We provide small group art classes and private art lessons for students of all ages and levels. We also provide portfolio prep classes to students who need to put together a portfolio of works for AP placement and college admittance.

History

Established in 2009.

John and Daniella Martin, a husband and wife team, founded the studio in 2009. They founded the studio in order to fulfill a need within the community for a more personalized approach to art instruction where every artistic level and style is fostered and encouraged. The small teacher/​student ratio allows for this level of individualized learning to happen.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

John received a BFA in Illustration from Art Center College of Design in 1995 and subsequently began a career as a freelance commercial artist. In 2002, he earned his MA in Studio Arts from Cal State LA.

Through the span of over 17 years, John has been teaching students of all ages and levels in various institutions throughout Southern California.

With his patient and careful instruction, John is committed to help each student reach his/​her artistic potential.

Daniella received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona in 1996. She spent over 12 years working as building designer and project manager on various public projects for two major architecture firms in the LA area. Her design experience and management skills contribute greatly to the everyday operations of the studio. Her goal is to ensure that each student will have a fulfilling and positive art experience at The Pasadena Atelier.
