Outstanding local service from great people, a rare gem! Highly recommend you stop in for a really good meal and fun outdoor atmosphere!

How can anyone not give this great Food Truck 5 Stars, I want to give it 10+. I’ve passed Forrest’s for over 14 years and never gave it a second thought. The Pastor of my church in Pawling Mark suggested it and hey if your Pastor says it’s great who am I to argue. OM (GOSH) is this place great, I’ve been here twice had bacon cheese burgers both times with lettuce, tomato and grilled onions, fries and a coke. After looking at the menu I need to expand my horizons and try something different. The owners are gems and the setting is awesome. Good thing I’m not too close I’d be 300 lbs in a month! This is a must go to place in my opinion.

We love this place. Food is fresh, atmosphere is fun, owners are friendly. Wife had bacon cheeseburger, I chowed down on a chili cheese dog and grilled cheese sandwich, and we shared excellent onion rings. We’ll be back often.

Finally came here today after passing the location for many years. My wife and I loved it. She had a chili dog and fries and I had a spicy sausage and fries. We shared a coke. $ 12.00. We both enjoyed it immensely. We will be coming back to try the burgers another Unilocaled raved about. Great place. Try it. You’ll like it. It very easy to miss so keep your eyes peeled near the Pawling/​Patterson town line!

This place is amazing. I’ll continue to come back here. The people who run this place are exactly the kind of people you want to cook your food and they know how to do it well. I only wish it was part indoors so I could stay and eat more often.

Love, Love, Love this place! Excellent food and great people! I stop frequently on the weekends while out running errands and love to sit outside when it is nice out! The picnic area is clean and comfortable!

This is my favorite place in town to eat. Everything is great, the food, the people, the price. Even my grandma, who hates not being in a sit down restaurant, will sit on the picnic tables outside. The food is that good!

Cute little set up outside next to the food truck. We had lunch for two for $ 15. Quick service. There was a constant flow of people not to mention all the to go orders they were taking over the phone. A must stop if you are in the area a want a good quick lunch. Besides the burgers and dogs they have healthier options like grilled chicken and salads.

I’m just going to come out and say it. The west coast dominates over the east coast it terms of getting a good burger. We have been in NY for 5 months and have had nothing but mediocre burgers everywhere we have tried. And there are a TONS! So many little road side burger shacks that truly have some of the worst burgers I’ve ever had.
I had almost lost all hope till I saw this place. It’s absolutely adorable and the owners are extremely friendly.
I ordered the Philly burger and saw him weighing out a huge fresh burger patty and dicing up tomatoes and onions. Incredibly fresh. It’s like doing your own bbq at your house.
The burger was, not surprisingly, amazing. Best I’ve had by far since we’ve been here. This is an absolute gem and I will be coming back again and again.

Best roadside food in the area! Everything I’ve ever had has been tasty and always fresh. The owners are super nice too! Easy on the wallet. Outdoor seating with umbrellas. Hot dogs, burgers, sausage, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings, etc. You won’t be sorry to stop by if you’re hungry!

This is a definate ‘must stop’ if you are within 100 miles of Pawling. The hot dogs are fantastic and the owners are super nice. On a trip from MA back to our home in PA we got caught in traffic and called ahead to see how late they were open and the owner told us he would wait for us. Amazing.

The locals in the Pawling-​Patterson, NY area know where to go for good, simple and cheap food. Ken and Lynne Forrrest have been working out of their immobile food truck for over 20 years and it just gets better and better. You have to look for it because it is on a side street (hence the name) just off of Route 22 on the Pawling-​Patterson town line. Over the years they have moved the truck to the other side of the road, expanded the seating (picnics tables) and landscaped the grounds.
The hamburgers and hot dogs are popular but there are also great grilled sandwiches, hot and sweet sausages and more. They are open year-​around for lunch but during June, July and August they stay open Friday evenings and many locals make a visit a regular part of their Friday evening schedule. Several more elaborate specials are always featured on Friday evenings.
Ken and Lynne are very friendly and accommodating. They say that over the years many of their customers have become friends. Look for their signs and flags on Route 22 you won’t be disappointed.

Don’t let looks deceive you! This was a wonderful experience. Everything is freshly made and cooked. I had Italian sausage with the works, my wife had a cheeseburger and my daughter had hotdog. It was all quite good. I was told by someone that this is the hidden gem of Patterson.
