History

Established in 2012.

Meg decided to set her sights on a position teaching students with disabilities. For the last seven years Meg has taught both typical students and students with special needs whose disabilities run the gamut from Asperger’s Syndrome, to ADHD, to students with intellectual and emotional challenges.

Meg has now returned home to the south shore of Long Island to pursue her dream of her own art studio; to continue her own work in mixed media; and sharing her passion for the arts with students (artists) of all ages believing that ARTS are for all.

Meet the Business Owner

Meg H.

Business Owner

Meg Healy has been an artist for over thirty years. As a young student with challenges in reading in writing, Meg was introduced to art at the early age of six. With the help of her father, a high school art teacher, she began to explore the creative process.

By age twelve Meg was really hooked and the arts became an important part of her life. During high school Meg decided she wanted to explore a career in the fine arts. With portfolio in hand she applied and was accepted to the Fine Arts program at CW Post Long Island University. Meg graduated with a B.F.A. and continued with her studies at CUNY Brooklyn College.

After she attained her M.F.A. she continued to reside in Brooklyn and began teaching art at an after school program funded by the New York City public schools. She created and provided art programs to low income youth from preschool to high school.
