I bought an old house with radiator heat this past summer. When it got really cold a few days ago I turned up the boiler to keep the house warm. The next day I came home to a gas smell and discovered the boiler was making a loud noise and not keeping the flames contained. I turned it off so we wouldn’t die in our sleep and texted Jeff, well after business hours, feeling pretty desperate with the below-​freezing temps and a blizzard on the way. Jeff texted me back the next morning and came to my house that afternoon! It turned out the boiler had indeed become very dangerous, and he had to dismantle the whole thing and clean it, which he did for a very reasonable price. We’re all snowed in and cozy now, and I’m super grateful that we didn’t have to choose between freezing or burning to death. Thanks Jeff!

Jeff was able to come check out our system quickly, and diagnosed the problems knowledgeably by testing the components methodically. He got the easier-​to-​fix unit up and running that day, and gave us some good back of the envelope estimates on different options for the bigger issues, and followed up with a detailed quote. He also gave us an explanation of our system and told us how to use it to minimize our heating/​cooling costs. We’re having him back to do the repairs we discussed, because his quotes for parts and labor seemed competitive for his level of experience.

Friendly and prompt! I needed a new expansion tank for my boiler and they arrived on time. After the installation, they showed me how to adjust the pressure and waited around to make sure the system was up and running.

Fabulous quick and reasonably priced service. I am so so thankful I read the reviews here and chose Jeff with Aaron heating service. I have an old home, newer (10 – 15 year old) boiler with hot water radiators. Noticed this winter that some rooms/​radiators aren’t getting warm. With guests coming for the holiday, I was worried about our third floor which seems on the cold side to me. I called another big name company. They sent a tech, did a «tune up» for $ 89, and told me I had some serious problems with my furnace. Repairs were quoted to me to be over $ 3000. And the tech was quick to try to hook me up for a free estimate for a completely new furnace. I was skeptical, thank goodness. I called Aaron heating next day at 11am, Jeff was at my home at 1pm and the problem was solved by 1:30pm. My heating system is working fine and I didn’t loose out $ 3000. Total cost of the repair was just over $ 100. He was awesome, nice, knowledgeable, quick and fair. I will forever call him with any heating or cooling problems in my home. Thanks Jeff!

Jeff, the head technician is efficient, helpful, and his services are priced right. I really appreciated how he was willing to try and help me out over the phone, going as far to instructing me how to diagnose what was wrong, and giving me some possible tips on how to fix my heater. Alas I needed Jeff to come out and replace a part on my heater. Jeff is talented with repairs. He entered my house with the part, and got straight to work. Even more, Jeff knows what he is doing. I swear he is so good at what he does, he could repair your heater, blindfolded, while juggling screw drivers in his other hand.
Finally, Aaron Heating and Air Conditioning is fair, honest, and affordable with the added bonus of Jeff being more than friendly. Jeff is up with the times.

Five star service. Jeff was responsive, honest, and very knowledgable. He knew we were in a tough spot (who isn’t when you need an HVAC guy!) and not only did he offer a great rate, but he was 100% transparent, and true to his word. He even ran into a bit of a snag with a clogged compressor when changing out the furnace, and he didn’t ask for an extra penny. A refreshing experience to say the least. Make sure Jeff is your first call!

These fine gentleman came and repaired a pilot light in our boiler this evening. Very nice, very fast, very reasonable price. We originally thought the pilot light was just «out» so we followed the directions on the boiler to re-​light it, without any luck. I texted them on Sunday evening, and got a text back within an hour (on a Sunday!!) asking if they could come the next day. Due to my schedule, that didn’t work, so they came today. Very good communication via text, and I will definitely use them in the future. They also explained when I would need to do maintenance service in the future, and showed me how to bleed my radiators. They also gave me some tips on what to look for that could be signs of trouble in the future. Had some good laughs along the way, too. Great guys, highly recommended!

Jeff came out to fix our furnace and it didn’t take him long to find the issue. He didn’t charge too much, although we found the equipment cheaper in the retail store, he installed and got us going for less then $ 200. On short notice we’re very appreciative. Thanks Jeff.

Overall I had a solid experience. He was timely and diagnosed my air conditioning problem within 10 min after I incorrectly mentioned what I thought the problem might be. He is very upfront (old school) and his knowledge and experience is clearly evident. This consequently, could cause some minor comprehension issues for those like myself who don’t understand how A/​C units operate, too no fault of Jeff. Also to Jeff’s strengths was his ability to answer a barrage of questions concerning other related cooling and ventilation topics.
The next time I need heating or A/​C help I will most likely use these guys again. This was an emergency so due diligence was not a priority, but luckily the Unilocal reviews were accurate.
I’m now a happy customer because my house is cool!

This was a great experience! Aaron Heating came out quickly to fix our HVAC issue in one of our apartments. Our tech was highly experienced and really took his time to explain the current issue and what I could expect down the road. Definitely will call them again for anything we need.

We had some minor flooding in the basement mechanical room; Jeff responded to my message within 10 minutes and was at the house in another 10. The AC condensate line was cleaned out and up and running in another 10 — pretty amazing!
The first company I called wanted $ 150 just for the service call in a 3-​hr window the next day — forget it — I will definitely be using these guys again!

I can’t say enough about Jeff at Aaron Heating. I reached out to him out of the blue in an emergency, and he came through beyond expectations.
On a Saturday evening I came home to find my in-​laws mopping up water in our first floor hallway that was leaking through the ceiling below our central AC unit. We had family and friends coming to the house the next day at 11am for a ceremony for our one week old infant and it was going to be 86 degrees by then. After a desperate search, we found Aaron Heating listed for weekend service at about 9pm. After explaining the situation, Jeff offered to come the next morning. Who makes a service call to a brand new customer at 7:30am on a Sunday!!! Jeff does, that’s who.
The rate was absolutely reasonable, he checked and double checked everything he could to make sure the problem was fixed, offered advice on the damage to our ceiling, and even offered to apply the money we paid that day if further, more expensive work was needed. It wasn’t, because he is a pro, but it just shows you the kind of person he is and company they are.

Jeff is terrific. He’s honest and performs great work. Very reasonable cost and walks you through all the options weighing the pros and cons depending on the A/​C issue. Very reputable, I recommend him highly.

Never written a Unilocal review before, but I wanted to toss in my 2 cents here as well. Just had a wonderful experience with Jeff. My furnace had stopped working, and after seeing the reviews here I opted to call Aaron Heating & A/​C. Jeff answered and was able to come out the same day. Diagnosed the problem in minutes, but due to my odd unit he had to track down a strange part. Worked with me and my schedule to get a good time, came installed it within minutes in the next morning before I needed to get into work. He was also very candid and gave me some good tips about maintenance and upkeep. Highly recommended!

The AC compressor for one of my rental units broke down during this summer and the tenant demanded that the AC be restored asap. I call a bunch of AC companies in Philly, and Jeff answered the call. Jeff came by the building and inspected the broken compressor and explain to me the practical fix vs the expensive fix. I note that I had another AC guy who came to the house before Jeff and only pitched the expensive fix. I asked Jeff which fix he would recommend. He suggested the practical fix and thought the expensive fix was unnecessary. This is very refreshing to have a contractor of this type to convince his customer to go with the practical approach! Because I live in NYC, Jeff informed me that he could simply coordinate and work with my tenant for the follow up visit to fix the compressor.
The compressor was fixed the following week without me being on site in Philly and Jeff kept me apprised of his interaction with my tenant. without a doubt, I would continue to use Jeff for yearly AC maintenance of my rental properties in Philly and any other AC repairs, recommend his services to all residents of Philly!

We called Jeff on a Monday because our A/​C wasn’t working and it was sweltering outside. It’s been less than 24 hours and we’re sitting happy in cool house.
