This review is about their laser services and in particular regarding Devan their esthetician.
Devan is simply amazing. She is the most caring person I have ever met. No wonder why all her patients consider her a friend. Devan takes the time to explain to you what she’s doing and also makes sure to check with you post-​treatment to make sure you won’t have any unintended side effects. She definitely knows what she’s doing. As long as Devan works there, I will be lazering my whole body eventually.

This review is based on 2.5 years of going to this place for laser hair removal.
Initial Evaluation — I was very impressed with the place and the owner (who also happened to be my laser technician). The place looked clean and the owner seemed to be very professional. I have a very dark thick hair and light skin. I was told the hair should be gone after 6 to 8 treatments (this is in less than a year).
First 6 Treatments — I had average results but I was still excited as I saw my hair thinning. I had pretty bad marks on my skin for 2 or 3 days after each treatment. A few times chunks of my skin fell off. I could see patches of hair gone but most of it would re-​grow within 5 weeks (my treatments were every 5 weeks). When I asked if I should see better results I was told I need to be patient. In addition I was talked into treating another area and paid more $$$.
2.5 years later — I had to be close to 20 treatments by then. There were still huge patches of hair left. When I stopped getting treatments for a couple months most of my hair grew back. Now I am back to shaving.
When I tried to reach the owner to evaluate the situation and see if it makes any sense to continue the treatments I could never reach her. The receptionist was kind of rude when I asked for the owner. She said she would call me back in 10 minutes, then an hour, then tomorrow. Eventually I gave up.
I would give this place a better review if I saw some signs of actually trying to discuss the results with me every few months. I tried to do that but never got any kind of an answer except for having to be patient. Some kind of a compensation would be nice too, although I understand the results are not guaranteed.
I would not recommend this place to get laser hair removal. A lot of money and time gone. Very poor results.

I’ve been going to Go Platinum for about 8 months now. I started out with a Groupon and have added several additional areas to be treated since my initial purchase.
Devan does a great job and I always look forward to seeing her and having the treatments. Their laser causes far less pain than other spas — Lightsheet Duet — especially the larger attachment that utilizes suction while operating.
My appointment always occurs on time and the facilities are clean and modern.
Highly recommended in the Peabody area.

Update:
While resolution was made, I’m going to leave my initial review and update it.
After the initial BBB and AG filings, Cheri has worked to have a full refund issued, plus an additional $ 20 credit from Groupon for acknowledging the mistake. Regardless, I was still initially accused by Devin (employee of GPSS) to be a liar and sending in a fabricated website to get a discount on my treatment. That’s probably the rudest and worst customer service I’ve experienced in any service industry, especially in an economy such as this. I wish I had the ability to turn away $ 500 customers whenever I felt like, in this case multiple ones (myself and my aunt).
I’ve upgraded the review from 1 star to 2 star for Cheri’s effort to make good on this, but employing rude staff still doesn’t warrant a 3 star «A-​OK» review.

I have written a review in the past for this fabulous place. I am not certain why it doesn’t show ?
But this is the best place for laser I have gotten great results.
After 3 treatments I am happy. The staff is super friendly, make you feel comfortable. I was even more excited because they are on GROUP ON!

I have started going here for laser hair removal treatments with Devan. She is fantastic! She is professional, skilled, and very friendly.
The salon is cute, and conveniently located right off of route 1. I haven’t tried any of their other services yet, but I plan to. Everyone I have interacted with at the salon has been just so friendly and wonderful; I really feel welcomed here.
The laser hair removal pricing is very reasonable, especially since they run specials on Groupon and LivingSocial. Give them a try!
