First Class Paws and Claws Grooming

first time taking my miniature schnauzer to a groomer since I brought him to Oahu on 23JAN16. Hoku did a great job with Magic. since it was our first time, as the breeder groomed him previously, Hoku suggested various schnauzer styles, and recommended the type of cut for his body, beard, legs, etc. After 1−½ hours Magic was transformed, and no longer looked like a raggedy puppy. thank you Hoku. Magic definitely looks handsome and confident.

We recently got our dogs out of quarantine and wanted to make sure he could get a bath and trimming. Was thinking about Petsmart or something but didn’t have a lot of good reviews. I found this place with a lot of positive reviews and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Staff was very friendly and took care of my dog. Received a call about an hour after dropping him off to pick him up. I will be coming back. Great Service.

Took my CC (silky terrier) here today. They were very nice and understanding when I was late due to traffic. CC looked precious when I picked her up. She was also happy. The price was very reasonable. I will be coming back and bringing my papillion for a bath too.

Took my Chloe here today!
It was my first time ever taking her to a groomers. My moms away in the mainland and Chloe was in NEED of a trim her nails were getting crazy long!
I discovered this place based off of Unilocal and decided to come because of the great reviews! I was initially going to go to yuppie puppie in salt lake because I was in the area BUT when I tried calling them they didn’t answer (and it was regular business hours I tried calling early in the morning too around 9, and once again around 10 but no answer), I read a few reviews how they don’t return calls there either so I didn’t bother wasting any time (oh well) so yay for this place! I called and was greeted and automatically felt so welcomed to bring in Chloe this afternoon so decided to take her here, it’s closer to home anyway!
When I walked in, I felt very safe and welcomed leaving Chloe there (for only half an hour) to get a bath, nails cut & filed, anal glands, and teeth brushed! I read some horror stories about groomers but I felt 100% positive about this place. The customer service is just awesome! My bf & I decided to get a snack at the café in the area, and before our food was even ready, Chloe was done and ready to be picked up! So quick!
When I got back Chloe was very happy wagging her tail, I can tell she was very happy to be clean and pampered FINALLY! Super reasonably priced and quality work done here! I highly suggest it and will be back the next time Chloe needs a nail trim :)

I’m glad I trusted the reviews and called here. she able to get us an appointment quickly which is awesome. My dog had a terrible haircut from me trying to do it myself and she worked magic to make it even and cleaned up. I told her how I like to her cut and she did it perfectly exceeding my expectations on the paws and ears! I am super happy with my dogs cut and I will definitely make future visits for the rest of our time on island. Also, my dog was done within an hour and 15 minutes which is awesome especially if you have to travel to bring your pet there. Thank you for great service!

I took my puppy Duchess here to get her first haircut. Duchess was a bit nervous at first, but Hoku took really good care of her. She looks amazing! She was happy and wagging her tail when I came to pick her up. Hoku did a wonderful job! The price was reasonable and I really enjoyed the service. I’m definitely going to go back!

Ok! Meant to post another review after Ceasar was groomed in Dec! Another awesome grooming by Hoku! Plus he likes to go, so you know they love dogs! We will be back, she does a great job!

Hard to find cat groomers. Service here is fast! Previous groomers I’ve used took 3 – 4 hours, this groomer took an hour. Location very convenient for me. Live in Salt Lake and used to have drive to either Waipio or Aina Haina. Will definitely use this groomer again.

So first off… This place is located in an area I don’t frequent. On the outset the business area is well kept, yet small/​cozy. But my fur baby, Tonks, and I were welcomed with a friendly face and smile by the owner of this small business.
She does great work! Quick and efficient; honestly? A lot better than what I’d paid for in those other high commercial pet salons. Of which they will not be named. Sorta like Voldemort.
I asked for short hair and I got what I asked for. Big time kudos for that. I’m bringing my boy back here. Definitely.

Hoku groomed both my dogs in less than 90 minutes. Super fast! She is so friendly, and so sweet to both my dogs. Prices were very reasonable. I am so happy I found someone that I can trust with my furbabies that does an amazing job! My dogs will be going back regularly!

Hoku does a really great job on my dog Winston. I recommend her to everyone who needs a great dog groomer. Her prices are very good also.

Just wonderful! My dog is my child and we’re new to town. I immediately felt comfortable leaving my pup for the day while I was at work. And her cut was perfect! We’ve had some bad cuts in the past but this one looks great and is exactly what we asked for! We will definitely be back!

I took my cat in today for the first time and I will definitely be back. I called and she was able to make a same day appointment which was very convenient. We showed up and the office was very clean and organized. My cat has long hair so he needed a full shave and that is exactly what I got. She sent me a photo to make sure that his cut was what I wanted before I picked him up which was above and beyond what I expected. Overall the owner was very friendly and knew what she was doing. We even got a goody bag for Christmas. The price was only $ 70 for a bath and cut which is half of what Petco charges. I would definitely recommend first class paws and claws.

First time taking our border collie to the groomer, he was so nervous but they did an excellent job at calming him. They cut his hair just the way I wanted it. I am very pleased and will definitely be returning! Thank you!

1^st timer… Just picked up the ‘kids’!!! HOKU is AMAZING! Super friendly, clean, affordable, both of them done in 2 hours! We will look no further — our kids are in! First class experience all the way round!

Took our baby girl to First Class Paws and Claws and love what our Giuliana looks like after Hoku cut her hair! Hoku is very nice, personable and knows a lot about mini schnauzers! I can’t wait to return to have more fun with different cuts for our Giuliana. Thanks Hoku for the great experience!

Hoku and her team took great care of my babies. She is very sweet, friendly and professional. Texted me to let me know how they were doing. Same day booking and not difficult at all. Also very reasonably priced. My babies came out smelling great, very relaxed and soo cute.

Hoku is THE BEST!!! I’ve tried other groomers but none compared to the work that Hoku does. She truly cares about your fur baby.

Love love love First Class Paws & Claws! Hoku and Cheyenne are awesome! I used to see them at Petco, but am so glad they have their own place now. Prices are reasonable and your pups are in loving and caring hands. Hoku is wonderful and is very informative when it comes to questions about your pups. I have a little Yorkie and a Tibetan Spaniel who love coming here. This is the only place where I know I won’t be disappointed. Thanks Hoku and Cheyenne for your awesome and quick service!

They did such a great job with everything. The haircuts were so cute, and my two yorkies nails were trimmed and filed perfectly. I will definitely be a repeat customer! They were also done in a timely manner, which was a first for me. Got a call in about 2 hours that they were ready for pick up. The salon is very cute and clean. I could tell they really care about doing a good job. Happy to have found such quality dog grooming near me! They also offer ala carte services like nail trimming, teeth brushing, etc… which is such a godsend in today’s economy. Best thing of all, they are affordable. Prices are very fair.

Having to get my high maintenance fur-​bestie groomed every other month is no easy task. Luckily, Hoku does a phenomenal job!
I took my fur-​love to her because he was so scruffy and hot (he’s a shihtzu), and I figured he’d appreciate a new do during this hot hot summer heat.
I dropped him off, and he was finished in an hour! So fast! Hoku was thorough in asking me questions on what type of cut to give him and how short, etc. I really appreciated her thoroughness and happiness in taking him :) and the price was VERY reasonable compared to what I usually pay to get him groomed

Took my puppy for grooming for the first time. Hoku did an awesome job on our little Walnut (maltipoo).She made sure that Walnut had a good experience for his first visit. She even txt us to update if we like the haircut she did for our puppy. She is really friendly and easy to talk to. I’d highly recommend them.
