For 30 years, Keuka Spring Vineyards has been producing award-winning wines in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Come visit their hillside tasting room overlooking Keuka Lake.
Great view. Terrific customer service. The gentleman helping us was personable, funny, helpful. The wine is great. Great view and beautiful property. I highly recommend the vignoals wine.(I even bought a bottle) I would go back to this winery just for the experience. Nothing to complain about. Highly recommended you out this one on your list. I may have to have some wine shipped to Colorado

We visited as part of the Keuka Lake passport, but tastings here are free of charge to everyone. One of the owners was our host for a very nice tasting. There is a good selection of wines, from dry reds to sweet whites, so almost any wine lover will find something of interest. We stopped by midweek, so they were not pouring their«R&D» wines(these have a modest charge, and they included an interesting cab franc ice wine). We’ll try to get back to get a sample on a weekend. The location is absolutely beautiful and we’ll definitely take advantage of their picnic facilities in warmer weather.

Finger Lakes Wine. Yes… Finger Lakes Wine. Ugh, so good! And just a little too far for a day trip. But a perfect spot for a weekend — and I definitely have it on the list of places I’d love to head to when we have a plans-free weekend and are digging some low key time. I was introduced to Keuka Springs Vineyards during a speed tasting at the 8th Annual Wine Bloggers Conference. I really liked the wine we tasted during that session and grabbed a card so I could head over on my way back to Vermont. When I stopped in with a friend we loved the space and enjoyed speaking to half of the couple that owns and operates the vineyard. She was awesome to taste with and we had fun talking grapes, styles, and my obsession with orange wine. We also met her husband and talked about some interesting things they’re considering with Gewürztraminer. After tasting A LOT of wine we ended up buying several bottles to bring back home and enjoy. My focus was mostly on red including the epic reserve and a few others. Keuka Spring understands that the FLX are able to produce amazing wines, knows which vinifera grapes will do best, and rock the winemaking world. Definitely a must visit when in the area. In the summer on weekends they have local restaurants come in with food and there was a man singing outside. Pretty amazing! (I purchased all of my wine at the reduced industry rate; this was not offered to me for a review but because I’m a wine writer. It also has no bearing on my review — they are awesome).

This was my best overall experience with a winery in the Finger Lakes. Though the property is not exactly lakeside, you can sit out front and still have a beautiful view of Keuka lake. Actually, it’s place on a hill makes it feel a bit more intimate, and the property is downright beautiful. Of course they are also known for their free tastings, which is a nice gesture. The gentleman who helped us was extremely welcoming and helpful. He asked us our preferences and did his best to choose the wines we would appreciate the most. We didn’t have a single bad wine here, and honestly I would buy every wine we sampled. Even their dry reds, which I am usually not into, are all delicious. The Lemberger is very peppery and pleasing and would compliment a meal very nicely. In terms of whites the semi-sweet Riesling and Vignoles are truly delicious, and Clara’s Red is a great every day sweet red. Overall I think there’s something for everyone here, and the staff is very warm and friendly. Their prices are a fair value, and a free tasting is always appreciated. I will definitely be back.

This winery is one of the best on Keuka lake. Their rieslings are amazing, and best of all their tasting is free. In my opinion, a free tasting says that the establishment has so much faith in the quality of their wine that they don’t need to charge, they know people are going to want to buy a couple bottles. This place also has one of the greatest views of the lake, it’s beautiful! You can sit outside with a glass and enjoy it as well.

A really beautiful hilltop setting overlooking the Lake(That’s Keuka College on the Bluff shore) with decorative wine barrels all over. Great place to take first timers. Not only is it a nice-looking place, the wines have won the state’s Governor’s Cup twice, so they must do something right. In addition to the wine, there’s an outdoor event area and a picnic deck where you can shoot group photos. The wine tasting is free, so who could possibly complain?

Terrible service — they charged us for an extra glass of wine when it was their fault for pouring it. Loud gun shot every 5 minutes really disturbed what could have been a beautiful ambiance. Wine was descent. Id recommend getting it from the grocery store instead.

The winery has a beautiful view and location. The 2012 Riesling is quite excellent as well, but one star off because they don’t have it available for tasting. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Complimentary tasting too. Definitely stop here.

Keuka Spring boasts an absolutely gorgeous view of Keuka lake(one of the best among this lake’s wineries) from its outdoor patio seating, a selection of really delicious wine, and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. They had a live band playing on the upper patio when we arrived here by bike. There were friendly folks dancing and eating some delicious smelling food, enjoying wine by the glass and bottle. Tastings here, much to our delight, are FREE! Their semi-dry riesling, the 2013 governor’s cup winner, is a true gem. It is one that you should not miss when tasting here! We desperately wanted to buy a bottle of it but were here on a detour biking around Keuka lake and didn’t want the weight of the wine. I look forward to returning soon by car so we can leave with a few bottles of their tasty wines!

So many positive things to say about this spot that I don’t know where to begin. The wineries on the«Y shaped lake» are to be sought out by Finger Lakes visitors… don’t just focus on the countless wineries on Seneca. Check out Cayuga and(especially) Keuka Lakes. Keuka has steep bluffs on all its shoreline and has a distinctive Rhine River look — all that’s missing are the castles. The vibe here is more mellow and quieter than Seneca. Seneca is great, but that and Cayuga are the sportsman’s lakes. Keuka is for poets and artists. OK, enough with the Finger Lakes lesson… on with the winery. Keuka Spring, like nearby Rooster Hill(also very good), sits on a steep bluff across the lake from Keuka College. It was about 95 degrees the day we visited but the breezes from the lake made sitting outside bearable. As did the Riesling — it wasn’t marked«Dry» but it sure was dry, perhaps with an ever-so-slight fruit sweetness on the finish. The tastings here are complimentary, the way it should be(visitors are more likely to buy a bottle or two if they are not charged for a tasting). The dry rosé was actually their driest wine, and the one wine that nearly everyone else sitting outside settled on was their Seyval Chardonnay, which was on the off-dry side but perfectly suitable especially in the wine chiller. A winner.

Took a day trip to Keuka Lake from Syracuse. Every bit of the 2 hour drive(and the tolls) was worth it! This winery is a gem, located in a beautiful area, with an ahhhh-mazing view of the lake. The people working at the wine tasting room were friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable. The wine tasting is COMPLIMENTARY(that means FREE!) I was given a sheet with a list of their wines from Dry to Sweet. At first I chose to try just 4, but once I started the tasting, I was advised to try a few more(Yay for me!) We ended up purchasing 4 bottles. Two different Gewurtztraminer, a Riesling, and their Lemberger. 5 Stars for Customer Service 5 Stars for the Wines 5 Stars for the BEAUTIFUL views 5 Stars for not being full of tools, douches, and snobs

Seriously the best vineyard we visited on our tour. Pick any wine from this vineyard — they’re all fantastic. Even the dessert wines are multi-faceted, and not just your normal sugary syrup. The staff are super friendly, the view is fantastic, there are tables you can use for a picnic lunch, and they’ll pop the cork for you on one(or two!) of their fantastic bottles.

Complimentary wine tastings is the first thing to compliment them on. Next is overall customer service. A group of girlfriends and I were ending our day here and decided to get some wine and cheese and sit outside to enjoy the view of Keuka Lake. Let’s just say Bruce and Mary went above the call of duty to let us borrow some of their supplies and then helped us even further when our little outing was called due to a wall of rain coming our way across the lake. Our many thanks! The Celebrate white wine, a blend of Riesling and Vidal Blanc, was excellent.

We absolutely LOVED Keuka Spring Vineyards. We had tasted their wine before at a wine festival, and we specifically came to Keuka Lake on vacation because we enjoyed their wine so much. We were excited to visit their tasting room, and they did not disappoint! Their Chardonnay is fabulous, and the gentleman helping us was friendly and knowledgeable. We purchased several bottles and even enjoyed one while sitting on their patio overlooking the lake. Very relaxing and beautiful. Highly recommend them!

This place and Lamoreaux Landing on Seneca are my favorite in all the finger lakes. Don’t miss Keuka Spring. It’s family-owned, the wines are spectacular and the views are the best. Countless times we’ve bought glasses of wine and just relaxed outside, enjoying the sweeping panoramic scenery and just loving life. The tastings are free, the wines sell themselves. Our favorite reds are the Miller’s Cove Red and the Lemberger. Favorite whites would be the semi dry Reisling and Gewurtztraminer. The staff are so friendly and the events they have 5 – 6 times are year are always well-organized and generous in their offerings. If we have a free afternoon and have had a rough week, we’ll desperately carve out some time out to sneak down to Keuka, get a glass of wine, perch ourselves on adirondack chairs on that green pasture, look out onto the lake, and breathe a sigh of relief. You should too.

I’m not going to really comment so much on the wines considering that taste is entirely subjective but as a Napa County kid I can say that while the reds left a lot to be desired I have not have had better whites, sweets and blushes. I loved Clara’s Red but was disappointed when the pourer couldn’t name the varietal grape hidden within. The pourer had a tendency to spill when he poured and made a couple of unfunny, off-color jokes. He was a bit stressed seeing as how we showed up when they were pretty busy and it showed. The set up was nice seeing as how they set up barrels to display the wines for people to walk through and they’re gift shop had some really cute earrings, including a pair of cork earrings that I purchased.

OK, we’ve been to many wineries and this is one of the best! First of all, it’s beautiful with the most gorgeous view of Keuka Lake. Secondly, they do NOT charge for tasting… they prefer to let their wines sell themselves so do not choose to charge! Thirdly, they are a reasonably priced vineyard! And last of all they have a great selection of wines. What more could you want, other than live music on more weekends!!? Go visit this place!

Spectacular view and beautiful winery. Free complimentary tasting and knowledgable staffs. Wine taste is just fine but not really bringing out«wow» feeling.

Just ok. My husband and I went towards the end of a summer Thursday. It was our first Finger Lakes tasting room and we were not impressed. The wine was fine but view was beautiful. We interacted with two staff members one was knowledgable and one was friendly, the combination of the two would have been lovely. We almost always purchase and left empty handed. Must say we are dry wine drinkers and they may have had more sweeter wines that could have been good. Not much for our tastes.

Of all the wineries we visited on our trip to Keuka Lake, this one stands out in my mind as being the most memorable. The view from the winery is spectacular, even when you are inside tasting samples you are looking out big windows that let you view a large swath of the lake. They’ve got a really nice tasting room, very friendly folks inside, and outstanding wines to boot. My favorite wine from Keuka Spring was Epic, just a beautifully balanced red. They also have a real nice outdoor seating area as well where you can enjoy the view while sipping on a glass of choice wine.
