Toscana’s Ristorante specializes in southern Italian cuisine. Homemade sauce is a mainstay at Toscana’s as well as homemade pasta and affordable pricing. Chef Armando Pitella of East Boston who has over 60 years experience prides himself in making fresh tomato sauce, like your mother used to make it. Our sauce is made from only the highest quality tomato’s, meats and vegetables.

Fresh seafood is a priority at Toscana’s as the fish is hand picked directly at the fish pier in Boston. Our family has been in the fish industry for many years as our family has been selling fish at the Haymarket in Boston since 1980.

Established in 2009.

As of June, 2009, Toscana’s Ristorante has been revitalized with new ownership. The new proprietors have infused the restaurant with a fine attention to detail, along with an authentic, Italian flavor; genuinely inspired by the Tuscan region of Italy. Fresh seafood, homemade sauces and pasta are a specialty of Toscana’s kitchen, and you can rest assured everything is not only prepared fresh, but made to order. Outstanding. Where to start… Restaurant is a hidden jewel in Peabody. Quaint place to eat in with excellent service. Takeout is always as good as eating in and they offer an everyday discount at the takeout window from the reg menu. The function room service is fantastic (have had two parties there myself and attended a wedding reception there). Amazing food as always and VERY reasonable bill for what you get.
Oh, and do yourself a favor and request the homemade fettuccini with whatever pasta dish you order. They make it themselves fresh and it is awesome.

Always a fantastic meal whether we eat there or take out. Some of the best pizza around but the 2 best things on the menu (IMO of course) are the Eggplant Rollatini (velvety soft cheese filling, they’re fantastic homeade pasta sauce, cooked to perfection) and the Chicken Marsala (perfect balance of sweet and savory).

Definitely an Old School Italian restaurant.
Had a glass of wine at the bar while I waited for friends. it was a nice big pour. Once we sat down service was pretty good. But the food did not blow me away.
Stuffed Artichoke appetizer was good. I ordered salmon as an entrée and it was overcooked chewy and dry despite being in sauce. So many restaurants screw up fish which is hard to understand.
Probably pasta is a good bet but at $ 21, one would hope the chef knew how to cook fish.

I had the chicken saltimbocca with Home made pasta. The homemade pasta with mushrooms made this entire meal! It was perfectly cooked and tender and the sauce was perfectly seasoned. The service was great perfect size portions, Great presentation and appealing atmosphere. The dessert was great but nothing sets it apart from any other molten chocolate lava cakes. Only downside the chicken was bland but overall I would definitely return and focus my next meal solely on pasta dishes this is where they excel.

Tried this place for the first time. Bread is hot and amazing. Salad was fresh and dressing delicious. Entrees: Gnocchi with meatballs. Gnocchi was a bit too ‘thick’ for me, but sauce and meatballs were tasty. My husband got chicken, broccoli & ziti in alfredo sauce which was also good– sauce not overly heavy. Add a few drinks and the bill was high for pasta, but the quality was good and service was great. The dining room was a bit too fussy for us so we sat at high tops in bar which was perfect. Give it a try!

Great service!
Here on a Thursday night. Bar is packed. But bartenders are attentive and fast. Drinks are well-​made.
Patrons look like regulars and recommend everything on the menu. Conversation between bartenders and patrons is easy and fast. No one is slacking and everyone is on the ball. Food comes out fast and delicious. And live entertainment tonight!!!

The food was ok, but not worth the hassle to get it.
We were a party of four for 7pm reservation last Saturday.
We arrived at 6:55 and were told they just cleaning the table.
Within the next ten minutes, over 30 people filled the waiting area.
We finally were seated at 7:40.
Put in our order at 7:55 and received it at 8:50.
Not a I’m sorry. Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
There are too many similar restaurants that I need not return.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the entire area. Everyone is upbeat and friendly, they are extremely attentive. I would seriously eat there every week if I could! I believe the Chefs are from Italy and everything tastes fresh. I love the salmon.

Pizza is one of the best in the area. The menu has all the classics, along with some more obscure but undeniably scrumptuous dishes.
Relaxed atmosphere, very reasonable prices, and friendly folks makes for one of the best Italian restaurants on the north shore.

Yum! So glad we had a chance to try this place out! Lots of different gluten free options on their menu. I opted for the chicken and broccoli Alfredo which was a corn based pasta, it was a little firmer than I normally prefer, but overall good! The chicken was nice and moist and I was pleasantly surprised that the Alfredo sauce could be made gluten free (most places don’t). The crème brûlée was a seasonal item, however we weren’t aware it was pumpkin until we took a bite. If you love pumpkin pie or anything pumpkin flavored it is a real treat. It was a little noisy, however most places are on a Friday night. Overall it was a delicious meal and great experience, we will certainly be back!

Son loved the steak tips, I loved the broccolli rabi. I am vegan and nothing else cooked to eat and his mom had lobster dish that wqs plaon. Fresh bread was great with olive oil.

Have been twice now over a couple of years and the food was fantastic both times. Tasty spinach and cheese ravioli, Alfredo, pastas. Tender chicken, steak cooked well.
Great specials, such as 0.30 wings, fun list of cocktails, nice looking bar. Separate bar and dining area. Same menu but you can set the atmosphere depending on your group.
Gluten-​free options for those who need it!
Could use a better wine list.

Great bar specials during the week. I love the eggplant pizza and the eggplant parm. In a very good drinks and the staff is friendly and fantastic. I wouldn’t give it five stars except for one of my best friends and I went there and we got a pizza with shrimp on it the shrimp is not deveined. Besides that I was given a perfect score. It has a great atmosphere and I highly recommend it.

Toscana is my new favorite. The specials are always the best, and the seafood is always fresh. I’m gluten free, and It’s never easy finding Italian restaurants that serve gluten free pasta and pizza so I was really excited to find this place. It’s not always consistent however which is why I’m giving them four stars instead of five. Last time I was there, I had a side of pasta, and it was overcooked — I was disapointed. Also I ordered gluten free pizza to go a couple of times, and it was undercooked. I ended up throwing it in the oven to finish cooking it. With that said, when they are good it’s very very good which is most of the time, but not always consistent.

Was not wowed. Service was good.
Good bread, good drinks.
I had veal parm veal was not thin but thick, tasteless and not tender.
Sauce was very good though.
Wife had Fusilli Florentine was good not great.
Mother in law had Lobster Amalfi was good not great.
Probably won’t try again.

This was a great new experience for me and my boyfreind… Sean was our server he was very freindly chatty and informative. Food came out fast, hott and fresh. Incredible service. Wonderful setting. Although we didn’t think it was when we first pulled into the parking lott. We were wowed when we entered the building, I had a chicken piccata. At a well 12.00 $ it was so worth the money. After appetizers, a bottle of wine and 2 entrees. It came to 70 $. Which was a great deal for the quality and amount of food… we will be returning. Service, food, value are a 10 in my book!

I can not believe how poor the bar service was here. My party was never told the specials, in over an hour at the bar were only asked if we wanted drinks once. Waitstaff would leave from behind the bar to bring the «regulars» drinks they hadn’t ordered yet. The food itself was 6.5÷10 but when I asked for no mushrooms on a dish I was told no problem, which wasn’t the case. (See attached photo) To top off the horrendous service, when trying to close out our tab, I asked to put $ 30 on my card and we would pay the rest in cash. I got charged $ 56.87 on my card which I did not approve. Normally I would call a manager about the issue but I am so disgusted by the service it is worth paying $ 26.87 to not go back. Good luck to the owners. I do hope your regulars cover all of your bills.
