Fight Fit Boxing and MMA

I’m a new member to the gym. Every one is super nice & helpful. Marco & Briana were awesome in helping me get setup. The classes are a lot of fun. The trainers are incredibly helpful. I’d super recommend this place, they kick ass.

I recently signed up for a punch card for Fight Fit because I’m moving in a few months and couldn’t commit to a year long membership so I’ll just be restocking on the punch cards until I leave. My first class since they remodeled and went under new ownership was Larry’s 8:30 cardio boxing class. I’ve forgotten how much I’ve loved it. The environment is so much different than an LA Fitness or any other big gym. The trainers are incredible and just pushy enough to make you give your all in every workout. And when there aren’t classes the open gym is more than sufficient, they have all the equipment one needs to complete a great workout with great music and amazing trainers.

I teach Muay Thai kickboxing at a women’s gym in Los Angeles and decided my trip to Miami was the perfect opportunity to hit up a real deal MMA gym and better my technique. I saw that Fight Fit was close to my parents’ home and that it had some really great Unilocal reviews. First off, one of the managers spoke to me on the phone and was very welcoming right off the bat. I decided to try out their 5:30 cardio kickboxing conditioning class. Holy s*#t…it was intense! I’m known as a tough teacher but Flash’s class pushed me to my limit and beyond. I have boundless energy but after what seemed like endless rounds of squat jumps, push ups, froggers and burpees, I was pouring sweat and pretty convinced I was going to die. Mix in rounds of jabs, crosses and other combos and you’ve 60 minutes of conditioning hell/​heaven. Personally, if I’m not completely soaked in sweat after a workout, I don’t think I’ve done enough.
I decided to do some 1 on 1 training sessions with Flash. Sure as I expected, he kicked my butt while pointing out my technique was sorely lacking. I practiced the right way to do roundhouse kicks, crosses and up kicks. Flash knows his stuff and pushes me just the right amount — which is beyond what I think I can do but he knows best. And getting in the ring for some sparring… so fun!
You can tell that the people who work here and work out here are serious about their fitness. They train hard — no ego, no divas.
My only regret is that there is no Fight Fit in LA. At least I know where I’ll be training when I come home for Christmas!

I love this gym! Fight Fit workout is a quaint, no frills workout space located right above Pines Ice Arena. I originally found this gym via a living social deal and decided to become a member as soon as my LS deal ended. They offer group classes as well as individual training and the staff is great to work with. I honestly have no desire to train as a fighter, so the group classes are perfect for my workouts. The gym offers plenty of heavy bags to go around so I’ve never had to share. Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone who’s looking for fun and challenging workouts!

Amazing gym! With amazing staff and trainers! Jackie is great she will really build your strength and endurance and you will have fun doing so. Flash is great as well he will have you do reps you would not believe you could actually do. I still have some trainers to work out with but I have yet to be disappointed. Great environment very family like! You have got to go! The work outs make you excited to go to not dread them :)

This place is great. Everyone is super friendly and the variety of classes and trainers make it fun!

I have to give them a shout out after today’s session. I felt like the private lessons were pricey at first, but the one to ones with FLASH are definitely worth it. Most of all, he’s great with kids and trains my son along with me. He has the ability to make the connection with kids and uses his 13 yr old to assist him. If you go there, set up a some sessions with Flash. You won’t regret it. They get 5 stars!

I went the first time a few years ago for the Sunday bootcamp with a group and let me tell you, this opened new physical activity doors for me. I loved how pushy yet supportive everyone was. The class including indoor and outdoor cardio sessions. Punching bags, floor work, muscle-​bearing-​tire-​flippin fun stuff. After that class I felt like I made up anything I slacked on in the gym for the week. Talk about a heavy hitter. They have membership punch cards and monthly pricing for those who like this combustion of energy consistently. I genuinely like this place and whenever I want to switch up my cardio I bring a whole bunch of the girls along with me, unless I’m challenging the boys on some endurance.
They have other gym machines that you can use and a ring for MMA classes.

Variety and Flexibility. You can come up with a million excuses not to do it, but after you do it you feel like a million bucks. Never sweated so much!

Go Marty!!! Never thought I box till I met Marty! This is what a gym is suppose to be nothing fancy just a great work out experience.

I have a lot of pent up frustration, it’s something of a quiet burden that I carry around from day to day without saying much about it. I never thought much of it before, but after trying a class at South Florida Boxing last night, I think I’ve finally found the cure. I may never be Muhammad Ali, but I felt like a superstar with the amazing instructor and front desk staff. I am certainly not any good at boxing, but it was a lot of fun and the instructor was extremely patient and understanding with me.
I came with a friend to try their first class free deal and my only complaint is that they are all the way in Pembroke Pines. We were offered a deal for six months at $ 99 per month, with one month free. If you are going to work out 3 – 4 times a week with them, this is a great deal. I only wish I could find such an amazing gym closer to Downtown Miami, with the same patient and understanding staff.
I will be back, even if just for single classes (they price them at $ 16 per class plus $ 4 for glove/​wrap rentals). If you plan on boxing on a regular basis, I 100% recommend buying your own gloves/​wraps. Theirs will leave your hands smelling like feet after. Buy 180 inch wraps for each hand and leather gloves — you’ll be good to go much more hygienically.

Great gym — makes you feel like Rocky. They have a few machines and a weight lifting area, but their main focus is Boxing & Kickboxing classes. Half of the gym is dedicated to this with rows of punching bags hanging from the ceiling. Excellent workout!

A new coat of paint and all new equipment are just icing on the cake! SFB Pines has great instructors! Cardio box or kick box on your own heavy bag starting with a good warm up, 40 minutes of intense striking on the bags with conditioning rounds in between striking rounds, finished off with abs. Go see Jose, Jesus, Marty or Eric for a workout you won’t forget and results you will notice quickly! SFB Pines also offers Jujitsu classes with Martin and Tactical Defense classes with Justin to show you how to avoid or get out of a sticky situation. There is also a new cage fitness class and our Amateur Team instructed by Jose is getting better every day. The gym has all new equipment, a cage and a ring and kids classes in a gym that has a friendly staff and members who encourage others to compete as a group. Many will be attending the Spartan Race in Miami as well as the Down & Dirty.
