History

Established in 1976.

In 1976 Tao of Wellness was founded in Los Angeles by the esteemed doctor, teacher and author, Hua-​Ching Ni. In 1985 Drs. Daoshing (Dr. Dao) and Mao Shing (Dr. Mao) Ni took over from their father, putting together a team of outstanding doctors and making Tao of Wellness a première healing and wellness center. Tao of Wellness is expanding and have opened their doors to their third satellite office here in Pasadena. Edsel Tan was selected to be the resident practioner, he continues to work closely with Drs. Daoshing Ni and Dr. Maoshing Ni.

AMAZING! I cannot say enough fabulous things about this place. My son had eczema so severe that any other kind of doctor has been loading him up on cortizon creams and antihistamines to drink. Those are only temporary fixes. We have been to some of the best doctors up and down CA and nothin has helped. For 4 years he has scratched himself into a bloody mess. Organic clothes and restricted diet have helped minimally. After one appt with Albert, clear soft skin. We did the acupuncture pen, stickers and tincture. For 4 weeks we have a weekly appt and its like our kid has never had eczema or severe dermatitis. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND! There is a cure that is non chemical related.

Wow! Had a massage AND acupuncture today with Dr. Albert Vaca — awesome! I came floating out of that room! Dr. Vaca has a great healing touch and knows body mechanics well (he has an orthopedic and sports medicine background). Have been going to Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica for years, and am so happy that the founding doctors — Dr. Mao and Dr. Dao make the trek alllll the way out to Pasadena once a month to see patients. Highly recommend! Pasadena just doesn’t know how good they’ve got it … :-)
