History

Established in 2006.

After 25 years of mass distribution of lumber to the residential construction industry, I followed my dream of owning my company and specializing in material for outdoor living. Most recently, my company has merged with the largest importer of exterior hardwoods in America, making us the largest distributor in Texas.

Business Owner

After 30 years in the building materials industry, Steve Anthony — TimberTown Founder & Owner — saw a lot right ways and wrong ways to supply lumber. Beyond great products, Steve wanted to work with quality people who treated others with respect. This desire led Steve to take a risk and start TimberTown on a foundation of friendly people, superb service, quality material, and competitive prices.

At the end of the day, Steve wants TimberTown to help people create relaxing and beautiful outdoor spaces that reflect their tastes, lifestyles, and budgets. He also believes his wonderful family has played a huge role in his success; Steve makes spending time with his wife, Melanie, and three daughters a priority. Among his other passions are volunteering at his church, attending local events or concerts, and watching football (especially his Alma mater: the Baylor Bears).
