Paper Source

I needed to get some important presents wrapped so I stopped in, and from the moment I entered, until the time it was done, the service and customer care I received was outstanding. Everything was fast and easy. And most importantly, the packages came out gorgeous! Better than I could have imagined. The selections they have are abundant and beautiful. Both Kate and Courtney handled everything with total class! Thank you both for such a great job!

I love paper, so I am slightly biased when it comes to Paper Source, but you must be evil if you don’t like Paper Source. That being said, this location has one of the friendliest staff in the Los Angeles area.
Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable about… You know crafting stuff. This store’s stamp selection seem a little lacking, but I can’t really complain. At most, that is like a quarter star deduction so the five-​star rating remains.

Amazing service and the only place I could find open on a Sunday that does gift wrapping.
They are a quaint little shop. Only reason I’m giving them 4 stars? No Spanish stationary! We like cute stuff to give our abuelas too!

This place is a cute, helpful little store inside Old Town Pasadena. I took my family here a couple of months ago because my mom is obsessed with card making. So, she came here to check out what they have in the store. We ended up buying a lot of their stuff because the staff was extremely helpful!
If you have any concerns or comments, don’t be afraid to ask them. They are more than willing to help you and will guide you to whatever you need help with. They also have classes that you can enroll in to learn more about card making and have some idea of where to start from it. My mom enrolled in the Valentine Day’s class and came back with quite a few cards that looked amazing.

So sweet! I have a stamping product I bought from ANOTHER business, yet these cool people were so nice when I called them for help after I spent an hour trying to figure out how to change the stamp plate for it. The Paper Source lady on the phone said «Sure, we’ll help you change the stamp plate for it. No problem.» I’m headed there now to get help — and to buy some of the pretty paper they’re known for in Pasa! Support the folks who support you with good customer outreach, kindness and helpfulness!

This store is not your typical Michael’s. If you like to be creative and artsy, then this store is for you. It is a higher end Michael’s, you can say. Too bad I live far away. But I can do major damage if left alone here! Lol… I love their stamps and their stickers & just about everything !

As an ad hoc calligrapher, I love that this place has constant stock of the paper goods I need. The employees are always so nice and helpful. They almost always verify that I picked up the right color of paper/​cards during check out. This has twice saved me from a return trip. I could spend an hour easy browsing this store.

I grew up in the era where Papyrus was the Nordstrom of greeting cards. Over the years, Papyrus became less popular… probably around the time the movie Avatar appropriated their font and made everyone associate it with motion capture and Zoe Saldana playing a surprisingly unsexy blue cat monster. The intervening years were hard, mostly cause Hallmark was still around and your choices were either Hallmark or a smattering of indie bookstores and arts and craft shops.
Then came Paper Source (if someone from Paper Source comments and says «actually we’ve been around for like 12 years,» then disregard that entire first section).
Paper Source has everything you wished Hallmark had and everything you thought Papyrus had, even if they really didn’t. It has a ton of great cards, actual funny ones and not ones with George Bush or a shirtless beefcake talking about making your birthday wish come true, like the ones you get at Rite Aid. They also have probably the best selection of gift wrap I’ve ever seen. It’s *color coordinated* in like, gradients, that’s how much of it they have. There’s even a huge section in the back that’s entirely devoted to… I think it’s custom stationary (?). I’m not sure.
The service is also really good, which yeah, maybe it’s not really as important as it is in a restaurant or a massage parlor, but it is still nice. Because at the end of the day, you’re buying something that someone created as art (unless you get the little «No. 2 pencils» with the poop on top, then you’re not… although, you know, who am I to say that’s not art).
In summary, Paper Source is better than Hallmark and Papyrus and Avatar put together.

This is my go to place for cards!
I always see the cards I send people from here on their fridges or on displayed when I visit their homes. Haha.
I get a lot of compliments on my card choices as well…

My fiancé and I stopped in here for wedding materials. It’s on the small side, but they have a ton of color options for envelopes and flat cards. We were able to find the colors we needed. BUT this place is extremely expensive! And they didn’t have the white confetti we needed, or the shape cutters we needed. The salesperson was extremely helpful, showing us different things in the store that she thought would be helpful for our project. She definitely saved us time with the double sided tape dispenser! The prices and selection on everything but paper is what gets it 4 stars.

Meh. For the premium you pay for the beautiful paper goods here, service could really use a face lift. The people working there were mediocre at attending to customers and all (there were 3 the day I went) had lukewarm attitudes. Their coupon policy is odd (wasn’t able to use mine even though it was legit). Too bad they’re the only paper source in the area! Maybe I’ll try Costa Mesa next time mehhhhh.
Oh yeah. And if they’re ridic about coupons, just use it online. I did that and it worked. Such a dumb waste of my time. Mehhhhhhh.

i can’t believe i haven’t reviewed Paper Source yet. it’s my favorite spot to look to first when i have a celebration to prepare for. there’s a ton of inspiration, and the staff is such a gem of a resource. they truly help you envision and set the tone for your theme with ideas. if you’re on a budget they also work with you and give you options.
over the years PS has helped me make invites and accessories for my WEDDING, my daughters’ high school GRADUATIONS, my prince’s first BIRTHDAY… they have stamps, banners, a rainbow of stationery, the cutest stickers and embellishments for thank you notes, party favors. garlands and banners. they also offer crafty CLASSES.
for my WEDDING (almost a handful of years ago) i came here to find something unique. we ended up making custom invites with their gorgeous paper. since we had a budget i used an outside local printer whom PS recommended and we saved hundreds!
for my daughters’ graduations i chose from papers and card stock that matched their personalities. we love making POM POMS from their customized colors. so darn pretty!
it’s refreshing just to come by and see what’s bright for the season. holidays or just summer days… they have the most charming displays and items, whether its for gifting, mother’s day, father’s day. or just something to brighten up your space at home or at the office. it’s one of my favorite spots to spoil myself too! PS just the CHARM!

I love this store. I try to buy cards for my friends and family that aren’t just run of the mill and Paper Source delivers. I also buy ink pads and drawing pens here. They have fun gifts too, which are a nice shortcut if you are running low on time or ideas for someone.
As a guy, cards from here will get your extra-​credit from you significant other, especially compared to the cards I used to buy at a certain not-​to-​be-​named car wash.

Paper Source is my heaven.
I’m a graphic designer who loves stationery, crafting, gifting and decorating and Paper Source has everything I need to get all that done! Everything is well-​designed (because, you know, there are similar businesses out there who unfortunately don’t have as good a style sense). Service is always friendly and available and products are reasonably priced. They have a wide array of art/​office supplies too and areas where you can test out different products.
If you find me crying here, it’s because I know I can’t have everything in the store.

I love this store. The wrapping paper is just beautiful and unique. Paper Source can accommodate all budgets and sizes. This Christmas I dropped off two iPhones that were surprise gifts for my girls and asked them to wrap them up from Santa in a whimsical style — the paper was a printed brown parchment paper type with a gorgeous double sided red satin ribbon. They also placed an old fashioned little stocking as a topper with old fashioned Caravelli gift notes from Santa! My girls cried when they found them hidden along the side of our Christmas tree and read the note from Santa. Well worth every penny (they cried of joy even more when they Opened the gifts but that’s another story). Thank you Paper Source!

Great place to go and great ideas for any events you may have coming up. The customer service is outstanding!!! They will help you with what ever you may need.

I am so dissatisfied with this place. The products and quality of product is great! Customer service and all there terms and conditions are BS.
I spent over $ 200 here for things for my wedding. One thing in particular were envelopes for invitations. I bought too many and i went to return them. Well i brought the wrong receipt. I only had the receipt were I bought ones instead of several. So of course they wouldn’t take them all back only one… not worth it. So i asked them if i find the other receipt, I can return them… Yes…Well actually that should have been a no. I found the other receipt went back to return them again and they wont accept it because, I don’t have the card they were purchased on.
I have no access to this card anymore, so i am stuck with all these envelopes. I am obviously not a fan of their policy’s so i wont be going back there. Not to mention parking is a pain there and I had to pay for parking each time I went.

I still love walking around Old Town Pasadena and one of the stores that I will stop by is Paper Source. I might not buy anything but I just love the ideas that they have in here for small gifts to cute gift wrap and also lovely cards.
If you want to do some special cards for a birthday or even a wedding maybe you should check this place out! I can spend quite some time in this place to look at all the things in here.

They have red, black, blue, and white bakers twine! 7.95 a ball (see the picture for size — it’s a pretty hefty ball!)
paper source is always full of cute stuff, i love it! this particular store is at the end (or beginning, depending on how you look at it) of colorado blvd, and it’s a fun little stop if you’re taking a shopping trip here. i actually stopped here with a goal in mind — bakers twine! i had seen it before, and i have been looking at prices online, but with shipping and everything, the twine was cheaper at paper source.
the store is very neatly laid out, and there are multiple displays set up throughout the store, as well as things hanging in all of the walls. they have things like wrapping paper sheets (kind of pricey, around $ 4 per sheet), rolls of wrapping paper, cards, toys, old fashioned candy, stuffed animals, wedding invitations, stamps, and a lot of other random craft stuff. even if you’re not a crafty person, they have stuff that’s already pre-​made for you, like card kits! i think it’s a great place to get gifts for other people — there’s a lot of unique random stuff in paper source!
prices on their items tend to be pricier, i think mainly because it’s an upscale craft store. so that’s my only qualm with paper source — if everything were 50% off, i would be buying stuff like crazy, though!
parking is also kind of a bummer — you can park at the meters on colorado, or go park in the parking structures on colorado that give you 90 minutes of free parking :)
