I have always had a positive experience at this place. They have always taken their time to answer my questions and point me in the right direction. I’ve always liked the small time charm of Pennington Hardware. It is not open late, and is not as cheap as Home Depot, but that is not what this place is. It is a small, family run, local hardware store in a small town. I prefer to support local places when I can.

I love this hardware store! Contrary to what some other reviewers have said, my experiences have always been positive. The owners have always been cordial, friendly, and ready to help. Yes, their prices may be a bit higher than the big box hardware stores like Lowes and Home Depot, but Pennington Hardware often has those unusual, hard to find items and they work hard to make sure you leave as a happy customer. I am always more than happy to pay a bit more for the convenience, knowledge and personal service I can always count on when dealing with this business.

Rude and expensive. «We are in the business of selling» when asked if they could offer advice and assistance. Home Depot is ½ the price and twice the service. Disappointed as I was looking for a new hometown hardware store.

Really disappointing — this place is never open. it would be nice to have a local store that is is actually interested in your business. doesn’t help that the place is way overriced. Maybe that’s why they’re never open…
