Go Popcorn

Damn… this is good popcorn. Easy 4 stars.
My two fav. flavors — 1) Cheese & 2) Caramel Chocolate. The popcorn is fairly priced despite the «gourmet» options. The small is roughly $ 3 — $ 4 depending on the option. Also the small is not so small, it’s huge. They let you try the popcorn before you buy.
Service is not always with a smile but that’s Ok, I just want to eat the popcorn.

I really love this place — and I don’t even like popcorn that much! But they just get things right here. The staff is always friendly and ask if you want to sample any of the flavors (of which there are many delicious varieties of sweet and savory ‘corns). The popcorn is unique and loaded with flavor. The popcorn with a drizzle of chocolate or peanut butter has TONS of that drizzle on it. And when when fill the bags they really load them up! Like to the brim and then some.
Their popcorn is great as a snack but is also great as a gift. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Accidentally ran into go popcorn while wanting a snack. They recommended the dill popcorn or the buffalo. Open to a new try we sampled both. The dill was good but a little too strong but the buffalo was great and decided to get that one. I will defiantly be returning and recommend if you’re open to a new taste!

I LOVE this popcorn place! It smells amazing and the décor is so cute. Everytime I’m in the area, I can never resist getting a bag (or more!) of the peanut butter cup popcorn. The free samples are amazing and their new flavors are always interesting (turkey stuffing was an interesting treat). I highly recommend requesting the chunky bits of popcorn (to get as much of the chocolate-​y peanut butter-​y goodness as possible!

I didn’t really think this popcorn was amazing. I read on the website that there were specialty flavors available that week that included salt and vinegar and cheesy garlic bread. So I was so excited to come and try this popcorn. Imagine my surprise and disappointment that neither flavor was available that day and instead there was a nacho and cajun option. So I settled on Movie Theater butter. Which is fine, but I felt misled. We did get to sample some of their other flavors, and I didn’t think they were mind blowing. Good but not great. I ended up with a small bag of movie theater butter. with cute packaging, and it was tasty but not a must-​stop destination for me again.

I got the chocolate peanut butter popcorn and it is delicious. I finally bought some. I usually just try samples and contemplate buying it one day, but I am definitely pleased. I’ll probably go back again! Only con is it was a little expensive, but I think I can live with it, given the size. About the size of a small popcorn at the movies.

My wife and I have season tickets to the Walnut Street Theater and we will often stop in here on the way to the theater to pick up a small bag of one of their delicious flavored popcorns. There’s a dozen or so flavors to pick from and they always stuff the bag/​container to the rim, so I certainly don’t feel like I’m being cheated in any way! Popcorn is fresh and delicious and reasonably priced.

Great spot to pick up a gift for a friend, and all my visitors love coming here to check out the new flavors. They have the upcoming flavors posted by date of projected availability which is also useful. Go try some samples!

I stumbled upon this place over a year ago and have gone back fairly regularly to get a couple small bags. The chocolate peanut butter is fantastic as is the Wisconsin cheddar. The movie theatre butter is fine too but nothing special. I’ve had some of the flavor of the week’s which some I have loved others not so much but that’s all preference.
Where it loses an extra star is the tins. For $ 16 you can get a nice sized tin but they can’t mix flavors. Now typically if you’re buying a tin you’d expect to have a couple varieties to choose from. It would’ve made the perfect gift. That option isn’t available unless you buy the next size up which is $ 30. I just felt kind of let down and ended up buying three medium bags for ½ the price.
I’d recommend trying this place for sure.

Great Popcorn and some unique flavors. You can sample any of the flavors. I got the movie theatre butter and added a little hot butter which is available in store. — SO Good and cheaper than the theatre. We also got a Medium mixed with Caramel (Sweet with a little salty) and Marshmallow Peep which was a special flavor for Easter. As you walk buy you start to smell the popcorn — Stop in! They are reasonably priced and highly recommended.

I’m not suppose to eat popcorn… it’s bad for my teeth. I know my dentist side eyes me each check up. So I know I’m paying bookoo money each visit. But I can’t help it… the popcorn is THAT good.
Fresh popped cheddar popcorn… that’s what did me in. I was looking for a snack anyway when the smell said, ‘come in, just try a sample’. Tried it, loved it now I’m hooked on popcorn. And with the store changing flavors every week, you just stick to just 1. So I try to curb the addiction is once a month… so far so good, lol!

Never going back to regular popcorn.

The flavors here changes weekly you can keep track of the new ones on their website but their traditional ones are always there: butter popcorn, kettle (my favorite), cheddar and more.

I’m obsessed with popcorn (particularly flavored) and my favorite place to get it was «Pittsburgh Popcorn» — which is apparently owned by the same people as this business and equally delicious.
I’ve been here a few times, and my favorite flavors are the Wisconsin Cheddar and one of my favorite «flavors of the week» is the Sriracha. All flavors I’ve tried have been wonderful and quite realistic (Ranch, etc)
The staff here is super accommodating and will let you try as many samples as you want before making your purchase, which always motivates me to make a purchase (or upgrade my purchase) even if I had just stopped in to check out the flavors.
In addition, unlike movie theater popcorn, it is always fresh with not even a hint of staleness. Also they let you mix flavors! Portions are quite large and generous.
Definitely my favorite snack spot in Philly thus far.

The whiff of popcorn in the middle of a cold, gray Philadelphia afternoon drew me into Go Popcorn, and when I first walked in, I thought that I had stumbled into some mad clown’s lair. The entire place is done in a circus/​boardwalk theme, and the high ceilings make the room seem larger somehow.
It’s very simple to order – walk up to the counter and pick out your flavor. Go Popcorn boasts the classic flavors (buttered and caramel), as well as more off the wall flavors like peanut butter. I grabbed a small bag of cheddar (reasonably priced at ~$ 4), which was bright orange and very intense after a few handfuls (it took me four tries to finish the bag, and every bite was delicious). Eat sparingly if you don’t want cheddar fingers.
You can get gift-​sized packages, as many samples as you need, and there is a condiment bar on the left if you want more salt or butter. Go Popcorn does its product well and it’s definitely worth a trip.

Pittsburgh has come to Philly in the form of Rob Day and Genalle Passanante, popcorn geniuses that have opened up a carnival-​themed popcorn shop in Midtown Village. The waft of butter and freshly popped corn kernels from Go Popcorn beckons and you’d be hard pressed not to enter. The classics are all there including cheddar, movie theater butter, and a ChicagoMix that’s highly reminiscent of Garrett’s Popcorn!
There are also kooky creations that can range from turkey stuffing to garlic Parmesan! So when the GF’s folks were in town, we had to get three large bags to satiate our sweet «teeth.»

The kettlecorn was sweet and salty — a classic combination that goes down so easy. I can certainly attest to the freshness of the kernels — three days later, we were still inhaling these like they were just popped.

If you like Reese’s peanut butter cups, look no further. Creamy bits of peanut butter provide the salt and smoothness, while the chocolate helps to sweeten eat bite.

Cheddar is definitely my favorite. But of the sweets? Chocolate caramel is the one for me — crispy and crunchy. If you’re looking for chocolate overload, this should be your pick.
So if you’re looking for fresh popcorn with great flavor combinations, look no further than Go Popcorn. You won’t be disappointed!

This place is super cute! Decorated like a little carnival/​circus! Staff was friendly when I wanted to try a few and was indecisive.
Decided on the movie style butter popcorn, large was $ 5.50 and plenty. It’s about two larges at the movie theater and I need not point out, a fraction of the price!
I’m taking a star off because while I know I ordered the BUTTER popcorn, it’s pretty buttery. I prefer Nuts to you popcorn bags which are ridiculously ginormous for like $ 3. Needless to say though, this place’s ambiance is adorable though.

HELLOOO popcorn heaven!
My popcorn addiction did not need a popcorn specialty store… or did it?! So glad I stopped by this place. They have tons of sweet and savory options depending what you are in the mood for. Obviously once I stepped in I wanted to buy everything! So I went with a bag of the cheddar and the almond caramel popcorn. They were super delicious and extremely well seasoned. I think the almond was part of the flavor of the week but I have to go back and find out, or at least I have a good excuse to go back and get more. It is a bit pricey so you cant have it ALL the time, but it would make for a fun/​creative gift for someone.
If you are indecisive, it’s ok they give you samples (well, pretty generous samples if you ask me) of the different flavors so you can totally experiment with some of the more creative options.

I came here the other day attempting to find an after dinner dessert snack. Why I have never stopped by here before is beyond me, it’s a little slice of heaven! Go Popcorn has about three traditional flavors and 6 special flavors throughout the week.
Red Cheddar is life changing. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. This place is going to be my new spot, so good!!!

I’m not a big fan of popcorn. It gets stuck in my teeth 99.9% of the time.
My best friend however, LOVES popcorn. It’s her favorite snack and we booked it to this place after dinner one night and found ourselves trying to open a locked door. They were closed, you see.
We stood outside for a few minutes just watching the guy dispose of all the unwanted popcorn of the day and when he realized we weren’t walking away like normal people, he let us in as his last customers of the day. It felt like we had just won the last remaining golden ticket into Willy Wonka’s popcorn factory. I’m probably Charlie’s grandpa in this scenario.
Anyway, my friend enjoyed her popcorn. I liked their customer service. If you’re a popcorn aficionado, check this place out.
