Prices are reasonable here but the place is kind of a mess. The customer base seem to come from the «hood». There is a young woman working there that brightens up the place a bit… a sassy, translucent skinned, mandolin shaped dame with a Bay Ridge accent… very very sexy !!

Not too expensive. I got a brand new Beretta Tomcat in there for about $ 400. If you have your own headset you should bring it, if not they’ll rent one out to you. You can get practice bullets there as well as hollow points. I like to use both to compare the damage. It used to be very smokey in there, it got better now. I like to go alone, concentrate on a target and just do my thing. You never know when you might have to use your skills.

im a black male and im tired of all u black racist people! i went solo to shoot my assault rifle. i followed every rule & they treated me like royalty. you hood rats are going into a gun store with loaded guns and wonder why they ask you to leave! it has nothing to do with your skin color but more about how u act. im from atlanta ga so ive seen true racism. these guys are running a very dangerous business & going into a gun store with a loaded gun is pretty stupid. i had a great time and most of all i felt safe. the range was empty and the lane worked perfectly. one of the employees (brandon) even helped me when my gun jammed. he also attempted to adjust my laser but wasnt successful and showed me how to do it at home. ill be back soon!

I’ve been coming to Big Al’s for years now. The staff knows their stuff and are quick to get us on the firing line. Nice selection of handguns and pretty good price to shoot as much as you want. I will say that it’s not the nicest range I’ve been to, but it works and is usually the first place I think of when it’s time to get some practice at the range.

So, my husband and I went to Big Al’s in Hallandale to purchase a gun. I finally got my CCW and wanted to have my own gun so I don’t have to rent one at a gun range anymore. This was our first visit to this particular shop and I was beyond excited. While looking for a gun, my husband explained to some bald, toothless guy wearing a tartan shirt with old mud stains and a piece of straw hanging out of his mouth that we were both looking for a gun. The man then turned to me and asked «Are you buying a gun or is he buying a gun?» to which I responded, «I am buying a gun.» Do you know what that bald, toothless, putrid smelling hick said after that? He told my husband and I «The two of you need to get the f*** out of this shop right now.» I was stunned and at a loss for words, my husband’s jaw dropped. I calmly asked the man to repeat himself just to be sure I heard right… and do you know that he did? I promptly asked to speak with a manager– some chicken head who looks like she belongs on an episode of My 600 Pound Life, named Denise. The old toothless guy insinuated that I was trying to buy a gun for my «boyfriend» in my name. I laughed whole heartedly and explained to those country bumpkins that first and foremost, we don’t do things the way they do it in the trailer park– you know, have a baby and consider the child a wedding ring– he’s my lawfully wedded husband and no matter who buys it, that gun is coming home to the same house and that I had no reason to have to buy a gun in my name for my husband who has his own gun and CCW already. I thought English was that retards first language, so the only reason I could see for him so poorly misconstruing what my husband and I said was the fact that a «colored girl» and «La-​teen-​ohh boy» (because, let’s be real, that’s how they pronounce it) «couldn’t be up to any good trying to buy one of them there guns.» And while they vehemently denied that and offered to have a different salesman with a bald head and peculiar symbols that I may have seen in a WWII textbook before tattooed above his eyebrow, I just couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable surrounded by people of this character and guns. So I declined, lest my husband and I mysteriously end up strung from a tree. You can take this review how you want to, but I, for one, and my husband, for damn sure, will stick to businesses that are a little more colorblind.

Some of the guys are nice but seriously some of them need to watch their attitude. They care about the wrong things I. e letting you know if your background came back over the phone. But not if someone has proper firearm training. After I buy my gun I will not go back.

Best and Cheapest range in South Florida. Great staff, great prices.

I love this range. They don’t have someone hovering over your shoulder like you’re a small child like Markham park. Cheap to shoot and they have a decent amount of ammo there to buy as well. Selection of guns to buy is a little limited due to the size of the place but the ppl are nice and you’ll have a good time. Forgot one thing. No rifles above a 22lr.

I went here with my girlfriend and it was our first time shooting. Although we had a few questions because we were nervous about shooting for the first time, the employee acted as if we are wasting his time and just answered as fast as possible so we would just go to the range. We weren’t at the range long because we felt we weren’t knowledgeable enough to be shooting. Also, all of their guns are always overpriced. I personally don’t think customers should be treated this way but the range price is very cheap. I have never went back and definitely never will.

The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The price for the range use is $ 7.50 with no time limit-​cheapest around! They have fair prices on ammo and targets. Eye wear rental is cheap. Gun rental is $ 15.00.
Gun shop prices for weapons are about average.
RANGE: Know your sh*t! …as there is no live range officer on duty. They use a video surveillance system.
Everyone I encountered so far in the range I found to be polite and they handled their weapons in a responsible manner. Just like anywhere else you go, some people won’t behave properly and I expect at some point I’ll witness some crazy wielder there.
Watch your step as many shooters leave with their casings all over the floor. Sweep them up yourself.
Range needs some TLC in maintenance but it’s totally functional and air conditioned. A little on the warm side though. The holes around the booth parts are a little scary to see LOL.

The only range where staff n so called safety officers don’t breathe down your back, cheapest price around and nice, def recommend

Best place to shoot in Miami. Everyone who works here is helpful with a lot of knowledge. Ask for mark he knows his shit.

BEWARE OF BALD TRASH FRED!!!
Well We want to share our experience today. After first reading a few reviews, but didn’t see Mike B’s. review. If we did we probably would never go in first place, but we did and what a horrible experience for us. WE ARE NEVER GOING BACK!!! The cute mix dog in the shop was more friendly than bald white trash Fred who seems run the show there. He shouldn’t work with People at all! So from the beginning they have some very stupid signs with gun rules before even entering their place. We have gone to 5 different ranges, and we never had these rules. Immediately after entering the place, Bald Fred immediately questioned us about our gun. We have never had any experience like that before. NO HELLO OR GREETING. The first thing he asked was if the gun was loaded, and I said yes, but the safety was on. He sent me outside the store to unload the gun. After I came back, it was still not enough and he started to loose his face. He asked if we were able to read and to look at the signs outside. I would also have to take the one bullet out of the chamber. His voice began to sound more irritated as he spoke to us. So I got out to the car to take the magazine out as well as bullet from the chamber. So now it’s not loaded at all but still not good enough for Fred. He started to loose it more and exclaimed that we also had to unload the bullets from the magazines. I mean his voice became more sarcastic and he started talking profanity including «Fuck» etc and other nice words! Hello?!? Hard to believe he would talk like that to a customer. My wife said «that customer service is not your specialty right» so bald Fred goes «We care for safety here blah blah blah and F… you, get out of my shop» It was our first time to come shoot at this range and I’m would be loading the rounds into magazines anyway. But he couldn’t explain with a little patience why I needed to unload them. Instead he just barked «Get out of here, U are breaking the law, u cant shoot here, get out». If he had asked all of this politely, I would not have any problem doing everything he requested. I’ve seen 5 year olds with more patience than him. So we left with only thoughts that these guys should muzzled because he’s got a Serious Anger problem, EVEN SCARIER IS THAT HE’S ARMED AND NOT WEARING MUZZLE, WHO KNOWS IF HIS FORGET HIS PILL!
AVOID THE BALD GUY. HE IS MEAN AND MENTALLY UNSTABLE!!! WE WILL AVOID THIS PLACE IN THE FUTURE AND TELL ALL OUR FRIENDS NOT TO GO THERE, IT’S CHEAP YEA, BUT WE WOULD RATHER PAY MORE AND FEEL GOOD INSTEAD OF BEING INSULTED AND DISRESPECTED BY A LOW LIFE RED NECK FREEED!!!
We both have college educations and we feel sorry for this trashy bald guy because he has NO Education and NO Communication skills! He is obviously a very sick man and in no condition to be working with other people. Their business would be more successful if FRED switched jobs with the guard dog BUT ONLY NIGHT SHIFTS THOUGHT.

The guys at this range are extremely helpful! I had issues with a gun I didn’t even buy from them and they got it working and tested it out for me. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Simple little place not very fancy but cheap and to the point. They also have a very sweet doggy that walks around the store =). I will definitely be going back there.

First time EVER at a gun range so dont have anything to compare it to.
The price can be alot for ears, target paper, a pack of bullets and entry it was $ 30.00 not including the gun rental.
But was great experience overall

I’ve been here a few times to use their range and I’ll still continue to come back.
–Price: Big Al’s is one of the better priced ranges I’ve seen here in SoFla. Range fees are under 10 bux, targets are 1 – 2 bux and ammo isn’t overpriced.
–Expertise: I personally have Sig’s and they have a guy there that’s pretty well versed in Sig’s. When when my take-​down lever failed, he was more than happy to give it a once over with me and make sure there wasn’t any additional damage.
–Facilities: I’ll admit, its not the nicest range i’ve ever been to. The lighting in the range isn’t amazing and some of the target trollies could use some attention so they could work better. They do however have good ventilation and keep the range swept from casings.
I’m gonna hook these guys up with the 4 stars since their local to me, cheaper than their competitor in Pembroke pines and fairly nice people to deal with :)

Big al’s gun store rocks! Never been here before but right from the start the staff were pleasant and friendly, there was a member of staff in the range upstairs to answer any questions and give you some help if needed, went mid week so didn’t have to wait at all and two guns with 250 rounds, $ 100 bucks! Awesome!!!
Would recommend anyone interested to give this a go…

I’ve been wanting to go shooting for some time now and a friend of mine found this place. It’s a awesome place and the staff are friendly and helpful. They were somewhat busy when we arrived. We signed the paperwork and got our guns. Today was my 1^st time shooting and I was anxious yet scared. But everything was easy to find and use. Thank goodness my friend is a seasoned shooter and helped a lot. The rices are reasonable. Check this place out if you are in the area, or looking for a gun range
