Piano Play Music System emphasizes enjoyment of piano lessons while stressing a rounded music foundation through our quality teaching method and products for children beginning at the age of 19 months to 7 years old. To foster this type of learning, we maintain small class sizes and require a parent or guardian to accompany the student in classes. Private instruction is also available for continuing students, older beginners, and adults.

Meet the Business Owner

Sharon S.

Business Owner

Sharon Shaheed is a songwriter and music producer. Ms. Shaheed holds a Bachelor’s in Music Education and a Master in Music Performance with a minor in Music Pedagogy. She has over 25 years of teaching experience and is the founder and Co-​Owners of Piano Play Music Systems, Inc. Ms. Shaheed incorporated her love for songwriting, knowledge of children’s learning development and her teaching style to write and create a series of music books: Lowy Hija & Friends, Music Tales, LaRue McDoozen and the Roofus Reports. These books help children as young as 19 months learn music skills such as; ear training, note and rhythm reading and music terminology. The success generated by these books has helped to make PPMS one of the largest Southern California privately owned music school. Ms. Shaheed also teaches alternative piano methods to more than 500 students at Piano Play Music Systems in Sherman Oaks, California.
