Established in 1933.

Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel Valley is a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure broad public access to reproductive health care and family planning through medical services, education, and advocacy. All services are offered at low-to-no cost to individuals and families. Our service area covers 24 cities and extends east to west from Glendora to Glendale, and north to south from the San Gabriel Mountains to the San Bernardino Freeway.

Went in to see clinician and to get the HPV vaccine. Got in and out in about 1.5 hours. Friendly workers and clinicians but a bit disorganized. Clinician said since I went in for an infection I can’t get HPV vaccine but front desk told me differently and complain to the manager. Back nurses and clinician said for each visit you are only able to show up for one thing but since the manager jump in she said I can get both treatment such as treatment for yeast infection and HPV vaccine. Lesson learn make sure you ask people and especially the manager. Overall, I had a really good experience compare to the other planned parenthood in Alhambra. Will come back for sure. (Workers were very friendly and helpful)

Staff is okay. Made an appt and 2.5 hours later still hadn’t been seen for and HPV vaccine that’s doesn’t even take 5 mins to administer. It was absolutely rediculous.

I am smitten with the Pasadena Planned Parenthood location! The staff were all helpful and nonjudgemental and super informative! It was my first time visiting one of their clinics and they answered all my questions and offered sound advice.
I came in today (!!) at 1130am w/o an app., the receptionist scheduled me for an app. same day at 3pm. Came in around 2:40pm to turn in paperwork and waited till about 3:30ish to start the process.
((A half hour wait was well worth it – remember, they provide free to low cost services so the wait is worth the reward!:D))
I had the best people to guide me, Debbie (? I can’t recall the sweet woman’s name at the moment) set me up with an entire’s year supply of the pill as well as a goody bag filled with condoms and a box of the morning after pill. So thankful for the wonderful staff I encountered today!
Only thing to warn, you may encounter some protesters outside and they may shoot you a look or sneer but I just smiled and said hello as I carried on. NOT guna let a few trolls ruin such a great thing for me (:

Ok so I’m giving an update, no i have not been back to the location, but after i left my first review i got an immediate response from the office manager asking me to contact her.
She immediately apologized on behalf of her employees and assured me that there would be major changes concerning customer service.
I really appreciated her reaching out to me and it made me feel valued as a patient. I will give this location another try because of Ms Moore contacting me, and ensuring me that they were going to do everything to make sure the experience is better next time.
I cannot emphasize enough how much i appreciate a response from PP. Thanks!

I don’t mind the wait, I just wish the staff would at least fake a smile or something. My husband couldn’t even come with me. I wish there was another place for pregnancy verifications like HeartBeat of Miami. They actually cared.

I didn’t get anything free so the female saying that can calm herself. They made me wait an exorbitant amount of time with my 3 yr old for something that should have taken at most 2 hrs but other than that they r nice

Im here and i must say this time was probably the most comfortable visit because the nurse practioner Elizabeth was so nice and sweet. The wait wasnt that long either. Maybe 30 mins. I prefer this clinic over the alhambra one

OF COURSE YOU HAVE TO WAIT A LONG TIME, DUMMIES! You’re not the only one getting shit FOR FREE, they have to accommodate sooooo many patients! I do wish they could balance appointments a bit better, but I get it. Bring a book!
5 Stars for Henrietta and Jackie– I have had to go several times in the past 18 months for some very stressful/scary and uncomfortable procedures (colposcopy, biopsy, LEEP). They are pros, gentle and kind but serious about your health and saving lives. They really made the experiences so much easier. I’ve been a regular patient here for years and all of the staff have been nothing but pleasant. Remember ladies, you get what you give. Just be respectful and kind, and remember the staff are dealing with some real bozos on a regular basis.

Second time I’m here, last time I waited super long and they told me different appointments requires different time to set up. Okay, fine.
This time, I’m only here to pick up birth control pills, REFILLS. I even made an appointment! I waited 3 hours. No test, no procedure, SO WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO GET REFILLS?
They put me in a little office and I waited till the lights shut off too, (I’m guessing the light is timed) so I was waiting in a little dark room…
Finally someone came in, but then I was told they are out of stock of the prescription I am on. What? Shouldn’t they always have these things in stock, especially when it’s bad to change prescriptions?

To those who need other’s review to make a decision:
This clinic is NOT a good choice for you unless you have more than three hours to waste. Yes, I am serious. Every time you come, either check up, surgery or follow– up check, you need to spend three hours waiting. Even sometimes they just take your blood for a lab test it still takes three hours. I don’t understand why they have the the appointment system because even you make appointment you still waste three hours.
All the receptionists here are mean except one lady.
If you ask them any questions from how long I need to wait, to how is my wife’s situation, they don’t answer you by giving all kinds of excuses.
Finally, as for the doctor’s skill. I will say this is depended on different cases. My friend is successful that’s the reason she refers my wife. But for my wife it is failed. My wife did the abortion but the first surgery is totally failed so after a couple weeks she need to come back and do it again.

What’s the point of having an appointment if u still have to wait an hour or two I just came in for a shot had an appointment at 130 had me waiting for an hour and half never coming here again should just gone to the one in Whittier never had to wait this long there the most was 30min

I was turned away because i have kaiser insurance which is whatever fine but let that be known when the appointment is made that you wont see me when you ask for my information and i give it to you instead of turning me away at the front desk day of. At least should be mentioned online somewhere. I believe that if i have to schedule an appointment, request that time off work in advance that should have been mentioned to me.
the whole point of wanting to go to planned parenthood was for that confidentiality.
I wouldve just paid full price for the visit if theyd let me but they have a strict contract with kaiser i guess.
At least the nurse felt sympathetic for me

This is the best Planned Parenthood that I’ve ever been to. Is there a wait? Yes, a long one. Is the staff friendly? Incredibly. Especially the clinician that met with me. Is it clean? It’s the nicest one I’ve ever been it, and it looks like a cozy home from the outside.
I would choose Planned Parenthood over a private Gyno any day.

Honestly I try and be nice to the staff because I know I am getting birth control for free. But I got so pissed off last time I went I made an APPOINTMENT and I still waited over an hour. While I waited a girl walked in with her afternoon appointment and got called in 5 minutes after waiting. I got angry and told the front desk and they finally called me in after I complained. Its very disorganized and it shouldn’t take that long if you make an appointment!

This is a review for the nurse at this clinic. I went for a normal check up and getting my blood tested from my finger and my arm. They bruised my arm really bad to the point where I couldn’t lift it for the rest of the day. I’m 22 and I’ve been getting check ups all my life that includes blood test, and I have never been bruised this badly.
The tiny prick they placed on my finger hurt like they drove a sewing machine needle through it. They hit a nerve on the side of my finger and this is TWO MONTHS LATER and it still hurts if I press down on the finger at an angle or I’m trying to grip something hard.
Also I waited 3 hours when I made an appointment 2 weeks ahead. I definitely will not be coming back.

As I sit here waiting for a clinician, I can’t help but feel extremely annoyed that I can hear all this talking and laughing outside of my door. My appointment was at 1pm, I came in at 12 since I knew this location always takes forever. They FINALLY called me in at 2pm. There were at least 5 girls who arrived after me, but went in before me.
Call me crazy, but if your appointment was at 12:30 and you come rolling in at 1pm, the person who checked in before you and was on time with the appointment at 1pm should be seen first!
The staff is always really helpful, but I’ve been sitting in this tiny office for almost 20 minutes now! And there is only so long you can look at the posters of the male and female reproductive systems before you want to scream…

Terrible! Just terrible. My appt was at 11:20 am, I went in early to fill out papers, waited until 12:45pm to go in to get blood pressure and give urine sample, then had to wait to speak with a clinician. Apparently they’re at lunch! Really?! Schedule appointments around lunch time?! Around 1:30 pm they told me it’ll be about 20min because they’re finishing lunch and I’m thr NEXT ONE. At 2:10 pm I went to check again and they said it’ll be about 20 min. I complained that they said «20 minutes» half an hour ago. They had me wait a few more min before calling me in. Sat in the the room and didn’t speak with a clinician until 2:30 pm. 10 – 15 min conversation. Really?! Clinician was nice though.

If I could add negative stars I would. Waited 3 fucking hours. 3 HOURS!!! That is absurd. I have never waited for so long in my life. Not even a disney ride. If you really have to use another planned parenthood location. This is ridiculous. I have never had any problems before but the wait is not gonna make me come again.
I just can’t get rid of the fact that I waited 3 hours. I desperately needed it that’s they only reason I stayed the extra hour. FUCKING RIDICULOUS.
