Tea was found by a Chinese way back to 4700 years ago with an amazing art of tea culture in China history to now. This is a trail of «giving», not «taking». Welcome come to experience the treasure of earth.

I stopped by on a hundred degree day and couldn’t bring myself to order hot tea so I ordered a mulberry slushie instead. It was good, but they were out of pearl balls. The atmosphere is very nice, but I think the location is holding it back. I was the only customer at 5:00 on a Friday. The have free Internet and a very good variety of drinks, hot and cold.

A true gem!!! There is nothing like this within a two day’s drive of here.
It may come as a surprise to many that great teas can be every bit as complex and spellbinding as great wines.
The owner of Formosa Art, Riva Chung, has been studying tea for over 25 years. Her experience extracting the most marvellous flavors textures and aromas from teas is unparalleled. While there are offerings such as bubble teas, the real stars are Taiwanese Oolongs! These are arguably some of the finest teas produced by any country.
Formosa art is the only teahouse in Texas that serves tea as a Gong Fu service. Gong Fu Cha is the skillful art of preparing tea and this is the soul of this modest teahouse. There are only a handful of teahouses in the U.S. that serve tea this way, most of them on the West Coast.
Formosa Art has an intimate, inviting feeling. The proprietress is very warm and willing to teach. For all of these reasons it is one of my favorite places for tea and company.

A great little cultural find in P-​ville.
Not only does it offer yummy bubble teas, milk teas, & frozen drinks, the owner makes wonderful desserts like a tea-​amisu cake (like tiramisu but with tea flavor– yummy) and appetizer type food as well.
They even have health & beauty herbal teas.
Several days a week there are social & art events– movie discussions, games of Mah Jong, poetry reading, music and there seems to be a nice little community of regulars.
Formosa also has a booth at the Pflugerville Farmers Market every Tues.

I learned about this little tea house in Pflugerville after having lunch with a friend of mine today. I have driven by this shopping center in downtown Pflugerville countless times and never realized this restaurant was tucked into the corner. If you find yourself in Pflugerville for some crazy reason and want some funky tea then definitely check this place out. It is a nice change of pace from your normal coffee hangout.
My friend was amazed with the Mango Slushie and I enjoyed the Jasmine Green Tea with pearls. I wish I had found this place sooner — apparently they have been in business for over two years now. If my Friday nights were not already spoken for by my volleyball crew, then I would definitely come here to relearn the game of Mahjong.
They also have a different event on every Wednesday night like a film discussion or a poetry sharing. Check out the website for the latest schedule of events and maybe I will see you there on some Wednesday evening.
