Pembroke Gun & Range

Great staff made this adventure a delight. I’m a novice shooter and the staff was patient and instructive. I tried several pistols until I found a comfortable fit.
The total cost was $ 95. to shoot 2 boxes, or 100 rounds.
Definitely recommended.

I visit Pembroke Gun & Range usually twice per week. I have always been greeted nicely and offered advice as well as help from the staff when needed with broken equipment and/​or parts.
The staff is well versed on all types of firearms and if they don’t have it, they are willing to order it for you.
I have been super surprised how pleasent the staff has been even when turning customers away because of them coming impaired.
Great place and looking forward to many more years of shooting there.

An overall 5-​star experience across the board. These guys know what they’re doing — they’re super helpful and accommodating and made us feel comfortable. The only indoor range I’ll go to from now on!

The range gets crowded but the staff was great especially Patrick, Will definitely go back.

Where I usually go to shoot… Pretty straight forward here. Walk in, give your I. D and tell them what you need to take care of business, and go shoot. I think this is perfect for the experienced shooter but I can see how a novice would find this a bit uncomfortable. But the guys are ready and willing to answer any questions you may have and ofcourse they love to talk about guns.

What a ghetto shooting range with what feels like paper thin walls. The nonexistent customer service from the cocky too-​cool-​for-​school chumps isn’t good for business.
To whomever owns this range: You need to have a sit down staff meeting with everyone and see what their deal is. Today you missed out on a customer looking to purchase an AR style gun– not to mention residual gun range business.

I used my Groupon over there earlier today and my experience was great. The staff was very knowledgeable and professional as well as friendly. I will be back.

I had a fun time at Pembroke gun range. It was my first time ever going shooting I went with a friend who had already been shooting before so she helps me through things we got there in a staff welcomed us they were friendly, then they gave us everything that we needed the headphones the glasses the gun and the 50 rounds of ammunition. I had gotten a Groupon which is why I chose Pembroke but I’m glad I did it was a good experience and I definitely will be back.

The only range in South Broward I will shoot at. Professional staff, supervised closely but yet your not feeling like Bigbrother is watching you. They are AR15 experts and can build you any kind you want ! Cannot say enough nice things about the Mgr Jason who truly has s passion for firearms and the industry.

Don’t go here, terrible customer service! I went here with the idea that I might make a firearm purchase and thank god I didn’t! I did not feel welcome or like I was being treated well at all, the staff was extremely rude and also inattentive when I had questions to ask. I have never experienced customer service this lousy! Another thing that turned me off from this place was the range. Not very well kept at all, ZERO ventilation and also very hot inside the range area. It also appeared that safety was of no concern, because there were no range officers present and there were people shooting there who clearly had never been before. Bottom line, don’t give these people the time of day. There are much better options out there!

I started shooting 30 years ago and have frequented many ranges in multiple states and have never experienced the treatment I received at Pembroke Gun & Range. As a woman typically I am not treated with the same respect as my male counterparts; however, that was not the case here. I scheduled my «G» license recertification with Eddy Ojeda from Pro-​Tek at Pembroke Gun & Range and ended up almost an hour early. I initially intended on renting and purchasing a Ruger LC9s, I was not shopping I was set on buying this gun… or so I thought. Tim and the other employees were friendly and persuasive about showing me other options and extremely knowledgeable of the pros and cons of each. By the time they were done and the class was over I had a new understanding of my options including paying $ 20 to rent said options to make an informed choice thanks to them. (I ended up shooting a perfect score-​240). The range is clean, employees helpful and friendly, prices reasonable… I highly recommend to everyone-​experienced or novice.

Went last night to try for the first time with my wife and daughters. It was excellent except that my wife was shooting better than I was!
I am terrible with names, but the guy working last night was very informative and patient with us. He taught us what us amateurs needed to know to get started at a gun range. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about a gun purchase to try the shooting range first, plus lots of fun with the family.

This review is from the perspective of this gun novice…
I’ve never shot a gun before. Haven’t had an interest in doing so either. But a friend wanted to & came across a coupon on one of those deal sites so 4 of us got together and decided to try it out on an early Sunday afternoon (2pm).
Out of 4 of us, 3 of us got lost trying to find the place even with gps directions. It’s in the middle of a couple rows of warehouses, so keep that in mind. There is a small «gun range» sign attached to the building.
Being novices, it was a bit unsettling to be able to clearly hear multiple gunshots from the parking lot. Nevertheless, we pressed on inside. The «lobby» is very similar to a paintball place, with weapons, ammo & gear on display. Except… these are real guns and bullets. Scurreh!
Check-​in was quick. The day and time worked in our favor. It wasn’t too busy with people coming in and out but there was indeed a small crowd, as we would later see. Like another reviewer mentioned, there was no attitude about using a coupon whatsover, which was refreshing. Who wants to feel awkward in a gun spot? Not me! After signing waivers and getting gear, Rick (nicest guy) gave us a quick but VERY thorough safety and use tutorial on the gun we’d be shooting with (think it was a 9mm — can’t remember). He let each of the 4 of us practice loading the clip, aiming, etc. Answered alllll of our questions, didn’t rush us at all. That made me feel very comfortable for an experience that was going to be so nerve-​wracking. After the tutorial, we were directed to enter the range.
The range was bigger than I imagined. There are 18 lanes, although a few were out of service. While it didn’t feel overcrowded, there were quite a few folks in there. Some lanes had 3 and 4 people on one lane, with the majority seeming to be regulars.
We were 2 each on our lanes & I think that’s more than enough considering shell casings fly all over the place. The lanes were suitable for 1 at a time, roomy enough & sufficiently blocked out ppl in the next lanes. (Keep those earmuffs & goggles on, folks!) Anytime we had an issue with our guns, the staff was very responsive.
We weren’t there more than 45 minutes, but it didn’t appear that there are any time limits on use of the lanes. I guess you go until you run out of ammo.
All in all, I had a very educational experience at this gun range. I’d never shot a gun before but Rick’s simple advice helped me hit my targets very nicely. Will I be coming here again anytime soon? Ummmm… nothing against this place but shooting guns just ain’t my thing.
But if shooting guns *is* your thing, although I fan’t comment on price, I’d highly recommend this range. The staff is pleasant and professional, the facilities are comfortable (shooting works up a sweat so the cool a/​c is welcomed) (it doesn’t feel like a warehouse inside at all), & it feels like a safe environment (considering everybody’s walking around with a gun in their hand).

I’ve been here twice already and have no complaints. Though its true I don’t have anything to compare it to, this place rocks! The staff is friendly and will explain everything, the prices are reasonable ($ 13 range fee, $ 20 gun and ammo rental, $ 1 ear/​eye protective gear, and $ 1 targets), and they have ladies night on Fridays after 6pm! I suggest this place for beginners and non beginners as well. Its a great place to blow off some steam and have fun!

I used a groupon to go here and I had a blast. The people working behind the counter were very attentive and didn’t treat us differently for using a groupon. They took their time to explain the different guns to us as well as the proper technique to handle and shoot the guns. This was my very first time ever operating a gun and their instruction was very easy. Once I got to the range it was such an exciting experience that I ended up buying an extra box of bullets to do another round. I think I found a new hobby!

Been coming to this range for a while now. It is not the best range but it works for me. Shooting can get pricey here so keep that in mind. I believe it is $ 12 per person to use the range. Everyone might as well shoot because you will be charged to enter the lanes. No watching. If you don’t have a firearm they have plenty to rent along with ear and eye protection. Not sure how much the rental equipment is. I would imagine everything would run in the $ 50 to $ 65 range for two. The staff here will be happy to assist anyone who needs help. Please remember that firearms are all about safety. There are no dumb questions.

Only Buckshot– no slugs or birdshot. You can bring a pistol grip shotgun. The arm rest has the ability to fold up. If you bring a rifle make sure you bring frangible ammo. Don’t want to be putting holes through the metal backstop with FMJs. The frangible ammo is available at a reasonable price. They also have ammo for nearly every gun on the market. You can double tap as much as want. Tip for shooters: instead of buying extra targets or stickers, get yourself a pack of bright colored post-​it notes and your good to go.

This place has turned around completely. Owner seems to have really refocused his staff on customers. I have been back here 8 times since January, the owner contacted me about my review and it deserves an update.

I liked this place… but two reasons why I give it four stars:
1. Location. While it looks really cool on the inside, the outside is kind of disheartening. It is located among warehouses and the only advertisement they have on the street is a rinky dink sign in the middle of a back road. Everytime I used to see it I would think «Gun range down there? More like rape alley down there.»
2. Staff. Though the people were pretty knowledgeable and well-​mannered there is one thing I can’t stand in an establishment: When the staff acts as if the store is empty. What I mean is while everyone is standing there awkwardly waiting to go into the range all of the staff is talking up a storm and cracking loud jokes with each other. Call me old-​fashioned, but I don’t think that shows great customer service.
