Had my brakes done next door so while waiting I went to get a cup of coffee. Nothing special got their regular brew, served myself… First out of cream, then no milk, coffee barely enough to fill my cup and it was watery, awful coffee… Oh I went to pay and there was a pastry so I grabbed one, medium coffee and a pastry $ 7.00 … $ 7.00 I’ll never go back even if I’m having work done next door…

Very sad to no longer be able to get coffee here. The coffee pots on the counter are like water and always taste like hot water with cream.

Love taking my boys here and I love the coffee shake with a shot of espresso. They have a lil area with games too which keep the kids occupied for a bit anyways :). Good service & great ice cream.

Friendly folks, excellent coffee and grabbed some great game stocking stuffers at Christmas… and great to be able to support local folks and not drive to the«S» word… even if I am originally from Seattle ;)

I love stopping by here after school with my kids. I grab a yummy coffee and the kids get an ice cream cone. Admittedly I am a die hard Starbucks fan, but the drinks here are better and more reasonably priced, so why not support the locals. They give an amazing discount off you bring your own cup and have a punch card to boot! The icing on the cake is the shelf of games and toys they have for my kids to play with while I place my order in peace. Big kudos to this local store. They do it right!

Ice cream isn’t hand made, but they have my favorite peanut butter flavor. Great place for kids. Small interior, but there are a few tables.

Great coffee and friendly service. Never tried the ice cream but I’m sure it’s great as well. I bought a slice of their carrot cake and it was awesome. Will definitely return next time I’m in penn valley.

A long time customer, it pains me to share how disappointed I was in a recent trip to Caleb’s. My friends and I were buying ice cream for a big group back home(somewhere around 14 scoops) and upon presenting our frequent diner card with four stamps, the owner essentially accused us of falsifying ice cream stamps. Here’s the kicker… there were only 4 stamps on there. So we were basically being accused of trying to «steal» a discount of a few cents. He confiscated the card, explaining that the marks on there didn’t match his initials and that someone(one of us) must have tried to «forge» it. Keep in mind, I’d never actually been helped by him before, so there was no opportunity for me to see his previous«marks». We explained that one of his employees had filled it out on our last trip, when we bought four ice creams, but he wouldn’t listen. Really upsetting and super awkward, especially considering how often my family buys ice cream there.

Jeremy, the owner is a go-getter. The ice cream is great, the environment is positive and engaging(you’ll have to visit to see) and he makes sure his staff are warm and friendly. It’s the way every small business should be.

I think this place is named after their son… or maybe the son’s dog. I forget. But, it is super cute! They mostly just have ice cream, coffee and little treats and such. Baked goods, etc. A small assortment, but always something to nibble on! I remember they had the best madeleines the last time I was in there. Super good! There are always a few other people in there whenever I stop in, which is a good sign! P. S. They have wifi!

The best spot in Penn Valley! The guy who runs the place(Jeremy), is one of the nicest guys you will meet. The ice-cream is good, the shakes are great, and the sundays are the best. They also have a pretty good selection of «Mellisa and Doug» toys(2010)!

Nice local couple running the place. Good ice cream. Yummy treats. Nice atmosphere. Prices like you’d find at any coffee & ice cream shop.
