Had an amazing dinner. Service was very good and the food was great. Had my 10 and 9 year old with us and they very happy with the Paparadelle Bolagnese. I had the escargot for Hors D’Oeures and the the Veal Escalope. The veal was very tender and the mushroom cream sauce was divine. Would definately come here again. Come to Boston

Absolutely LOVED!!! My husband and I wandered up for dinner and were seated quickly (on the side of the building not facing the park). We started with cocktails that were delicious! I typically don’t even look at the bread basket but this one was amazing! I had the shrimp salad and it was hands down one of the best salads I have ever had. So delicious! The waiter was friendly and chatted with us. He even gave us a free bag of macrons when we left. If I lived in the area, I would go there all the time!

Solid 4 star experience.
I had 2 friends visiting me from NYC and figured it would be the perfect excuse to go to Parc. We arrived around 12:30 on a sunny Sunday afternoon and were surprised that the wait was only 35 mins for an outside table. We gave the hostess our cell and they texted when the table was ready. Easy enough!
We sat on the 18^th street side facing the park. The ambiance is lovely. Our waitress was extremely patient with our indecisiveness and gave us recommendations based on if we were more into breakfast, lunch, etc. Ultimately, I ordered the cheeseburger, and my friends got the poached egg and asparagus, granola and yogurt, turkey sausage and the beef bourguignon. After we ordered, we received an amazing bread basket while we waited. This was probably the highlight of the meal! My friends kept comparing it to Balthazar saying Parc was just as good! Huge slices of Baguette, sour dough and fruit and nut bread. AND after we finished the first basket, our waitress asked if we wanted a second! Usually I have to sheepishly ask for more bread (and at least pretend I am somewhat embarrassed that we shoveled that much bread into our faces and want more). Very exciting. Speaking of service, our water glasses were always filled but in a very non-​intrusive way which was appreciated given the heat (and our hangovers from the night before).
The burger was delicious. Perfect medium rare, melted cheese, delicious caramelized onions. The frites were way too salty, though. I love me some salty fries but it was too much. My friends loved their main dishes as well! However, I am 95% sure that the granola was just a crumbled up Nature Valley oats n honey bar!!! Wtf. Yes the menu didn’t specify house made granola but come on…
I ended up packing half the burger to go because I was stuffed from bread. Overall it was a delicious meal and great service!

We are there just about every Sunday for Brunch. Greeted with a warm smile from the hostess every time we arrive. Now on to the food! The menu is quite extensive and you can’t go wrong with the simple pancakes or the salmon tartine, the food is delicious. Could make a meal on the complimentary bread basket. Do yourself a favor and give it a try!

Oh Parc, je t’adore! Can you please come to NYC? Because I actually like you better than the upscale French bistro options we have here. #YeaISaidIt!

Came here for Sunday brunch with no reservation. The wait time was 20 minutes — which is very easy to pass across the street at Rittenhouse Square. You’ll receive a text when your table is ready. If you’re a party of 2, try to get a table outside, facing the square. The noise, hustle and bustle of the restaurant will be behind you; excellent people watching and tranquility will be in front of you. What I appreciated most about this space is that tables aren’t on top of each other. Elbow room and comfort is always a win!
Believe me when I tell you everything we ate was absolute PERFECTION.
— Table bread: an assortment of french, sourdough and cranberry/​walnut breads
— Spinach and Goat Cheese omelette with pomme frites #LifeChanging
— French toast (omg, that chantilly cream and caramelized apples)
— Additional side of scrambled eggs and bacon
— Bellini (why was I tipsy after 2 sips? #win)
— Hot chocolate — ok, so maybe everything wasn’t perfection. But only because the drink was lukewarm instead of hot. Whether that want intended or not, we would have enjoyed it better hot.
Portions: hearty, good for sharing if you want to try multiple dishes.
Cost: reasonably priced. I was expecting our bill to be much higher.

06 11 16 Our waiter was extremely considerate and enthusiastic! Trout was fabulous — heavy sauce, but what you expect from French cooking. Food at Parc is consistent. (It’s a Steven Starr restaurant — they find winners and stick with them.) The cranberry bread is a special treat. Mushroom tart is a seasonal hors d’ouevre — flavorful, but salty after too much. Specialty drinks pricey, but fun. Wait for a table by open window in front was not long, and great place to sit on a seasonable summer night — lots of people watching!

Went here for breakfast, service was excellent and so was the food! The atmosphere is like going back in time, it’s a must to see! It is also on the park with plenty of outdoor seating. I wish we had places like this in ny!

Came here for my birthday this year and I was thrilled. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was incredibly attentive despite how busy they were. We got a 5 cheese board with mostly recommendations from our waiter of what we normally like and we could have just eaten that for dinner. He nailed our preferences. Also tried escargot for the first time and were pleasantly surprised.
It was a Tuesday so I got the Pork Milanese special which was perfection but was also the same size of the plate so I could only eat a few bites (but it made for a great lunch the next day)! My boyfriend got the Skate which he thought was a little fishy, but he’s doesn’t get it too often and he also still thought it was tasty. They brought over complimentary house made macaroons with a candle in it for my bday which was a nice touch.
Perfect location for a romantic walk in Rittenhouse Park afterward. Delicious food, and an incredible atmosphere– as if you are literally sitting in France. Thanks for making my birthday special, Parc!

I’ve been here twice, but my second visit really took the cake. We readily started the evening with two glasses of champagne. Luckily, the love of my life also has great taste in food, so ordering was easy:
–Oeufs durs mayonnaise — deviled eggs, with dressed King Crab
–Lobster tartine — a baguette topped with avocado, lobster, lemon and herbs
–Steak tartare — chopped filet, capers, quail egg yolk
–Macaroni au gratin — macaroni and cheese with a crispy baked topping
We lead with the deviled eggs and steak tartare, and it was fantastic. I think I’ll try making deviled eggs with lump crab on top from now on. Steak tartare was so flavorful, it was probably one of the best I’ve had, and the addition of capers and egg yolk were perfect to balance the flavor of the meat.
Great. Two more glasses of champagne, please!
The lobster tartine was good, and I’ll confess I’d like to see a bit more lobster and a lot less chewing of the bread. Baguette can be so off-​putting when you’re surrounded by all this other, less abrasive food. Still, lobster puts me in a good mood. The macaroni and cheese was the ringer, and it is a generous portion of food that is priced competitively against the rest of the hor d’oeuvres. (Our Steak tartare was 15.50, while the macaroni au gratin was 9.50).
All in all, this cute French vibe sits next to the park, and we got a great view during the entire meal. I can’t wait to visit again :)

A delicious and delightful bit of France right of of Rittenhouse Square in the heart of Philadelphia. The atmosphere is awesome and worth the trek to this huge bistro offering a wonderful selection of food and drink with a Parisian flare. And don’t miss the bathrooms which are fabulous too! The entrees were great but I think the bread was the biggest hit. Topped off with great desserts and service. Voilà.

Very pleasant experience. Relaxing setting with great food. Even the bread while you wait for your food is delicious. Will return!

Lovely setting and service, as always. This trip, we were seated in the open windows, which is truly the best of both worlds: feels like you’re outside, but you’re sheltered from the passersby.
PS. Parc’s French baguettes are for sale for $ 3.00 a loaf!

I met some people at Parc during a recent trip to Philly, and I left pretty disappointed. The highs for me were the service, the drinks, and the bread basket… all very good.
Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. I tried the steak tartare, and it didn’t taste very fresh, which wasn’t the ideal way to start a meal. Definitely the worst tartare I’d ever had, and I’m just thankful I didn’t get sick. Having not eaten anything the rest of day meant that I was hungry enough to take my chances.
For some reason, I also ordered a burger (apparently I was in a ground beef mood). The burger was way overcooked for a «medium,» and the bread was the complete opposite in quality to the bread in the basket delivered to our table. My bun was dry, which did little to offset the burger. The fries were good, though, I guess. $ 18 for decent fries and a meh burger? My friend was underwhelmed by his overdone steak, as well. I see a theme here…
Overall, I wouldn’t rush back, but if I returned, I’d probably just stick to the mixed drinks and bread basket. There are plenty of better restaurants in the area if you’re willing to pay Parc prices. I’ll certainly be exploring those next time…

This is my second French restaurant by Stephen Starr and it did not disappoint.
Cocktails: A– (we tried the Romarin, Basilic, and two others whose names are escaping me but one was like a Strawberry Lemonade)
Steak Frites & Steak Au Poivre: A+
Macaroni: A+++
Cheese board: A– … Love the honey that comes on the board, was a little sad there wasn’t a Brie option
My cousin tried escargot which was a riot because he did not like it but I don’t think that’s anything against the restaurant.
They have an adorable outdoor seating section.
Service was great, no complaints, I actually prefer this one to the sister restaurant in DC Le Dip.

Parc has always been a popular spot in Philly and for good cause. The service here is always impeccable. The atmosphere is both classic and classy. It is a large beautiful restaurant overlooking Rittenhouse Square. There is also outdoor seating with heaters so don’t fear any weather
The food never disappoints. The Croque Madame came on deliciously dense bread smothered with ham and perfectly fried egg. There was a side salad with a unique dressing that was scrumptious. My friend got the fluffier omelet I’ve ever seen. Overall no complaints here.

We recently went to Philadelphia for the first time and we only live 3 hours away. It was a lot of fun. We chose 3 restaurants for dinner and Parc was among them. We arrived and the place was really going strong. We seated by the hostess near the window, perfect for people watching! We both started out with cocktails and I had the Monaco. Slightly sweet and slight bitter, it was perfect. We passed on appetizers because we wanted to have dessert. I had the beef bourguignon and thought it was excellent. What I thought were croutons on top of the mashed potatoes were actually lardons, now I am not a person who eats bacon fat but it was so crispy that I had to eat it. Overall we had a nice meal and I wouldn’t mind going back again. I just wish it was paced a bit slower.

This was a perfectly lovely French bistro — very similar to my beloved Balthazar in Manhattan. Our hotel concierge recommended this as a great spot to bring our kids. They had a nice assortment of food that would appeal to all tastes.
We had:
Bread Basket — very good, cranberry bread and sourdough. Delicious.
Moules Frites — very good, loved the broth
Duck a L’orange — very tasty
Ricotta Cheese Ravioli — delicious
Hamburger — very good
Rhubarb Gilette dessert — okay, nothing great
Cocktails — very tasty
Overall, we had a nice meal in a very pretty restaurant. The bathrooms were also very clean.

I’ve been here several times and I always enjoy it. Most recently my husband and I went here for a late lunch/​early dinner and to enjoy the fleeting afternoon sunshine.
We had to wait about thirty minutes and gave our number to the outside host. A man with two cocker spaniels walked in without a reservation and was seated before us, as was another couple who inquired about getting a table but we were seated shortly after.
We had rather annoying groups to both our left and right (at the small bistro tables perfect for two). Three women on our left weren’t as bad as the group of three that grew awkwardly to six. It’s crowded and I found it highly irritating that they kept adding people to their group and stuffing dirty ten dollar bills in the waitstaff’s hands like they were at a strip club.
Ambiance aside we were happy to enjoy the weather and people watch. We got several cocktails, oysters, salad, soup, and a hamburger. We were headed to see Iggy Pop/​Josh Homme at the Kimmel Center and didn’t want to eat too big of a dinner.
Kerry L was our server, she did a solid job. Our cocktails and food all arrived in a satisfactory time frame.
I always like the Rittenhouse Square area when visiting Philly. Will be back I am sure. Total for two before tip was $ 134, after was $ 164.

Great location and food. Service is mixed, servers and bartenders are very professional, friendly abs knowledgable. Host staff leaves much to be desired. During my most recent visit, while waiting in line to put my name in, one hostess came up to the counter complaining about the people she just sat because they were being «pissy» because she had brought them to an unclean table that wasn’t set yet (her fault, certainly not the customers). It was very rude and in front of a lot of patrons anxiously waiting to make reservations. They then accidentally marked me as a no show when they called me because I opted to wait longer (after waiting an hour) to sit outside on 18^th… after waiting another hour, I checked in and they realized their mistake… which was just an oh oops well give you the next table– not even an apology for making me wait an extra hour due to their mistake.
The location and fun interesting deserts are the best part of this place.

Since I was a kid growing up in Philadelphia, I’ve always saw this place as the bougie grown up place to go to, and now that I have a big boy job and can afford it, I decided to try it out.
It was pretty awesome, good decision and will definitely come back again. Prices were just right and the food was full of flavors. Ordered the steak frites and the duck l’orange and our waiter was very persistent and good for first time comers. Reason for 4 star was I wasn’t dying for the flavors, I think it could be better but hey my whole family are chefs and nothing is better than a home cooked meal. :)
A little tip: try to sit inside if you’re coming in when it’s almost dinner time if it’s not busy, although there were space heaters on the top, it didn’t do much justice and I was freezing but ya know to each their own.

Parc seems exactly what the four-​star designation is designed for. It’s a fun spot, with a bustling café ambiance, excellent service, and food that’s very, very good.
I joined my parents for dinner here before they went to their concert at the Kimmel Center. They come here from time to time before concerts, as it’s well located and they enjoy the atmosphere. While it was relatively quieter earlier (we had a 5:30 reservation), that didn’t last long. This place gets busy, and because of the hard floors and ceilings, it gets loud. But while you probably wouldn’t want to have an intimate conversation here, it’s fun to be among the hustle and bustle sometimes too.
Our server (and his supporting team) was very attentive and knowledgeable, whether it came to the food or the wine. The food began with a basket of bread, which was very good – my mother is a particular fan of the bread with fruit/​nuts in it, requesting a bit more of it, a request which they happily fulfilled. The weak link in the meal actually came first: I began with a galette of crab (in essence, a crabcake). On the positive side, it was pretty much all crab. But it felt as if maybe it was just a little over, and as a result, it was a little dry. The accompanying «tartar sauce» was a little heavy on the mustard, which overpowered everything else. It was average at best.
My main course was a big improvement: a poached salmon in a champagne cream sauce with root vegetables and cabbage. The salmon was cooked perfectly and was almost velvety in its consistency, and the veggies (including parsnips, yay!) were quite delicious. Only small criticism: the sauce does start to get heavy after a while, so if there were something acidic on the plate to serve as a counterpoint, that would have helped.
For dessert, the three of us shared two desserts: a hazelnut macaron, garnished with salted caramel cream and pear, and a chocolate moeulleux (sort of a molten chocolate cake, though not terribly cakey, which was good) with vanilla ice cream. Both were delicious.
Parc isn’t a cheap date, but other than the stumble on the appetizer, it’s an excellent choice for a fun dining experience. I’d certainly return at some point.

Le Diplomate in Washington DC looks almost like Parc including the menu and décor — which is a great thing. Parc is a much larger restaurant and I couldn’t believe how packed this restaurant was at 10:15 AM on a Saturday morning. I love how it’s across the street from the Rittenhouse Square Park. The service was fantastic — so no complaints there. We ordered the crab galette to start — it looks like a regular crab cake and it was really good. There were no fillers and it was done within minutes. For Brunch, we ordered the pancakes for my daughters and they really liked it. It was very fluffy and tasty. I ate the steak and eggs — this was good except the steak needs some seasoning — thankfully there was a salt and pepper shakers at the table. I did ask them to cook my steak medium-​rare, but it came out as a medium. I wasn’t in the mood to complain so I ate it. My wife said her Eggs Norwegian was okay, nothing special.
Next time we will eat there for dinner. We love Le Diplomate so we can’t wait to go back to Parc in Philly.

Awesome place for breakfast. If you’re in center city go for it, call ahead to reserve so you don’t have to wait for 30 minutes.
I had Eggs Norwegian which is lol eggs Benedict over smoked salmon with seasoned potatoes and cappuccino. Boy did it hit the spot. You can’t go wrong here.

On a nice summer day, grab a seat at the window/​sidewalk, and watch the day go by. Parc has a perfect location, right on Rittenhouse Square.
Place is much bigger on the inside than it looks, but definitely come early to grab an outside table. We had dinner plans, so grabbed what was to be a «light» lunch. Unfortunately, forgetting this place is french, and everything comes with a lot of cheese and bread (not that i’m complaining)!
We ordered a puff pastry tomato and cheese dish, along with the mac and cheese and the french onion soup.
Before any of the food came out, we received the bread basket. The Bread was great, and so was the butter. I could have had that for the meal!
The puff pastry was good, and so was the mac and cheese, but the french onion soup — it was probably the best one we have ever had! The soup, the cheese, the bread — everything was great.
Service was friendly, and we had a great time. A must if you are in Philly!

Excellent every single time.
Many times I have come to this great restaurant, I’m always busy enjoying the company and the food that I don’t take pictures or even write a review. I mean, it has already almost 1,300 reviews.
This is the kind of place you want to bring business fiends, good friends as well as a date, partner or have a especial occasion. The reason for this is simple: great quality food prepared as it should, excellent service and it always… Always CONSISTENT. This is key for almost anything in life and any kind of success. (This is my believe)
Retro and cozy with a touch of classic and a huge dinning space.
Anything you have there if is not great it will be at least good.

Came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon close to 2 pm and the place was packed! 25 – 30 minutes for a table indoors. Luckily, I found a spot at the bar and was able to seat myself right away
The bartender, Jennifer, was friendly and verrrry patient with the couple next to me who had a million substitutions (English muffin instead of toast, pineapple juice instead of orange juice, one guinness — oh wait, two — oh, wait nevermind, just one, etc). They seemed like they had met recently and the guy (American), was clearly trying to impress the girl (foreign, sounded European) he was with. He kept talking about how everything in America is too sweet, how the service was terrible and he was going to say something to management. Newsflash, buddy, being a difficult customer isn’t impressive to women.
Back to the restaurant, though.
I had the onion soup gratinee, which was good. The broth could have been a little more flavorful, but they didn’t skimp on the cheese and the soaked bread was perfectly soaked — not soggy and not dry.
I had the Mimosa Lorraine, which was yummy also and decently strong.
The food and drink both came out super quickly. So quickly, in fact, that it came out before my bread, which, incidentally, never did come out. The bar shelf /​overhang is pretty short, so you kind of have to bend over really far to eat (even if you are short ;)). Or you will just spill a lot of soup on your shirt: b
I would definitely come back and this looks like a great place for groups — there was several large, boisterous groups having a fantastic time. Another side note: if you are a young woman dining alone at the bar, be prepared to have older men stare at you.
