History

Established in 1982.

Michael’s Salon and Day Spa was opened in 1982 when it was Michael and Lee’s. Over the years it has been through a couple of name changes but has always kept its same owner. In 2004 Michael remodeled the 2,000+ square foot salon into what it is today. Michael’s daughter Michaela joined the staff in 2005 as a hairstylist and is now co-​owner as of 2011.

Michaela attended school in Maine at Pierre’s School of Cosmetology from 2004 – 2005 were she logged her 1500 hours. She frequently takes classes on color and hair cutting techinques as well as men’s cutting classes. She became co-​owner with Michael in 2011.
