Established in 1895.

Simpson’s is a third generation family owned business originally established by my grandfather Ben. He was one of the 1^st diamond importers in Philadelphia. The business was operated as a jewelry store until about 1950 when my father Harold became licensed as a pawnbroker and started making loans on jewelry. We continue today primarily as a full service Jewelry Store that Also makes loans on Jewelry that is left with us as collateral

I am a 3^rd generation owner of Simpson’s. I attended law school and practiced for 6 years until about 1975 when I decided to join the family business. I have taken courses at the Gemological Institute Of America but most of my knowledge has been obtained from my father and on the job training.
