Bucket Brewery

Though I’m a big fan of the brews here I have never been to the brewery. They were having an ipa day to decide what one to make next so I popped in. First off the staff are very friendly. Everyone is smiling and happy to be there. The brewery has tables set up where you can set yourself down and sample. Every beer we had we good and we even got to keep a souvenir glass. I don’t remember how much the tasting was but I don’t remember it being much. If your a beer geek like me this is a must try. Keep it local. :)

So the place itself is basic, but they have a nice bar set up and some spaces near the window that you can enjoy your samples while standing. For $ 7 you get 5 samples and these are big samples so it is well worth it, however; the beer… eh…not that great. I have been to so many breweries where I have loved at least 2 of the samples but these were disappointing.
I love IPAs and theirs just wasn’t great. There are so many breweries in RI but I would say at least go there and try as they are not pricey for what you get but I personally wouldn’t return for any of their beers

I went there to see the band ‘Mericans at the Bucket and it was awesome! Live music in a brewery? How can you beat that? Got to sample some of their beers and all were quite good. I am hoping they continue with the music series since it is such a unique venue to hear live music.

Not a bad place to stop in and try a few samples. It was only five dollars and the beers were tasty. Street parking is easy. I didn’t do the tour, just a sampling but I would do it again if I had friends visiting from out of town. Overall, not my favorite brewery experience but totally worth stopping in if you are in the area.

Local brewery in RI. Nice beers! Even though this is a small brewery it is worth visiting it, especially in dead of winter when there is nothing else to do around here.

Great brewery to visit. Much more room inside than at the nearby foolproof brewery. Lots of tasting options at various prices (5 bucks is the cheapest). Nice tasting area as well. The staff is super nice and knowledgeable. They have concerts once a month which are fun too.

Bucket Brewery is awesome. I got the chance to take a tour there last winter and it was a great experience. They are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about beer. After tasting their beers I had to get a growler of their maple stout.

Went this weekend with a group of people to Bucket Brewery to do the tasting and had a good time. When getting there, make sure you keep your eyes open, the brewery blends in with its surrounding, just look for the section of the street where the most cars are. With the tasting, we got four small glasses with different types of brews. All the beers from the tasting were good, some better than others. The staff, from the guy that checked us in, to the woman serving the beer were extremely friendly. The facility itself is very small, the section where you sit for the tasting was full when we got there (it’s about two tables).

Went here on a Saturday afternoon for a tasting, and the beer was underwhelming to both my boyfriend and I. Out of the four that we tried (1 porter, 1 stout, 1 pale ale, and 1 farmhouse), I only enjoyed the pale ale. When we went to check out for the tasting and tried to buy a growlette of the one that we enjoyed, they did not have it. I’m not sure if it was a busy day for them or if they were just understocked, but we did not have the best experience.

I hate to say it, but as far as brewery experiences go I didn’t love it here… I’m not cheap, and I do love supporting our local businesses, but $ 5 for 4 little sips of beer was a little much for me. I liked a couple of the beers and we bought a pint. I probably would have bought more if we hadn’t already spent money just to taste it. The owner was nice, the space is big cool/​industrial looking, and I wasn’t sure what to expect.
I like it.. Not love.

I visited Bucket yesterday with 2 «Bucket virgins». I think they are hooked, like me!
We asked to purchase the 2:00pm tour, but the man behind the counter said he wasn’t sure that was a possibility. Instead, he said he would give us a discount on the tour ($ 13 with a pint glass we take home), and give a personal shortened version — great customer service on a busy day!
The main reason to go to Bucket was also for the unveiling of the 9 Men’s Misery beer. An Imperial IPA. I am not a fan of IPAs, but will always give a beer a chance! The story behind the beer was more interesting to me, as I like local history and am getting more and more familiar with RI’s amazing past.
They seems to have at least 5 beers at all times, as I said I had been to the brewery a few times before, and I like the Park Loop Porter the best.
This place is not fancy — you’re standing/​sitting in the brewery itself, but there is usually a food truck outside. Noble Knots & Rocket — excellent food to have with your beer!

Bucket Brewery is an outstanding gastronomic gem which like so many of Rhode Island’s most beautiful treasures, are hidden secrets that you just have to know about. I have found this delicious and wonderfully cultural enterprise through word of mouth and have done a few tours and tastings that have gotten me to buy their products at local stores or restaurants where available.
Where do I start? The place is owned by five guys that are just passionate about brewing and know how to promote their craft in the best ambience possible. While the old mill looks well restored, it’s really neat to talk to them and see not just what goes into their recipies, but step by step the hard work that goes behind it. Very neat is that they might often pair the beer with certain foods, or have bands come over and play Friday nights adding to their festive mission.
With regards to their beers, they are technically perfect masterpieces. Most are very good to excellent with their centerpiece being a Porter beer but all of them having a high end style signature flavor. I would rate their beers on a par with Samuel Smith’s, Belgian trappist ales, or other complex, rich, and satisfying high end European microbrews. Occasionally they might experiment with some more exotic or spicy flavor fests some of which are totally spot on, others are less to my liking, but the worst thing I can say about their technically perfect products is that I subjectively might not like some of their offerings as much as others. My other major criticism is the law only allows you to buy small amounts when you go for a tasting which leaves me with a sad longing for more. It’s that good! As far as the flavor profile they all have a nice entry, flavor, balance and body with a lingering, pleasant finish that shows a fresh, well done and executed gastronomic product of the highest quality.
You know you want to, go ahead and call Eric and his buddies, arrange for a Saturday tasting or tour and bring some home, or buy some at the local stores like Bottles Inc.

I’ve had the chance to stop by and visit Bucket Brewery a couple of times and needless to say I really enjoy the beers these guys are brewing. For such a small operation tucked away in Pawtucket, the group here is very decicated to their craft and are really friendly and informative when it comes to talking about their different beers.
On both my visits here I opted to do the tasting instead of the tour. For $ 5 a person you get some very generous pours of each of their beers, along with one of the brewers providing a very detailed description about the particular one you are drinking. Out of the 4 I was able to try my favorites were the Pawtucket Pail Ale and the Park Loop Porter. Next time I go, I plan on grabbing a mini growler or two to take home.
Along with the tastings and tours they offer, I found out that on certain Friday nights they have a local band come in to perform and will serve beer and some food, which I’m pretty excited to check out. If you are into beer and looking for a good microbrewery to check out, Bucket Brewery is definitely a place to visit.

I walked in on a warm Saturday afternoon after perusing facebook and noticing that BB had tours going on all day. Catching the last tour of the day, 4pm, I walked the total of 50 yards across Pawtucket Ave. from my house in to their brewery. I was a bit early so I struck up a convo with one of the co-​owners/​brewers and checked out the local art on the walls near their tasting area.
They offer several tours through out Saturday afternoon, and for 10 $ you get a tour, a souvenir glass, and a generous tasting. We tried about five beers, ranging from a light pilsner to a dark porter. My fave is the Maple stout, which i left with a growler in hand. The tour offers a good history of how the brewery was started, a lesson on the brewing process, and a lengthy description on each beer you sample. It was educational but fun and well-​spoken. I enjoyed our tour guide, who I had remember from meeting at local beer fests and a Unilocal event in December. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and I am excited to return for one of their music/​beer nights that the brewer informed me of. I will definiitely be back, especially since it is a stone throw’s distance from my front door.

Bucket opened their doors not too long ago, and they’re already getting a lot of great buzz, including some from this guy. The tour is a little crowded at times given the small space, which makes it hard to hear what’s going on, but when you can hear, this crew describes their process at a good level — not too high-​level for the beer geeks and homebrewers, and not too low-​level for the Coors Light fans.
Not sure if they’re still doing this, but I was all about getting to write a little saying on their kegs. Bucket likes to give the kegs that they distribute some unmistakable flair — sharpie’d notes from their patrons! That was certainly a one-​of-​a-​kind, personal brewery experience. Very cool guys.
Also, the pitchers that they pump out at the end of the tour are awesome. Pour a glass and pass it around… that’s the way all brewery tours should be. And I doubt they still have it, but if you ever see it, I highly, highly recommend the Thirteenth Original Maple Stout. Killer, man.

WOW. Can I give six stars? Where to begin… well, with the beer I guess. They were all amazing — I mean that, not even one made me think «meh». The maple stout is my favorite but I loved all of them, even the lighter bodied ones which is usually not my thing. They use the spent grains from the brewing process to feed pigs… stop by and ask them about it… you can even buy that pork! (not at the brewery, it’s an arrangement w/​a local farm). How locavorally cool is that? To top off all of that awesomeness you couldn’t meet nicer or friendlier people. I can’t wait til they start their Friday night music series. Oh! And it’s about 1000 feet away from the Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers Market, combine the two for a really nice Saturday afternoon excursion.

We loved touring the bucket brewery! $ 10 tour, glass and tasting or just $ 2 for a tasting! It’s great to see how and the passion behind this local craft brewery and the pride of taking home your fresh bucket growler! Poured right in your backyard and super fresh! We loved the maple stout — sooo good! Can’t wait to see bucket brews on tap in more places in the area!

Bucket Brewery: friendly people, great beer, and all at a great price. I’m not a beer-drinker…But hot damn, their Rhode scholar made me a convert! Best drinking beer, ever.
My boyfriend and I walked into Bucket Brewery after sampling their beer at a local restaurant and loving it. We were greeted by Erik. Like other Unilocalers noted, he was really friendly– it felt like visiting your buddy’s home brewery! He was also super helpful. I asked him a zillion questions (where are you all from? How did you start this business?) and he answered with patience and kindness.
They currently sell growlers of their beers, which come out to $ 14 ($ 10 for the beer, plus $ 4 for the refillable growler). Their tastings are only $ 4 (what a steal!). In short: come to Bucket Brewery if you want to grab some tasty beer and meet some really nice guys!

I popped in here after going to the Winter Farmer’s Market at the Hope Artiste Village. The guys who own this place are super friendly and will chat with you and answer any questions you might have. They really seem to love what they do. We tried four of their beers, and thought all of them were delicious. We ended up purchasing a growler of the Park Loop Porter. Their Rhode Scholar beer was another great one. They do tastings every Saturday from 10 – 5, and offer tours at certain times as well. Only $ 4 for a tasting! Just a great local place!
