I am happy to support this local neighborhood hardware store, as it is one of the last few mom-and-pop hardware stores remaining in the area. I’ve gone to this store quite a few times, and I must say the service is top notch. Either one of the older gentlemen will approach you and ask if you need any help, or you can ask one of the younger guys and surely someone will tell you whether they stock the item you need or suggest a possible work-around. It’s amazing how much stock they are able to pack into a store with such a small footprint. You may think it’s a small store, but when you«drill down» to the details, they are highly likely to have what you need! Once I went out there to get a faucet rebuild kit, and they helped me find the right one based on the parts I brought with me. Another time a thermocouple on my furnace quit, and they helped me choose the replacement part and told me the brand is the same as what your gas company service people use. They also have good stock of pipe joints(and they are high quality, not the crap at Home Depot), bolts, hardware for faucets and toilets, electrical supplies, tools, sealing compounds, etc. I had bad experience with copper fittings from Home Depot, but the ones stocked by this hardware store were American-made and professional quality that worked the first time. The only negatives I can think of are their store hours: I wish they would be open longer in the evenings and on Sundays(I believe they close at 3PM on Sundays). I usually go here first when I need something. If they don’t have it, then I go to Home Depot or Lowe’s. Hope they stay in business for many years to come!

Their website said they were open until 7, so I went at 6pm and the guy was locking up. «Winter hours.» I said they should update their website, then, as we’re already into March. He ignored me and walked away. I then went back to my car and as I was getting ready to leave, another employee honked his own car’s horn to get my attention. I rolled down my window and he said, «You have to leave so I can lock up the gate.» I’m an event planner who could have sent them lots of tent and rental business, but with those attitudes, I’ve quickly crossed them off my list. Worst hardware store around.
