I joined a Global Fit special through work. I was looking for a very specific gym that’s near my house. Unfortunately, I caught a one-​week virus and was not able to visit the facility until the next week. When I did, it was clear that the gym was the wrong one. When I had subscribed to Global Fit, I went at lengths to ensure it was the correct gym. I called Global Fit to try to get a refund, but their response was that members only have four days to cancel. I tried to use the gym, but it was old, grimy, and didn’t have what I needed. My wife refused to go after the first visit. It honestly feels like they have no interest in customer service. Upon finally being able to cancel (11 month contract), I sincerely apologized to my wife for wasting the $ 500 we ended up spending on Global Fit.

In a large market like Atlanta they can offer good pricing. Usually at smaller clubs though.
In a smaller market they have minimal offerings that are not competitive but will not let you terminate early because they are not competitive. As long as they have an offering they will not terminate outside contract.
I gave them a 2 star because I did get a lower rate at the gym I wanted to use for several years, but now that I have moved the service has cost me more than it provided.

Do not ever ever ever use GlobalFit. I would love to give them 0 stars. They started out a year ago charging me the discounted price for my gym, but over a few months, the gym itself started lowering its fees, but GlobalFit did not adjust there’s! Basically, I was overpaying about $ 15 a month when I was supposed to be in a discount program. I didn’t even know about the rate change until it was the end of my contract. You don’t get the price adjustment unless you contact them directly, so unless you want to constantly be watching your gym rates when you assume a large company takes care of that for you, don’t sign up. Even when I found out I could have had a lower rate, they forgot when the rate changed and didn’t even have the most recent one. Their excuse? «We have over 8000 gyms. We can’t keep up with all of them.» ISN’T THIS THE ENTIRE POINT OF YOUR COMPANY?

GlobalFit is a ripoff! I bought a coupon through their site and it turns out the actual gym cost was the same amount. I didnt need the coupon to get the price they were touting. Instead I spend 55 $ for nothing. When i asked for a rebate while explaining the reason for my request they kept reminding me I bought a no refund product.
The company reminds me of an underground, shady operation trying to fool the public for as long as possible.

I was so hopeful for this place, as my Insurance provider (Aetna) gave me access to discounts through GlobalFit. However, it was not helpful and staff I spoke with for «support» on the phone were less than supportive. My initial contact was simply regarding one question about a gym. The lady who answered the phone was more than eager to redirect my call. She was awfully unpleasant. The person I was transferred to was equally unpleasant. Does not seem worth the hassle. Not thanks.

This program is worthless. I am an Aetna member and I recently checked back on their program to see if anything has changed in the last five years. Unfortunately, I can get a better deal directly at any gym in my 19 046 area then I can on global fit. For example, an individual membership at the Abington fitness center is $ 99 a month. A family membership is $ 150. Global fits prices are about the same, maybe a little bit more, but they also charge you registration fees in excess of that amount. Essentially, Aetna does not provide any fitness benefits because global fit costs as much as going to the gym directly.

Globalfit is horrible. As part of Aetna I’m able to select one of their gyms and «save big». Save big… as in pay much more. Gym memberships are already horrible to deal with. This just adds an extra insult to injury. The selection of gyms are absolutely horrible, the rates are horrible, and the customer service… that’s even worse. Avoid at all costs. If you want to join a gym just do it on your own. It’s less of a headache and less money. There is literally 0 reason to use this service.

CROOKS! That pretty much sums it up.
Sure the deals they offer through your health insurance can save a bit on gym memberships, but that savings disappears after you cancel your Global Fit account and they continue to collect your monthly for the membership you no longer have or desire. In my case it was many, many, many months! They even somehow continued to collect monthly after my credit card expired. They just entered in new expiration dates until the charges went through. When I complained, they claimed I hadn’t canceled. When I provided them a confirmation email, they claimed they couldn’t confirm the charges because the records had been archived. When I provided redacted credit card bills they claimed they needed the originals. I got the credit card company involved. And only then did these crooks make an offer of a partial refund.
Some «bargains» just don’t pay off in the end.
Run, don’t walk, away from Global Fit. It will burn unwanted calories and spare your wallet being pilfered by these crooks.

GlobalFit is a great benefit if it is affiliated with your employer. I cannot lie & say that it is a knock down, drag out great deal, but It saved me $ 100 on initiation fees as well as about $ 8 a month on gym fees.
Big Ups to Larissa Mallory in the customer service department. I wasnt sure exactly what I would need to bring the gym for a smooth transaction, so with just minimal info, she immediately emailed me the necessary documentation to make my experience as painless as possible. That is what I call great customer service.

ANOTHER VICTORY FOR EL CHEAPO
I was about to sign up for a membership at my local gym for $ 90 per month when a friend referred me to GlobalFit. The company I work for has a relationship with GlobalFit so when everything was said and done with I was able to score a membership for $ 65 with no commitment!
They are affiliated with a ton of companies and gyms across the country so I’d highly recommend checking them out if you’re looking to join a gym.
