Nice people. Ok cut. WAAAAY OVERPRICED. Have a medium sized dog and they charged me $ 180. Never again

They came & took great care of my babies!!! And my babies loved them. The only down side was the wait time for them to show up. I know I was given a 4 hour span, and they showed up at the very end of that time I was hoping for a bit earlier arrival. Still, I am happy with the services, the discount for re-​occurring appointments & how they cared about my fur babies!

I can’t give this company high enough reviews! I had a great groomer on the mainland and was really worried when we moved that I wouldn’t find someone that would love and care for my Kloé the same way. Busy Scissors has exceeded my expectations! They have made last minute concessions for me and done everything they could to keep my fur baby happy and healthy. My baby smells great for weeks after her grooming, and they make sure I am fully satisfied with her look before they call it done. It’s great that they come to you, but the service and care they put into the groom will keep you coming back! Thank you Busy Scissors, Kloé is looking forward to her next bath!

AMAZING!!! I’m new to the island, military move. Our pet has to go through animal quarantine, and the facility couldn’t recommend any groomers who would make the trip there to bathe and groom my puppy. After calling quite a few groomers, thankfully, I stumbled upon Busy Scissors Mobile Pet Spa online! The owner Whitney was able to accommodate my request, as she and Nick travelled to the quarantine facility before. Of course, my dog couldn’t leave the place to be tended to in their hooked up van, but they did such an OMG excellent job pampering my pet under not so standard conditions at the quarantine. My poor pup was dirty, all matted up, and pretty hyped to have extra visitors. Nick gave her a soothing warm bath and shined her coat back to its white color, and groomed her PERFECTLY along with Whitney. It was raining and windy on and off, so my expectations for a good groom weren’t very high. However, they totally went above and beyond! Nick was so sweet to my dog, SO patient and understanding when she was super jumpy. He has a kind calming voice that helped her to relax lol. Also, because my dog’s fur gets matted we’ve had to shave her down a couple times, but Nick was patiently, gently, incredibly able to get all her matts out. No shave needed. I really can’t say enough awesome things about this company. I am not surprised they get fully booked weeks in advance. It’s very convenient having them come to you! And I can’t wait to have my dog under their loving care when we move into our new home here. Thank you guys for accommodating such a complicated but pleasant experience. You’re the BEST!

This service is as good as it gets! I have beautiful himalayan siamese 2 years old cat Lui who needed help. My finger was broken and I couldn’t brush him properly. As a result I’ve decided to give Lui a lion haircut. There are not many groomers who service cats especially the ones who have excellent reviews. I researched most of them and went with wonderful people from Busy Scissors. They exceeded my expectations. Communications were easy and efficient — phone calls, texts, e-​mails — everything came through from the first try, no misunderstandings or problems. I was worry about EVERYTHING: that my kitty is not going to allow strangers to touch him, that he is going to hate us for the rest of his life, that groomers would refuse the haircut due to severe matting, and anything else under the Sun… I drove my adult son absolutely crazy — he recommended strong medication for me, and said that these people are professionals and know what they are doing. It was reasonable, but the ‘other’ part of my brain continued to be worry! What can I say — my son was 100% correct, I should of conserve my emotional energy … Busy Scissors van came on time, I received a phone call 20 minutes in advance that they are coming, they brought their own generator (I am living in high-​rise), we brought Lui down, and in an hour received a phone call that he is ready to come back home. What can I say — our kitty was extremely cute and … happy … He didn’t look mad, he didn’t run away under the bed and didn’t hide. Needless to say my worries were baseless, and now I’m very happy and content until I find another reason or reasons to be worry about something.
Thank you very-​very much for the superb service Busy Scissors! I would recommend you to anyone with the needs of pet grooming. Nice and very kind people, pu-​r-​r-​fect service, reasonable price!!!

They get a 5 star review just for giving me a laugh everytime I see a Mercedes Benz van roaming around with those paw prints all over the side. My dogs fur is like ½ inches long, so he doesn’t need Busy Scissors. Good luck on your business and I hope to see that Paw Printmobile around town more often.

The first visit was incredible they did everything I wanted them to do a very reasonable price for the dog. The second time they came back the girl refused to do the service. She only wanted to spend a short amount of time doing what she wanted to do. She was very late and I was the last appointment of the day. I believe she didn’t want to do the haircut and the shampoo because they wanted to go home. But it was me who got the blame for it. she accused me of not taking care of my dog properly. And it was an unsafe situation to shave the dog. Even though we’ve had it done for years. people all over the world shave their dogs. She then told me that they wouldn’t be able to service our dog anymore. When I called to complain I got the same lady text me like a crazy person.

Whitney and LeeAnn took awesome care of our big Maine Coon boy. We weren’t sure if he would allow a grooming with his matted hair, but he ended up loving the service and the haircut. We will definitely be calling busy scissors again!

Love, love, love these guys!!! They’ve helped me tremendously with my dog that was traumatized by her previous owners. Every experience she has had with them has been a positive one. I’m so thankful to have found groomers that are so caring and patient. The fact that they come to you just makes it that much better.

And another update…
After the sad misunderstanding between Deirdre and I last week, I got a personal call from Whitney — there are so many reasons why we love busy scissors, and this is just one of them. Whitney apologized for the misunderstanding, and is working on a way to bring Pepper back into the rotation! I’m so thankful to have such compassionate and caring people taking care of my furbaby, and they really really do care — they remember how she likes to be held, that she has a tender back toe, and they treat her they way I treat her. MAHALO for being wonderful.
I just wanted to give a quick update — you know how sometimes as a business grows, they change and somehow not for the better?
I moved from Kailua to the Ala Moana area, and tried to re-​establish Pepper’s scheduled appointments. After waiting a week for them to call back, an incredibly rude Deirdre called back and told me that it wasn’t worth it for them to come to town. WTF?! I live in a huge pet friendly complex with tons of fur babies, who’s owners were interested in having a convenient groomer service. When I tried to explain that there is ample guest parking, and easy access to the freeway, Deirdre gave me even more attitude. I am so disappointed — I had referred people to them, and Nick Jordan Vanessa and Vicki were so good with Pepper. Oh well.

I have a tiny chihuahua mix and pit bull/​whippet mix. For the two of them it came out to $ 160 which is pricey but it was sooooo worth it. Besides the fact they became squeaky clean both groomers who came were so sweet! They have both doggy and people skills which I don’t think you find just anywhere.

I love Busy Scissors grooming, my BFF is always so happy after a treatment from them. I can tell he knows he looks marvelous. His spirit is lifted just as though he was human. The best part for me is the convenience Busy Scissors offers by coming to my home. I use to have to drop off and pick up 4 – 5 hours later. I just don’t have that type of time at my disposal. Especially when I am off from work. I’d like to spend my day off on me time, and Busy Scissors allows me to do just that. Yes, they are a little more costly, but not by much. Honestly, to me they are cheaper because of the time they give back to me. Their service is invaluable to a busy person. Hence the name, Busy Scissors. They cater to the busy and they’re really great at grooming. My BFF smells incredible, looks marvelous and feels marvelous.
When you bring your extended family member to the groomers, they sit in a cage until it’s there turn to be groomed and they’re retuned to a cage until you come and pick them up. Not with Busy Scissors. They provide a clean healthy environment for your family member. Imagine if you were caged before and after a treatment, would your attitude be affected? Absolutely!!! When I picked up my BFF from the groomers, he was happy to see me, but his temperament wasn’t anywhere close to when Busy Scissors brings him to the front door. The temperament is night and day.
If your still using the a commercial store groomer, you owe it to yourself and your furry friend to give Busy Scissors a try. You’ll be hooked for sure…

My dog will not let me trim his nails. Period. He jerks his feet back and manages to lay on all four and refuses to move. He loves the folks at Busy Scissors. Not only can they trim his nails but he lifts his paws for them like he’s getting a pedicure! They are thorough, only use natural shampoos and conditioners and have managed to get him to even like getting a bath. They come to my house, they are on time, and very affordable and professional. I highly recommend them.

Again awesome job Zues loves these ladies and feels so better, the connivence of them coming to you means football Sunday still on –HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEYRE WONDERFUL

I love the employees, they are awesome.
They did an amazing job grooming and cutting my dog.
The only downside is it was 95 $ to groom my yorkie.
They did an excellent job, but sadly I will be going somewhere else that doesn’t charge as much.
If you’re willing to pay the price then it’s worth it.

Finally a company that takes care of older pets too! Prompt, friendly and understanding of our dog’s medical issues. I am so glad I called. I will be rebooking for our other pets as well! The ladies made the whole experience stress free and for that I thank you!

I usually do my own grooming at home but I’ve been busy lately and didn’t want to get in a nail file/​dremel WWF match. Busy Sissors is not able to come on base, but they’re VERY close to almost every military housing complex. My dogs come back clean and happy. Chuck has hip dysphasia and I can always tell if someone has been rough at a groomers, his limp gets really bad. That has never happened at Busy Sissors. 5 STARS!!!
PS You can pick up raw food orders there as well. And IMO, the drive to their office offers one of the most beautiful views their are on Oahu, so I don’t mind it one bit.

Omg! I love, love, love this company. OK let’s be real. 1 I don’t have to get soaked to wash my beloved mongrels. 2, I don’t have to promise the leather seats in my car that their over grown nails won’t leave a mark. And the all time best #3, I don’t have to get all dolled up for an outing in the off chance I see someone I know (ladies, you know what I mean)!!! They come to your house, greet whatever manner of beast that has allowed you to worship them, and take your little vixen out for their monthly makeover!
Before, I’d drive my dogs to a groomer and wait for hours before I saw them again. This way I can actually watch them get groomed in my own back yard! Yes they are pricey, but they are Soooooo worth it!

For starters I have to say I have not used them in over two years. My review is based on the awesome advice and customer service I received even when they knew I was not going to be making an appointment anytime soon.
I called to schedule an appt for our two maltese Napoleon and Leo. Leo is just looking crazy and poor Napoleon has been battling skin allergy issues for some time now that had made his hair super uneven from all the chewing and scratching. I knew he was uncomfortable so I wanted to have him shaved down and make the process quick and painless without leaving them in a kennel for half the day at PetSmart, so I called Busy Scissors. The guy who called me back the same day was super nice and informed me their prices had increased since the last time I used them. After finding out the cost I thanked him and explained I’d wait – napoleon’s hair is choppy so he wouldn’t benefit much from a nice expensive haircut right now, I really just needed basic so we could tend to his sore skin.
When I told the guy this he was understanding and referred me to a few products they use for dry skin and hotspots, some they’d actually told me about before but I forgot I had (and worked great). When I told him these allergies were an ongoing battle he then proceeded to give me information on raw foods, how they see lots of dogs in Hawaii with this problem and the causes and benefits of the dogs eating raw. He was very knowledgable and beyond helpful. He suggested I check out a local company «Raw Dog Hawaii» for organic, raw dog food and encouraged me to look up the facts and benefits.
After much research and talking to Raw Dog Hawaii we decided to invest in the raw dog food in hopes it cured out poor itchy pup. It hasn’t even been a week on the food and Napoleon is SOOOOO much better.
So I’d like to thank Busy Scissors for their expertise, passion and kindness in sharing all of this information and helpful tips to someone who hadn’t used them in over two years and still wasn’t going to at the time. I am a small business owner myself, so for them to take the time to help me out regardless if I was being a current customer or not was truly appreciated – but I appreciate even more sending us to Raw Dog Hawaii. So far it’s been a lifesaver we couldn’t be more grateful and when Napoleon grows his hair back his new ’ do will be styled by them! :)

LOVED this service and their staff; Jordan and Vicki. Fabulous women with the perfect temperament to take care of my fur babies. I’ve got two, what I call, neurotic babies. One skittish and the other «sensitive» to grooming. The ladies were gentle, and cared for my boys as if they were their own.
Now I work for the Department of State and they extended their discount service towards myself (as I serve overseas, most recently in Baghdad and now in Europe) it’s nice to be appreciated for the work I do for our country.
Having just recently come back for a quick visit I’d noticed that my boys had a little issue with Ticks. I explained this to the Busy Scissors crew; I had them vet-​checked and bought products to get their ticks under control. Regardless of that, they took my boys in. Unlike other groomers.
Now I understand that they may seem pricey for some Unilocalers that have reviewed their service, but considering that they go to your home, using precious gas and van and in house tools, I can totally understand. They need to pay for the upkeep of their «office». I LOVE the fact that their van is cozy; intimate; quiet; and clean. I never liked having to drop my boys off and stuffed in kennels waiting their turn to be groomed. All the while probably losing their ISH as other dogs flowed in and out of the groomers. I’d get anxious!
Cannot begin to laud praises for this company, I’m definitely using them again. Give them a shot. Well worth the final product.
