Established in 1990.

Was originally opened in 1990 by a Father & Son team Keith & Tad Buchanan, Allan & Alice bought the business in 2000 & have been running it ever since, now our daughter April & 2 sons Tyler & Jeremy work here now too.

Alice started learning the art of window tinting in 1995 in Amarillo TX. at a shop called Auto Trim Design, we moved to Round Rock in 1998 & she started tinting at a tint shop here in Austin, until we heard about Austin Car Protection & More for sale in Sept. of 2000 so here we are still today, we 1 piece all back windows & use only lifetime warrantied films.

Its very hard to find and easy to drive pass. The location isn’t really that nice. Pavement is cracked and worn, tight spots.
4 stars due to the customer service. Easy over the phone to schedule an appt but when I walked on, the man at the counter gave no customer service. I said good morning, he ignored it.
But the service was so quick, les than 2 hours. It looked great and they educated me on the process on what to expect in the next weeks. Life time warranty and it follows the car, not owners.
Update: I took the car to the dealership right after to get the interior detailed. They scratched the car. And took my car seat out and didn’t put it back. Luckily, Roger Beasley Mazda had the part in stock and replaced the part and absorbed the cost.

Excellent customer service. Took in my 2012 Chevy Cruze that had tint installed from these guys the same year. 3 years later the rear window had severe bubbling. I had lost all my warranty paper work since the installation. Custom FX called up the film manufacturer and got my replacement covered through warranty anyways. Saved me $ 100+. Highly recommend this place!

I had a hard time finding it. My maps took me around in circles, but its off the Pflugerville exit by the Tx Roadhouse. :)

I’ve been getting cars tinted here since the father and son original owners were here. I can honestly say I was concerned when they sold the shop but gave Allan and Alice a shot and I was not disappointed! Tomorrow I will be taking my daughter’s latest car in for a tint and this will make number 8. I keep going back for one simple reason, I have never had a bad tint job from them, whether it was a basic tint or top of the line ceramic, the quality is always the same. If you want a great tint, done right, and at a reasonable price, look no further.

Austin Car Protection has tinted about 5 of our vehicles. From a nasty tint removal & gorgeous replacement tint installation on our daughters entire used car to my own used cars untinted & unbearable two front windows, these guys rock! Alice is always cool. She is super nice, very knowledgable & works hard to please her customers. Not once has she ever been rude in over 8 years! This is a great little family owned tint shop. We won’t trust our vehicles to anyone else. Their prices are fantastic, quality is out of this world, & the owners are like friends! From the first car we ever took there, to my fresh tint job done just today, I’ve been very very happy! Like I said, THEY ROCK!
