Description

Specialties

Executive Chef Tim Guiltinan presents exciting American cuisine inspired by international techniques and ingredients. 1886 Bar, created by Marcos Tello and Aidan Demarest, boasts classic culinary cocktails that have been rated among the best in the country.

History

Established in 1886.

The Raymond was the caretaker’s cottage to the Raymond Hotel, built by Walter Raymond of Boston in 1886. It burned to the ground in 1895 and reopened in 1901, serving opulence that attracted the Hollywood’s Golden Era celebrities. After the Great Depression, the Raymond Hotel was sold but the caretaker’s cottage remained housing Mr. & Mrs. Raymond into their twilight years. The Raymond has been a restaurant for since 1977, with current ownership taking over in 2003. Chef Tim joined the Raymond in 2008 and 1886 Bar debuted in 2010!
