Came here because of the Unilocal reviews about the burgers. It did not disappoint. I had the westerner burger and would recommend coming with an appetite because it is hard to stop eating it– even after your full. Try the homemade sweet potato chips, they were very good(also any too many). Sorry I cannot comment on dessert but I had no room left.

Friendly staff, great burgers. Not so inviting environment. The menu and burgers are super interesting and I wish I could’ve eaten more than one… Hehe. I didn’t like the fact that there were smokers at entrance at the bar. The smell totally ruined my appetite for dinner and not to mention they were super loud and obnoxious.

First time eating here and my wife and I were beyond impressed. The dry rub wings were out of this world and the Frito Bandito Burger was like nothing I’ve ever had. Probably one of the best burgers in all of Westchester. Menu is extensive, staff is beyond friendly and don’t be fooled by the small looks, the place is big on love. The desserts look out of this world and the kids menu is perfect for our 10, 6 and 2 year old.

Another case of don’t judge a book by its cover. We went because I won a gift certificate at a raffle. This nondescript bar/restaurant was quite a surprise. We had a delicious meal here and I admit I was surprised by the quality, presentation and deliciousness. My chicken fajita was done right, salsa was good and it came with a salad. A lovely bed of greens with red pickled onions and yellow tomatoes. I had my doubts about the onions but they were delicious and the salad looked like a page from a food magazine. My husband had the Western Burger, a nicely presented very generous portion and delicious. The side of homemade sweet potatoes chips was perfect and we ate them like candy. While the beer selection isn’t huge but there is something for everyone and enough choice to make things interesting. Our waitress was charming and very knowledgable about the menu. We look forward to going back.

God awful. Greasy nasty food. I mean it’s a stinky hole in the wall bar, so what else can you expect. The bar is really poorly stocked as well.

Such a great experience last night. The owner was our waitress, which I love. You can tell she takes pride in her establishment. Food: We ordered a crazy burger with spam in it(husband finished it in less than a minute so I’m assuming it was good) and the French dip. The buns were so delicious and the au jous was delicious and not too salty. The roast beef was tender and moist. We weren’t sure what to get our 1 year old but our waitress came up with the idea of making him some creamed corn and mashed potatoes. She brought it out on a paper plate for him and encouraged him to make a mess(which we didnt allow.) She also refused to charge us our son’s food. Drinks: They had a wide selection of bottle beers that husband chose from and I had a cosmo. Both were awesome. Service: Perfect. We can’t wait to go back.

Went here on a whim and overwhelming desire to not do dishes for a night, and couldn’t be happier. The server(I think also the owner) was possibly the nicest waitress I’ve ever met. Her happiness was contagious and it really did make you feel like family. We had a baby and she had the kitchen put together a plate of food that he could eat and then she didn’t even charge us for it. For food — it’s some serious homey comfort food. The burger menu is out of control with insane mouth-watering burger concoctions. I had the macho aloha burger because it had Spam on top and I love Spam. The table next to us had chicken potpie, and I’ll be going back for that soon. I asked for the burger to be cooked medium and it came out medium well. This should cost a star on the rating, but everything else about the food was great and the customer service was killer.

Went in on Saturday night couldnt get a spot in front but the place was pretty empty. The layout of the restaurant was awkward. The place is old and dusty. Ordered Portobello burger with sweet potato chips. The mushroom burger was good but it got lost in the bun. The bun was cold and so were the chips. The waitress was nice but I won’t be coming back. Better places out there.

Stopped by the Branding Iron with my boyfriend and my father for a post-Step 1 celebratory meal before the boyfriend and I started on an epic Westchester craft beer journey on our way back to the city. The plan was to layer our bellies with burgers in preparation for the beer. I had the«branding burger,» a cheeseburger to which I added bacon. It came with a side of fries($ 11.95). It was a decent burger and very filling. My boyfriend got the«kitchen sink» which has a little bit of everything as its name implies: bacon, chili, mushrooms, onions, jalapenos, swiss, cheddar, mozzarella, mayo, mustard, and guacamole, served with fries and onion rings($ 14.95). The burger itself was piled high and a monster to eat. I had a taste and thought it tasted like a lot, and was a little overwhelmed by the jalapenos. He had asked for no onions on the burger, which they interpreted as meaning no onion rings on the side as well. When we asked where his onion rings were, we were brought a complimentary side of onion rings, which made up for it, but it was still annoying. I don’t remember what my father ordered but he was happy with whatever it was. We were one of two sets of customers in the place, but the service was still very slow.

Small hole in the wall with limited parking, this bar and grill specializes in burgers. Good burgers. I ordered the Cajun Burger. It came out big, hot and fresh. Juicy as well. Although it was not that spicy as advertised, it was a great eat. Lot of food. Did not Finnish the curly fries. Bartender was very nice and quick. It is a local place. Everyone knew each other. I felt a bit out if place but never unwelcome. I would recommend.

A co-worker and I stopped in here after a long drive from Maine, and we were treated like locals. The beer was fresh and cold. We both ordered burgers and they were fantastic. Im not kidding. Go here for a burger. they know what they are doing. And i know food. The staff was super friendly, the price was right, and the owner Tana treated us like family. 2 big TVs for whatever game you want to watch. When im in Peekskill. im going back to the Branding Iron. Good, unpretentious local pub. Thanks Tana

My go-to place when I’m in Peekskill. I have enjoyed lunch & dinner here, and even held a company event once. Each time was stellar. Never a bad service day, fast, well prepared food that tastes awesome, and GREAT prices. Try the BLT. Texas toast instead of regular bread. True proof of the existence of a benevolent God. Staff is always friendly, on point, and attentive.

I got the giant burger with everything on it and it was awesome. As much an experience as a meal. All of the toppings tasted pretty fresh and while the burger didn’t come together that well there was just so much going on, it was easy to make a delicious burger and pull out some of the toppings I didn’t want. I also liked the fries and onion rings, both were pretty good. The service wasn’t that great, especially considering we were the only ones eating at that time, but the lady did tell us about a deal they were running to get a free lunch, so that made up for the service and the prices being a bit higher than I’d like. I would go back if ever in the area.

I’ve been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed. Definitely try swapping sweet potato fries for the regular, they are delicious. This is a place for burger fans although they have salads and other things. And the wings are pretty good too.

Somewhat predictable gourmet burger joint. Their specialty is burgers, but there are other things on the menu. I tried the Hawaiian burger that came with a grilled slice of pineapple. The burger was good, there was a generous portion of fries on the side. Service was good, there were plenty of tables and a large party in a private room off the restaurant area.

It’s a hit and miss here! The portabella mushroom«burger» is awesome! I tried the french dip 2x, and once it was SALTY and another time it was amazing. I tried the Fish and chips 2x and once it was DISGUSTING and another it was amazing. I tried the burger here and it was the best I ever had! It really is a hit and miss here, some days are better than the other. Plus — all the old creepy men are there at the bar waiting to hit on you, eeewww. FYI — BESTBURGERS though!

Been wanting to check this place out since some friends said the burgers were massive and delicious and also my family and I all love a good medium rare, so we stopped in last night. I should have known to keep driving bc the door was open = no AC on. Total bummer since it was getting humid out and the ceiling fans were not doing much. Whatever, we decided to stay. It was us and one other table inside, spare a few ppl at the bar. Ok, I’ll still give it a shot. Took 10 mins for someone to get to us but our waitress was very warm and bubbly. Sister and I had beers, nan and aunt, waters. Nan didnt like the taste of the water(hint of hose) so she ordered a diet pepsi/coke. Well that was even worse. It wasn’t even RC Cola, it was like knock off dollar store brand and tasted like acidic sweetarts. Sorry nan :( We ordered a reg branding iron burger, chicken caesar burger, burger w swiss and kitchen sink. Wasn’t too long and we had our eats. The kitchen sink was literally everything piled on from chili, cheese, jalapenos, bacon. but wait, wheres the guac? That is literally why I wanted this burger but of course theres not a chunk of avocado to be found. Later that night i took a bite of my sisters chicken burger once we got home and it was like eating cardboard with caesar dressing. oh no. My family were trying to enjoy their burgers but I think it really just missed the mark with all of us. I’m really disappointed yo bc this place seems like a hidden jem, alas it’s not to me. I felt like a turd that I brought my family and they were acting like it was good and an experience. but I could see far from liking it. Damnit Branding Iron!

This place has been on my list of places to go for awhile and when the group’s first choice for a burger was packed and no parking in sight, I suggested TBI. They have live music often but the fact we were there way before the band started meant there was plenty of street parking available. Burgers were the reason we went out and burgers were ordered, well 4 out of 5 of us had burgers. I’m including the«portobello burger» but it’s on the burger menu so I’ll let it slide. Shared apps include fried pickles(why would you fry a pickle… take a food item with enough sodium to scare my cardiologist and deep fry it to give my cholesterol an unneeded ride to the moon) and a bloomed onion(yeah, let’s order some more fried foods!). The onion had some heat to it, so that was an unexpected pleasure. The pickles, not my thing but the other folks attacked them like they were going to the electric chair. I had The Westerner. They carefully stack the 2 onion rings on top of the bacon and burger, so when they wheel this thing out to the table, it looks like it’s a foot tall. I took the onion rings off and made it manageable. All the burgers come with what appears to be a custom made bun, onto which they brand the restaurants logo. A great touch and a great bun! A really good burger that may have been a touch overcooked. Our server was not a regular waitress there. She said she was helping out and was unfamiliar with the menu. This only came to light when a member of the party asked for honey mustard. She says sure, finishes taking our order and leaves for the kitchen. She returns a minute later and apologizes but they don’t have honey mustard. Oh well! Other than that, the service was prompt and courteous. Bottom line: don’t be fooled by the appearance from the outside or the fact that you enter through the bar and EVERYONE turns to look at you. The dining room is clean and quiet… until the band starts.
