The Home Depot

The employees here tend to be incredibly knowledgeable and super helpful. There is the occasional lazy employee, but for the most part, they’re top notch. We come to this location often, since it’s close to our home and we are always needing something (a/​c air filters and a replacement sprinkler head was what brought us last time). The employee we dealt with physically brought us to the items that we were looking for. I love that; so much better than some vague directions to where something is located and then you have to ask again if you never make it there!
For paint, home depot is so much more affordable than Sherwin Williams and we haven’t had any issues with their color matching thus far.
We will continue shopping here for all of our home maintenance and improvement needs.

I rate at 4.5 stars. Good location. Large parking lot and large store with plenty of options. Bathrooms are kinda sorta clean but outdated and not always stocked on toilet paper or paper towels; 3 out of 5 stars for the potty. The staff are generally quite friendly and helpful. They are not ALL knowledgeable but they can usually find the one person in the store who is the expert in whatever I happen to need that day. The prices are quite reasonable and the return policy is top notch, in my experience. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it sometimes takes a good 10 minutes to get the expert or manager I need to speak with that day and because they sometimes do NOT have what I need, despite their huge inventory. For common products, or simple tips on the best way to do a common project, this is a good place to go.

I love this store! Betty Sue, Mike and Christine in cabinets, Tyler at the service desk… Junie…Shawn in doors… and so many more. Oh, and the sweet lady… can’t think of her name, dang it! Short older Hispanic lady… just the sweetest person EVER. Vivian… that’s it. ANYWAY. I am flipping a house, so I’ve been in there every single day. Sometimes in tears, practically. (If you’ve ever flipped a house you know why!) LOL
The people in there are just the greatest. I’ve never had a lazy associate there… not once. Home Depot Corporate! Are you listening??? This store is an example of how it should be done. 5 stars, and more if I could.

I came here this morning to get a tarp and forgot to grab my cash back from the self check out. They kept it for me :-)

My significant other always visits this location to grab tools for work. I tend to tag along… and bring my dog!

Very nice Home Depot, very clean and organized and everyone is very helpful! We come here for all our home improvement projects and to buy misc items for the house.

Everyone that helped us today was awesome. Especially Claudette, the team member that works in the paint department. She helped us find the perfect paint for what we needed and listened to everything we were saying. She was pretty busy and never did we feel rushed. Awesome service. We were stopped several times by employees who asked if we finding everything ok, which is always a nice touch. The team member in the key department was also helpful. The checkout was speedy and the cashier was super friendly. All around this was a great experience at Home Depot! You have great employees working for you! Good service goes a long way.

Trevor in the paint section. That guy knows his stuff. He knows where everything is. How everything will turn out. And has amazing energy and very helpful! I will be coming back to him for the rest of the rooms in the house for sure.
Amy our cashier was soooo sweet and patient with our ten thousand item check out. Very organized with loading and bagging. Just, so nice.
And Shawn helped me with the propane tank, he knew the prices right off the top of his head as well as the competitor prices. Very impressive. Walked me out and helped me take it to my vehicle. I wish I remembered all the rest of the staff’s name because I’m telling you, every single person was amazing.
NOTE: I went at 8pm at night, this was perfect. There was only like one other party shopping. Made it great for clear thinking. Hahahha. But yeah. Saturday’s at night. Perfect time to go.
Awesome store. They must have some stellar training or really know how to hire good people.

Love this home Depot. Usually everyone is so helpful and friendly. Jessica in paint was short and snapped at her coworker because he was telling me I needed a small chip to color match. She turned around and snapped at him. I left and came back. She was still here and when I walked up to another employee at paint to hand my chip in, the employee said the chip is more than adequate. Jessica again turned around, rolled her eyes and snapped at her. The girl turned red. I felt bad for her. Jessica needs to learn better social skills.

The people at this home depot know me by name after the amount of business I have done with this home depot. I used to be a Lowes man, but after moving to a new house and having the closets Lowes more than 3 times the distance, I choose to do business here. Every time I walk through the door I am greeted (and in many cases I am greeted by name). Unlike some of the other stores in Austin and surrounding areas, I never have trouble finding an associate to help me out. I am often asked multiple times during a visit if I need help with anything. It is very clear that the management has placed a serious focus on customer service and store appearance.
The only issue I have ever had was with one online order that was really late in the day and close to closing. The plumbing associate gave me the wrong items and the wrong quantity I had purchased. Also, one of the items I ordered went out of stock as they were gathering items. The service after this mess up was great. I received a discount on all the items plus a $ 10 credit for the error the store associate made. Because of this, I ended up making larger purchases here opposed to Sears or Wal-​Mart.

Associate experience depends widely on the department. I went to the Bath dept to order a replacement toilet. I arrived at 1245 and waited 20 minutes waiting for help. I asked 2 passing associates if they could get someone to Aisle 32. No luck. I called the front desk and asked them to page someone but no one was available to answer the phone.
I ended up going to the Flooring dept, and the very helpful staff member there got me signed up for both my flooring and bathroom projects!

This is the best Home Depot ever! Everyone has been living their motto «You can do it, we can help.» In general, I typically try to avoid big box stores, but this one has a very local feeling. (I know they aren’t and I also frequent a local home materials store in South Austin, so please don’t rip me to shreds for that comment.)
I’ve attended several helpful free workshops held in store. (Find out what classes are coming up and register for those on their website. And the do-​it-​herself workshops should be updated — not all women are clueless when it comes to power tools and not all men aren’t.)
Almost every employee has been helpful and knowledgable. If someone doesn’t know the answer to a question, they can usually help you find the person that does. There are so many wealths of knowledge walking about in orange aprons. Lockwood is a phenomenal source of information mixed with a level of customer service that would make you think he was Mr. HomeDepot himself. ;)
Having this location as our neighborhood Home Depot is definitely an unadvertised bonus for our new house.

This Home Depot is my absolute Favorite Home Depot! They’re ALWAYS helpful & can point you in the direction of Anything you’re looking for! The staff is very friendly & kind. the store is always looking great… & I can always find what I’m looking for!

I love this home depot, every time we go here… people that work here are so ridiculously helpful. I mean, you can’t walk around a corner without someone asking if you need help. Maybe it was the time of days we went, but everything from the garden center, to the grill area, to the plumbing section. Very very helpful staff.
I also looked up a smoker online to see if they had it at this store, and it was tucked away in the corner right before you enter the garden area. They have some good deals there.
We broke a pipe last week and had no water, so with the helpful guy in the plumbing section… we were able to McGuyver and hand craft an addition to the pipe that works beautifully.
The plants are hit or miss, but they had a few sales during the month of April and I hope they extend into next month. I got a few snap dragons for $ 1 a pack and 2 huge ferns for $ 10. Maybe this is a sign that I am getting older, but I have never been as excited and into home improvement as I am nowadays.

What can you say about Home Depot that hasn’t already been said? Not only is the location convenient but they have a friendly and knowledgeable staff that goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied.
I really like the outside garden department, I do wish the selection was a little deeper but hey you can’t have everything. I especially like the 1 yr guarantee on plant purchases, unfortunately my wife and I have had to use the guarantee a couple of times…
Lastly, the cashiers are great, they even help me use the self-​checkout, lol, I always screw those things up to the point of no return and they bail me out with a smile every time.

I would give this Home Depot four stars based on the majority of my experiences.
I do have small bone to pick …
I would like to start with some praise… Kiddos to Jim, Bud, Larry & Senea for all their with help over the last week returning a horrible dishwasher and buying a new one!
That being said it’s because of the above people you get 4 stars because for the three unnamed people if I had felt only with you I would now be a Lowes guest.
Now to pick the Bone:
If you are going to have people in place in a dept. please make sure they know what they are doing … I just spent over $ 2000 at your store and if it weren’t for review sites like Unilocal and such I would not know what to buy! Make sure that you have the right people in the right place. We had to buy a dryer last week and while waiting over an hour and a half to be finish the sale I watched two other couple leave because the people that needed the help got the none and walked out and y’all missed out on making a day and huge sales ! I had a lady tell me that y’all had top loading dryers … Really …
I will still return and there are enough great people who work at this location not to give it 4 stars but it could easily be a one star review.

Everyone here is helpful, and they usually know how-to’s for projects. If I’ve asked someone who isn’t sure, they’ll find someone who does know.
I can usually find why I need easily, as well as a few things that aren’t on the list. :-)

When I was younger, I used to dread going to Home Depot. «There’s nothing here for me!» I would emphatically whine to my parents. «How boring, can I just stay in the car??» They would just ignore me as we walked in.
Now that I am an Adult and I have a House and Responsibilities, going to Home Depot is the best thing ever. I actually look forward to coming here. We are pretty much here every weekend and I love it. I love this Home Depot location, too. It’s a giant, clean, well-​stocked store. I’ve always been able to find associates (who are pleasant!) when I need wood cut, have questions about a product, can’t find a certain product, need to rent tools, or need them to look up something for me.
We’re even here so much, that some of the garden center employees know us, and have taken a genuine interest into our home projects. We’ve done some major landscaping for our backyard (including a pond), and some big construction projects (aviary) — and it’s kind of a neat feeling when you walk into the store and they start asking you how your project is going and if they can see pictures of it. How cool!
Tack this store onto this list of places that make the Stonehill Center in P-​ville so great. I’ll see you guys next weekend. And every weekend.

The Home Depot in Pflugerville rocks!
Firstly, they matched an _​outrageous_​price I found on a washer that I’d seen (on a credible cos website, of course) on the internet. Secondly, they took my order _​over the phone_​at about 8:30PM on a Saturday night! Thirdly, delivery was set for _​Tuesday_​the following week. And FINALLY, when my husband decided he didn’t like the look of the washer I bought, and I had to go back to them, tail between my legs, and ask them to substitute another one, the guys in appliances only asked for a little bit of time! They were able to fix everything it took to get the job done and still get the order out to me within a few days of the expected delivery date! I couldn’t be more impressed.
In the future, I will be doing as much shopping as I can with them.
