe neighborhood nor a walk friendly one. I’m 6 – 3200 lbs and I personally thought it was stupid how girls would leave here alone. The things around it are some sort of Muslim mosque, tire shop, gay bar, honey Bears bbq, 7 – 11, and circle K. If that doesn’t say enough, There was a gun related suicide threat standoff(granted nobody was hurt) at a near complex less than 100 yards away for 7 hours. If you want to go anywhere you need to walk. –residents– every resident I met was very nice and respectful however for me personally I was 23 years old and out of state when I moved in here and the demographics of this place aren’t friendly towards that. Half the place are rattlers players. The other half are weird middle aged people in their 30s. –the entrance– while there are 3 gates only the front two are accessible with your clicker. Why? Idk. There isn’t any sort of security camera reasons so I don’t understand why the back gate can’t be opened… But usually it would be broke Overall– great management with some things that can and need to be fixed. The location will remain a huge concern for me, but if you’re somebody who will always drive, not care for a common area, not home often and fly a lot this place is great. If you’re coming from out of state and are a recent college graduate not knowing anybody, I wouldn’t live here

I have lived here for nearly 2 years and it has been a pleasant experience! The office staff is helpful and friendly, and the maintenance requests are usually completed in a timely matter. I’ve never had any issues with my neighbors and the complex is pet friendly. There are some great qualities about the apartments, like the full sized washer and dryer in unit and a sleek looking kitchen; however, the prices increase steadily every year but the apartments aren’t getting any newer. I could get a similarly priced apartment within miles of here that has the option of hardwood floors — one that doesn’t have the stigma of a Van Buren address. Some neighboring complexes look sketch but I never felt unsafe while I have been in this complex. That being said, I would never feel comfortable walking outside of the complex unless it was during peak hours of the day. I think the cost of rent could be lowered mostly because of the location. I gave it 5 stars because my complaints are personal preferences, and nothing profoundly bad happened during my residency. All in all, it was a comfortable experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Oh, and the gym is fantastic. I probably should have used it more!
