Straight hustlers here ! Amazing job ! These guys know what their doing :). I brought my computer into these guys and they fixed it in no time !

RE: Iphones.
If you use your iphone for work and have a cracked screen. HIghly. Highly. Highly recommend this place. Ray repaired my cracked screen within half an hour and with a higher quality replacement screen that was better than the original iphone screen. Most places use a screen that will have issues in the heat (if you leave it in the car in August it won’t work at all /​the touch scroll is hard to use).
I’ve had issues in the past w/​repair services in LA. They are either slow or don’t actually know how to fix my problem (but charge me anyways). Ray is a sweet man who is very direct. Decent prices. He’ll tell you if it’s worth the repair or if you should buy something new.

I do not recommend this at all. I can only speak as a customer who used their iPhone screen repair services. I went in the first time with a cracked screen and they fixed it that day for $ 85. The next time I came it was because my screen had lifted creating a gap between the phone and screen, rendering the screen useless. I thought nothing of it and has them repair it again. The third time, I had the exact same problem happen I pointed this out and asked if they had a warranty because I had been to them less than two months before and they said no. I was very frustrated and left. The following day I came back and asked them to do the service for me. I noticed gradually my screen lifting from the phones body again and eventually the screen went black. I was almost certain it was because I got a faulty repair and when I went to AT&T to activate a spare phone I told them what happened and they told me this wasn’t uncommon. Local businesses preying on desperate phone users by giving crappy repairs that don’t last and force them to come back over and over again. I came to Rays because of reviews I saw and maybe if someone sees this one, they’ll decide against choosing to go here. Very disappointed with overall service and wasted more than 200 dollars here

It’s not often that I leave multiple reviews for the same business, but sometimes a business will go above and beyond my expectations and do things that must be noted.
First I’d like to start with how I’d come to learn about Ray’s. I have an audiophile receiver, a high end Marantz that I use for my theater room. Spending $ 2,600 12 yrs. ago, I have come to love the unit and didn’t want to replace it when one night it blew up, literally it sounded like a shotgun at the time of its demise. Buying a new unit, something comparable to this one would have cost a lot and I knew that not everyone could be trusted to work on such a high end unit so I called Marantz. They were on the East coast and referred me to a store in Santa Monica (I think, or somewhere around that area). They wanted over $ 500 but before that they wanted $ 80 to just look at it. On top of all that, they had a 3 month turn around, WTF!@ Not having any other options, I almost paid it.
Before driving my unit to the Santa Monica repair store, I had mentioned my dilemma to a friend who works in sound engineering, music studio kind of stuff. Of all places he mentions Ray’s, right here in Pasadena just minutes from where I live. I couldn’t believe it. Shocked and baffled, to the fact that someone trustworthy could exist just minutes away from me. I again questioned my friend of their ability to repair high end audiophile units, he smiled and just said, «call Ray». Apparently the studio sends all their equipment to Ray.
I quickly called Ray’s, asked a few qualifying questions, and within an hour I was dropping my unit off. I was prepared to pay up to $ 500 but when Ray called me the next day to tell me it was only $ 140 less the $ 24 deposit, I was SHOCKED, is an understatement. I couldn’t believe it. Even after picking it up, I couldn’t believe that one shop wanted an arm and a leg while little olé Ray wanted a mere hundred bucks or so. I had doubts. Even after reinstalling the unit and giving it a run through, I expected it not to last. I thought for sure I’d be taking it back. But this was amazing. My unit is still running strong. I didn’t want Ray to know how much he saved me because he might start charging more, I know very selfish, but I no longer feel that way. I want others to know of how much you will save bringing the high end units here. I’ve brought my mono block tube amps, Audio Research, $ 6,000 amp I use for my music room, and I dare not let anyone even turn the volume nob much less work on it.
Last week I took my father’s 55 inch LCD TV and as usual, I saved a bunch and got it back sooner than expected.
Ray, you are truly a blessing from above, a servant to the community and are a priceless gem.

I can strongly recommend Rays electronics. I had a problem with one of my stereo tower speakers so I took it to Rays electronics. They fixed the problem, or I should say they thought they had fixed the problem. I picked up the speakers, plunged them in and it first appeared the problem had been fixed. Anyway after a couple of weeks I noticed a very faint crackling noise in the background coming from the speaker. I took it back to Rays and they immediately accepted the speaker back for additional repair under their warranty. They worked on the speaker and found they needed a resistor, capacitor, diode or something like that. Only problem the item had to be imported from China. Weeks turned literally into months trying to obtain the item. Rays found a similar item in America but in their mind it was not good enough as it was over heating. Finally Rays gave up on obtaining the item and installed a completely new speaker electronics assembly in the speaker tower that was compatible with my towers internal speakers. I picked up the speakers and was told there was no additional charge as it had taken so long to fix the problem. Now that’s what I call customer service with regard standing by your repair warranty. I took the speaker home and it works perfect. I strongly recommend Rays Electronics Store

My daughter and I walked in to Ray’s because she had dropped her cell phone and the screen shattered. The customer service here was GREAT! And the best part was, they were able to replace the shattered screen and have her phone ready in 30 min. That had my daughter walking out with a huge smile knowing she wouldn’t be without a phone for long. I would and will recommend Ray’s to any and everyone I know.

Ray has repaired two iPhones for us, mine and my wife’s. Both repairs were quick, fair priced and expertly done. I couldn’t give a higher recommendation.

When my iPhone home button broke right before Christmas it was a big hassle. Knowing that it was a «vintage» phone (3G) and that the Apple store would be insanely crowded this time of year, I walked into Ray’s electronics hoping they could help me in spite of the holidays. They were able to get the part and do the work really fast and then they charged me even less than they originally quoted. I really like the idea of being able to fix my old electronic devices instead of constantly having to buy new ones. For this reason I am sure I will be back at Ray’s soon!

I walked into Ray’s Electronics with what I had surmised was a broken motor on my Vestax Belt-​Driven Turntable. I explained to Ray what I thought the general problem was and in two days (Thu — Sat) he had not only fixed the motor but was willing to explain to me exactly what had gone wrong and how he went about his repairs.
Ray is a serious, earnest and above all competent repairman of electronic goods who has a mind to save his customers unwarranted hassle and expense.

The video stopped working on my small flat-​screen TV with built-​in DVD. I brought it in and paid a nominal fee for diagnosis and estimate, which I imagine would have been credited toward any repair. The estimate came back two days later ($ 70 parts and $ 70 labor) with a recommendation that I not bother repairing it because a newer TV would be a better investment. Good service, honest evaluation, I will do business here again the next time I have the need.

Ray is very honest! He looked at my Samsung 48″ LCD HDTV for $ 25 and told me it wouldn’t be worth the cost to fix it. He also gave me advice for future TV purchases. I appreciate his honesty very much.

If only you could give someplace zero stars. I see Ray’s has a ton of great reviews, and that is why I went there (along with the fact that I like to support local/​independent businesses) but I left Ray’s lickety-​split with no goal in mind other than to write this negative review because never before in my life have I been told by someone that they did not want my business and did not care if I came back! This guy — I presume he was Ray, since he was an older man and I cannot imagine anyone other than the owner having the nerve to be so rude to a customer, told me that the job I wanted done (removing the picture tube from a portable tv) was too small and he did not have time for that sort of work. [Mind you, he was on the phone when I came in and there were no other customers in the store and I certainly had not expected him to do it on the spot.]. I assured him that I intended to pay him, I was not asking for a favor! And instead of just naming some insane price or telling me he was backed up and it would be 6 weeks or something, and letting me decide to «shop around» he told me he did not want the money for such a small job — period — because he had more important work to do. And when, very taken aback, I told him ok but that I would not be coming back in the future with any bigger jobs, he told me that was fine with him. I knew it was a small and kind of off-​beat job (my intention was to make a bookshelf out of the tv, like I’d seen on Pinterst). Well, you know what? I went to OSH where the friendly man sold me a nut driver for $ 4 and I removed the picture tube myself and it took me about 15 minutes. Not sure why Ray did not just charge me $ 100 to do the same thing. I’d have gratefully paid it, been a happy customer, and written him a great review instead of a mean review. Truly, he could have done it while I waited and been $ 100 richer in the same amount of time it took him to be a jerk and less time than it took me to write this review. Go to Ray’s if you want, but be sure you take the «right» kind of big job — one that is «worth» his time!

Fantastic service by a professional who’s been working on electronics for 39 years. Cheapest price in town for an iPhone 5S screen change: $ 105 I wouldn’t go anywhere else…

Ray fixed my iphone 5s lcd screen and had my device back to me in under an hour. The phone looks great and the price was considerably lower than all the other repair centers I checked out. Definitely recommend

Great price, very fast service.
Ray’s fixed my ailing Onkyo THX receiver when its display module went out. The «factory-​authorized» center wanted $ 100 (just to diagnose!) and up to a month to repair it.
Ray’s did it for $ 65 out the door, and in less than 24 hours. The receiver works great. I would definitely come here again for components that need electrical-​type repairs (such as audio components).
My only minor gripe is Ray’s assistant (I didn’t catch his name) gave me a sassy look when I asked if I could see the repaired receiver before I signed the form saying «all repairs have been completed satisfactorily.» I assume asking to inspect the repaired item before certifying acceptance is not an unreasonable request. But this is a minor gripe. I highly recommend Rays.

Dropped off my cell phone here and the shattered screen was replaced in 20 minutes! Win! Only $ 65.00, which was 40 less than I found anywhere in Sacramento, where I live.

Great customer service. Ray is so kind and accommodating. I went in today with my older brother. My LCD was broken and his phone wasn’t turning on at all. I was charged a nominal fee for my repairs and he didn’t even charge my brother for the repairs on his iPhone! I will definitely be back and would suggest that other people go!

I have to give Ray’s TV 1 star. The owner Ray is rude and acts like he’s the only place in town you can take a TV too fix it. When I paid for my TV I wrote a check. He asked for 2 forms of ID and then went in the other room to call the bank and verify it. Can’t believe that. Then when my TV went out a couple days later I called him about it. He told me to bring it back he does not come out to pick it up even though he just fixed it. Mind you, My TV is old so its big and heavy. Whatever Ray. I’ll take my business elsewhere and good thing for Unilocal!I maybe able to make other people aware.
