This place was recommended to me by my mechanic ask needed to get breakfast while my car is being worked on. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and the friendly service. The eggs were cooked perfectly as were the hash browns, the pancakes were excellent. I will be back.

I have a problem, and I’m a big enough man to admit it. I am addicted to the pickle bar at Lee’s Hoagie House. Over the years, I’ve tried to resist; I’ve made various attempts to eat at other places, avoided Colorado Boulevard on my drives from the Arcadia home to my pastoral roots in Pasadena, and regularly purchased large bottles of unfiltered apple cider vinegar to take the edge off. But it’s no use. Every time I’m in the area, I cannot help but stop, order a big pastrami sandwich, and then load up my tray with pickle cucumbers, turnips, and other assorted goodies. Sure, people look at me funny, walking to a table in the back with my tray so ridiculously overloaded with salt and vinegar-infused veggies. They must wonder how I have not fallen over from a massive coronary yet, killed by enough sodium to fell a bull African elephant. … And that’s before I get my pastrami, served on a flaky yet soft roll, with just the right amount of mustard. Maybe it’s the self-service fountain drinks that help me balance salty and sweet while I sit and eat… Maybe it’s years of training, or perhaps it’s the Lithuanian blood that courses through my veins, predeterming my inclination to all that is pickled and fermented. Whatever it is, I am glad that this restaurant has been here for a long time. Truthfully, I don’t make it there as much as I used to, but when I’m in the neighborhood, I try, I really try. Anyway, I can just drink a couple of extra glasses of water and head to 24-hour fitness…

Man at the register was super friendly, and he treats all of his customers like family. I got the famous chicken hoagie and it was one of the juiciest chicken I have ever had, the fresh produce was a good compliment to the buttery, toasty bread. Easily one of the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! To add on, the fries that I got was amazing. Crispy and delicious.

I love sandwiches, and a quick work meeting in Pasadena warranted a Unilocal review for a sandwich shop. After reviewing the pics and reviews at Lees hoagies, I was ready for a sandwich I originally wanted a New York Italian style cold cut with this delicious red pepper relish, but the owner talked me into a chicken hoagie. I remember seeing the pictures and was not impressed. I was sold on the red pepper relish. I reluctantly ordered the chicken hoagie and was blown away. First of all it was chicken thighs, much juicier and very well seasoned. The bread was toasted and light and fluffy, with just the right amount of crunch. The produce was fresh, but the combination of warm tasty chicken with that bread was a winner. Can’t wait to go back, but what to order… My Italian style or the chicken … Stay tuned to see.

I’ve been going to lee’s for over 15 years. It’s the best sandwich spot in Pasadena, hands down. The vinaigrette is amazing. and Shahan’s service is even better. He remember’s everyone by name. Price is good too.

Amazing salads. Big portions along with fresh veggies, and juicy chicken. I rarely crave a salad, but when I do it’s from here! My husband really likes their salads too. Soooo when I don’t feel like cooking and want something on the healthy side, I just call in my order. 10 – 15 mins later my order is ready for pick up, and dinner is served! Yum! I normally order the chicken broiled or the chicken club salad. The broiled chicken salad has chicken on a bed of lettuce. It might sound plain but the chicken has so much flavor that you don’t even need that much dressing. By the way this salad comes with a ranch dressing. They also have a little bar of pickled veggies, pretty good! Everything I’ve tried has been good from their salads, burgers, sandwiches and even their fries! I’ve been coming here for over 10yrs and I’ve never been disappointed! The staff is always really nice, especially the older gentleman that is at the register during the early shift. A younger girl takes over the register late in the afternoon, she’s really nice too! The restaurant is always very clean, which I appreciate! Come and enjoy yummy food at great prices!

One of my favorite little joints ever. The sandwiches are fresh, the staff are the best anywhere, the prices are great, plus they have delicious fries and complimentary pickled vegetables and oh my god I wish I was there now.

Great local sandwich spot. I’ve never been there in person so I cannot attest to service or atmosphere but my work has ordered lunch about a dozen tines from this place and we all love it. Also, they have our food ready quickly. That’s a plus. I recommend the grilled veggie sandwich on rye. It’s so tasty. Their garlic hot sauce is a great addition to any sandwich, I’m sure. Douse that baby on and see for yourself! The only disappointment is they aren’t open for dinner.

One the best places to eat in Pasadena without a single doubt. I’ve been eating here for over a decade and they have never failed me once, I cannot remember a time when I was unhappy with my choice of food from here. The Famous Chicken Hoagie, Greek chicken salad, Club house sandwich, Chicken and veggies plate, hot wings, giant Philly cheesesteak, their burgers. Only a few of their amazing dishes, all flawless and consistently cooked to perfection. Always satisfied when I come here, and I usually eat here once a week. If you haven’t had them you’re missing out.

Very tasty, fresh food made to order with good ingredients. The subs are really good, and they know how to make ‘em, with shredded lettuce and thinly-sliced purple onion, along with very tasty dressing and quality ingredients. Lots of different condiments on the table too, including Pepper Pot sauce, which goes well. I keep thinking I’ve got to try a burger but the sandwiches are so good I don’t mess with a good thing. Any of the hoagies(they don’t have detailed descriptions on the posted menu, maybe on the paper one) is a sure bet, and if you’re an old guy like me go with someone & eat 2 for the price of 1 or take it home for tomorrow. The owner is very friendly and you can usually find firefighters, cops, or city workers there rocking lunch; those people know where to go to eat and it doesn’t get more legit than this. If you’re in the Pasadena area or nearby(I make the drive from Highland Park), give ‘em a shot.

Be careful and say you want your receipt when you order food. I ordered a sandwich, a drink and fries($ 14 and change) and the lady asked if I wanted the receipt. Usually I say no when it’s a small business, to save them the paper. But when they came out with my orders sans fries, I let them know they forgot to bring out my fries. Time passes and I came in to ask where they were and I got«you didn’t order any» I didn’t have a receipt to show so they stood their ground. The food is REALLY good. I’d suggest going for the food. But just be careful and take your receipt.

I have lived here all my life and this is the first time I have come to Lee’s hoagie House I was greeted warmly by the owner and I’m very impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant My Greek chicken salad was absolutely delicious ! The chicken hoagie was neatly packaged and very flavorful I plan to return with more friends and family I hope you will too!

Do not mistake this Lee’s Hoagie House with the«other» Lee’s Sandwiches… this one is way different and absolutely delicious! I stumbled across this place actually looking for the«other» Lee’s sandwich place but since this place had such high marks on Unilocal,I couldn’t pass up the chance to try it! First things first, no matter what time of day it is, you must have their signature chicken! Whatever bread it’s on and however way you try it, you need to eat their signature chicken. Did I mention that you need to try their chicken? The spices on this chicken is off da hook and the aroma while it’s on the fire grill is mouth watering. The grill master seems to know what he’s doing because he keeps eyeing the chicken making sure it’s hot, crispy and on your plate when it’s ready! I personally feel that the original way is the way you ought to have it! The roll it’s on is hot and crunchy, the shredded lettuce gives it just the amount of texture and the tomatoes are succulent and aren’t overpowering. Add that to the hot crusty chicken that was just on the grill seconds ago… and you got what everyone has been enjoying for the last 20+ years! Oh, also make sure you have it with a side of their hash browns. It is excellently prepared here with both sides perfectly golden brown and waiting for you when you walk in on the griddle! This place is also packed with locals, and the friendly owner Shahan knows everyone by name or by what they eat to an exact science. Where else can you come to feel at home and have people know your name and eat some delicious chicken? Lee’s Hoagies House & More… that’s where! See you here!

I came here to pick up lunch for a friend and I. I ordered over the phone and they were really friendly and took down my order. I was there to pick it up in about 10 minutes and they were friendly and helpful. It’s a good lunch spot. Definitely check it out. I ordered the chicken club and I got my friend a tuna hoagie with 2 orders of fries. Their portions are huge and the prices aren’t that bad.

I was expecting to fall head over heels for their famous chicken hoagies. I love chicken and I love sandwhiches so this should be a home run right? But it was subpar, the one thing I really did enjoy was the orange bang fountain dispenser.

I have a 30 minute lunch break and opted to try this place out. Got there and ordered my food around 12:03−05. I got my food by 12:09. I was happy to see that it came out so fast. I was even more pleased that it has been added into my spots to get lunch during work hours. I had the Chicken Hoagie as suggested by a friend. The sandwich came with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, and the sauce. The sandwich is hot and has a great refreshing taste from the lettuce and tomatoes. I also ordered a side of fries(plain) and I will probably avoid doing that again. They were okay, but unless I’m really hungry I wouldn’t order them again.

Came to try their chicken sandwich as it was well-recommended by a friend. My husband and I both ordered combos with fries/onion rings and a soda. Loved the chicken sandwich. The bread was perfectly crispy and chewy at the same time. The onion rings were awesome. Fries were not. They were not crispy and definitely needed salt/seasoning. I’d return for the sandwich.

I’ve been coming to Lee’s Hoagie House for YEARS and it’s always served fresh and fast. My brother loves the Greek Chicken Salad and pretty much gets it every time we go here to eat. But for me… I embrace that variety is the spice of life. And if you want variety, Lee’s is one of the best places you can go from their huge variety on their menu, wide assortment of beverage choices, and even the smörgåsbord they have in their fresh pickled vegetables bar. This place is the ultimate in comfort foods. I wish I could get here in time for breakfast because their breakfast burritos are amazing, but their lunch chicken burritos are awesome and freakin huge. Other stand out dishes I’d recommend are the chicken plate, chicken hoagie(their signature item), salads, and their cheese steak sandwich with the marinara on it. And perhaps my favorite part of this place is that it just feels like home when you come in. Shahan is the owner and has one of the funniest personalities you can encounter. Plus it’s crazy how he remembers people’s faces and names even from just going there one time. And all the staff are super friendly as well. It almost feels like having a family supper every time you come in. They’re the ultimate in family-owned casual restaurants with quality food that ain’t too hard on your wallet. They’ve been a Pasadena staple for more than 23 years I think. And you can def see why because everyone who comes here becomes a regular once they give Lee’s a shot.

I’ve been coming Lee’s since Shawn opened. The food is good and the prices are fair. I’d say they’re low but I don’t want him to raise them. The food is always fresh, and so is the owner! lol He’s a good guy, that will always remember your name, and your order! Love the salads, the chicken hoagie, and the burger hoagie. Good Onion rings. Great coffee, and he serves a good breakfast. Everyone can find something to eat here, and if he can he will accommodate you and do a special order.
