History
Established in 2005.
Bill Decker and John New both have professional services backgrounds. In 2003, they foresaw a need for external space for businesses of all types. The Hub has all the things hotels (traditionally a source of business space) don’t offer – a place for businesses to be productive.
The guys thew in a chunk of their own capital, raised a little bit more, and chose Philly as the starting point. They found an ideal space at United Plaza, and wrestled a lease on the space to give birth to The Hub CityView in 2005.
The rest is entrepreneurship history.
Meet the Business Owner
Bill D and John N.
Business Owner
Bill Decker and John New have had so many bad meetings in their careers that they’ve declared war on lame meetings.
Friends since they met at Georgetown, the guys have both sought to make the world a better place through social and environmental support.
Bill volunteers for a UK-based NGO called ShelterBox that delivers aid to refugees of natural disaster and war. He was named an «Ocean Hero» by the Ocean Conservancy.
John started his own 200-member non-profit in the early 90s, which provided housing for disadvantaged families in Trenton, NJ. After Georgetown, John worked his way to Army Captain, serving stints in Bosnia (NATO) and Kuwait to help make the world a safer place. He’s an obsessed environmentalist.
The Hub is a charter BCorporation.
