Frost Bites

Been here several times over the last couple of months for a delicious frosty treat and I have not been disappointed! The kids running the stall are friendly and I’m immediately assisted. So far I’ve had the coconator and the mangonator. I love both of them but probably the coconator a little bit more as it has a little bit more to it, but the mangonator was awesome since it had fresh chunks of mango in it. Would be cool if the coconator had that although that does come with toasted coconut flakes a-​plenty. I am ADDICTED!

Please, hire more staff! We waited in third position in the drive-​thru line for more than 20 minutes before receiving our order. Also, they took our order in a place where we couldn’t see the signs detailing what they offered. The worst thing you can do as a business owner is have customers in line wanting to give you their money, and the service is so bad that those customers end up leaving and never coming back.

The girls working were very nice and I was surprised they were open in March.
I ordered the small wedding cake cream. The ice was a nice texture but the flavor was non existent. I do see they added it… but I would never know if I hadn’t watched them.
I threw it out after maybe 4 bites. I would not go back unfortunately.
I am originally from New Orleans and this simply doesn’t compare to what I expect when I order a snowball.

Their snow cones are simply delicious! And in my opinion fairly priced. Lots of flavors to choose from and even some creative creations.
The only thing I wish they had were some recommendations of flavor combos, but that isn’t a big enough deal for me to give this less than 5 stars.

I’d heard about this place but had never been until this weekend. It’s in an unassuming «strip mall» of sorts and even has a little drive-​thru. You can also park in the back and order/​sit inside to eat if you prefer. That’s what we did so we could take our time to peruse the menu. There are tons of flavors, but in the end I chose dreamsicle and my husband chose half grape and half raspberry. Even a small is a lot of ice, which is a good treat on a hot day.
The only downside was that I didn’t get a lot of syrup with mine, and there were white spots in the middle of my cup. This made for a very dry sno-​cone and I had to let it sit for a bit to melt so that there was enough syrup to eat the rest (we had left by this point or I would have asked for more).
One small and one medium cost $ 5.

A solid «not too shabby» review from me. Good variety of flavors, and you can get yours «filled,» which means a scoop of ice cream in the middle of your ice. Lots of toppings available, too. I liked the wedding cake ice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
I agree about the Cookie Monster Jr. Don’t waste your money on that!

We tried the sno cones today for the first time and they were very good. The small was plenty big and there was a lot of syrup. I had the blue coconut which was awesome (very sweet!) and my son had the blue raspberry flavor. I thought the prices were affordable and the staff friendly. We will be back!

Please note: this is ONLY snow cones. So we got the Cookie Monster jr for $ 3.00. Overpriced.

Love this place! Drive through, they take cards, and their cream is excellent! Sno Beach quality without the lines and heat!

Frostbites has taken a 103 degree day down to about 50 degrees. This place is always consistent. I just wish they would pave the driveway.

It’s very irritating to pull up with only one car in front of you and it takes 20 minutes to order and get a shaved ice. Also, when the business posts a deal in GrouponNow, they don’t let their workers know, which leads to confusion upon ordering (this has happened more than once). Why does the customer have to point out what the Groupon clearly states? Then the worker closes the window with an attitude. I used to really like this place, but with the time it takes to make it through the line (I’ve been about 8 times this season with the same wait) and the attitude of the workers who have no clue of customer service, my rating has went from good to bad. Not to mention the hours of operation posted aren’t really the hours that they are open. I will stay away from here so I can avoid the same headache I get over and over from this place!

We used to love this place when they first opened 3 summers ago. But slowly overtime things just go downhill. I like a previous reviewer have been at the location during «business hours» and no one is there. Late last summer we started getting pieces of plastic «shaved» bag in our sno cones. Talk about not only health hazard but dangerous to my 2 year old at the time who would eat their sno cones.
The major down turn for us was we have visited the location 3 times since they re-​opened and then on Saturday they had changed their prices by about $ 1 per sno cone. Doesn’t sound like a lot but when we are purchasing 3 – 5 sno cones at time. My question would be why not change prices when you first open? I also have an issue with posting the «new» prices on the window your staff conveniently swings open and it gets covered by the flavor list.
If the sno cones were consistent we would continue to go but they just aren’t– and they don’t know how to pack the ice in the cups the small is half full by the time they had it out the window because they don’t pack the ice! Seriously by now I thought you guys would have this down!

I love this place too and a few times we have gone twice in one day, but we have been there a couple of times now during «business hours» and they were closed. Why post business hours if you’re not going to be open?

Because I visit the nearby bunny shelter fairly often, I’ll usually stop at FB during the hot weather. And what a relief! Unassuming from the outside but when you step in, it’s cool as the shaved ice they serve. :) The prices aren’t bad and the family and I love to indulge by adding a scoop of ice cream on an occasion here and there. My son usually orders Granny Smith Apple, my daughter loves Red Velvet, and I usually go with strawberry cheesecake. Very comfortable atmosphere and employees serve with a smile.

The summer weather in Pflugerville Texas can be excruciatingly hot, which is only compounded by the fact that it almost never rains. There are very few places where P’ville residents can seek refuge from the heat, and in the face of these circumstances, something as simple as a busted a/​c unit can make a fifteen minute commute feel like an eternity. Everyday when I step out of my house I’m reminded of childhood stories about Native Americans and Rainmakers, and I pray to the gods of meteorology that I may receive even the slightest bit of cloud cover on my way to work. My coping mechanism of choice is cold drinks and other such beverages, so naturally I get a little excited whenever I’m offered an alternative to diet sodas and iced coffee.
I visited Frost Bites today and was pleasantly surprised to find such a wonderful establishment based in my own backyard. I hardly consider myself an authority on snack foods and frozen treats, but I’m tentatively giving Frost Bites a five star rating because of the range of flavors offered, the overall quality of their product, and the coziness of their venue. What’s more, if you’re anything like me and the a/​c unit in your car is in need of repair, you’ll especially appreciate having a local snow cone stand from which to purchase goodies to cool your insides– a welcome retreat from the harsh Texas climate

This place has the best shaved ice around-​it truly is like snow! The staff is super friendly and my family absolutely loves this place. They have a huge selection of flavors so they always have something for everyone.

I love Frost Bites. A wide variety of yummy flavors and sizes and the staff is always friendly.

Cute place, nice and cool inside with plenty of seating. Choco-​Banana is yummy!
