Specialties

I have been a musician throughout my life; I began studying piano at age 5, and began violin lessons at age 10. I did my first Symphonic tour as a violinist throughout New Zealand and Australia when I was in high school, and eventually went on to college to earn my degree (BA in Biology) under full scholarship from the University Symphony as the 1st chair of the 2nd Violins.

After college, I studied voice informally at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I later entered the Mae Z. Orvis Vocal Competition at the University of Hawaii and won a scholarship to enter a degree program in Vocal Performance, and then trained with the Young Artists Program at the Hawaii Opera Theatre. I have been a professional singer since 1998, and performed at the Wassermusik Festival in Berlin in 2008, the Hawaii Opera Theatre, the Seattle Symphony Benaroya Concert Hall in 2012 and LA’s renowned Walt Disney Concert Hall in 2012.

I’ve acted in musical theatre in productions of «The King and I,» «Romance, Romance,» «Chicago,» and «BatBoy,» amongst others. I speak Mandarin Chinese and have have studied language abroad in China and Taiwan and lived in Hong Kong, Honolulu, New Jersey, Chicago, San Francisco and LA.
