Loooooove my sight now!!! I can see finally after so long. Most definitely recommend it to anyone trying to have a better eye sight I loved the staff super nice, sometimes rushed only thing I didn’t like but I loved my experience overall!

Thank you Laser Eye Center for fixing my eye sight. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. I was very nervous to get this procedure but now I am so glad I did it. It is a very quick surgery and fast recovery. I was able to see perfectly same day a few hours after surgery. Everyone in the Passdena office are so professional and nice I felt very comfortable going there for follow up visits. I highly recommend the surgery!

I CAN SEE! My exp with the Pasadena staff at the inital consulation was great. Everyone from the front desk clerk to the office manager and of course the designated optomitrist were all very kind, patient and helpful. The staff at the Los Angeles office were also very kind. The Doctor took very good care of me informing step by step what to expect during the procedure so there were no surprises and felt very comfortalbe putting my eyesight in his hands. The following post-​op process was equally on point. They allowed me to come for many check ups to ensure my postive ²⁰⁄₂₀ results!

It was very painful procedure and you feel like you are in an assembly line. The doctors does several surgeries at the same time. It made me feel very uneasy. When I asked a few questions the doctor was very impatient and I felt rushed.

One of the best decisions of my life. I’ll never go back to glasses. Dr. Shults, my optometrist, also performs LASIK here. He’s performed two corrective eye surgeries in the past on me, for my astigmatisms.
I know everyone is wondering and it may differ for others. I paid around $ 3,700 on a Care Credit. I need to pay that over two years with no interest, but if I’m late or go a day over, all the interest gets charged. So that’s the catch if you’re looking for it.
The process only took about 1 – 2 hours of the entire visit, the procedure took about 15 minutes. Be prepared that it’s a very odd experience. I had both eyes done. When they make the slit and peel it back, everything goes blurry like I’ve never seen, but once they seal it back up, your eyes feel relieved. If you’re nervous they’ll give you a Xanax.
The worst part really is the healing process and right after surgery. You’ll need someone to drive you home, your eyes are going to be so sensitive to light you’ll hate it. You might want to be in the back seat with something over your face, or maybe get it done when the sun is down.
4 months later, my eyes are getting better. It can take up to a year for my eyes to get the full effect since I had two astigmatisms and the doctor did something to ensure I wouldn’t lose the effect after a few years. But right now, my eyes have never seen better.

Went for a consultation last Thursday and it went so well that I just called and booked my lasik surgery next Friday! My boyfriend had his procedure done here and although he’s super good I was soooooo scared. I feel much better after going in! They are super thorough and if this is any inclination of what it will be like on the big day, I will be just fine!!! Will update Friday of course… Thanks Pasadena staff!!! Update — it is now almost two weeks since the procedure — it was a little blurry the first week, I was seen the day after (on a Sunday) and three times after that during week one. My vision is improving every single day. I am loving this! Thanks so much Dr. Shammas!

I came here on the recommendation of a friend who had a positive experience here recently. I was very pleased to be greeted by friendly staff and the Unilocal Coupon was a bonus!
I was going on vacation in a week so I was thrilled to know I could get my procedure done the next day. Quick health care opportunities are hard to come by, but Laser Eye Center was on the ball.
Overall great experience and would highly recommend to others looking for a friendly, professional option for Lasik in Pasadena.

I have been very wary of lasik surgery because my eyes are super sensitive, but the staff here was really kind and welcoming which put me at ease. Very professional office and knowledgeable staff.
I kept putting this off but now that I can see without worrying about keeping my glasses on me at all times I feel so relieved – plus in this hot summer weather it’s so nice to not have muggy glasses all day.
Highly recommend this office and will be telling my friends they need to come in as well.

Bait and switch!
I purchased an Amazon Local promotion for Conventional Lasik from this place and had a consultation the following day. Long story short, they asked me for another $ 1000! Instead of the 1 day outpatient surgery with the kerotome blade, they said my voucher was only good for PRK (the method where they basically scrub out your cornea instead of creating a flap and takes 4 days to heal and only 1 eye is done at a time). Their promotion was incredibly misleading as it stated nothing of the kind. I called Amazon right away and they were shocked to hear what had happened and will be refunding me immediately.
Funniest thing I saw in the office was a BBB plaque hanging right above the counter. Shame on them.

At first I was worried about the surgery, but their staff really made me feel like family. They are all very nice and knowledgeable, and it really seemed like everyone knew what they were talking about. My father had his eyes done over 10 years ago with the same doctor and he still has ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. My sister had it done there as well about 1 year ago and she is also very happy about the outcome. And for me its been one month since my surgery and I see perfect. you can really tell they are the best at what they do. I would recommend anyone thinking about laser eye surgery to use laser eye center, if they want the job done right. They really changed my life, and i want to thank all of them for doing so.

Went in for a consultation and I had a very good experience (it was not a saturday). the staff was friendly, attnetive and answered my question. I guess it’s like any retail store or restaurant… it dpends on the day you go and the staff working that day.
The doc works at different facility (@ the surgery center)…but the staff offered to setup a meeting… if I was interested in meeting the doc. So why do I give a «ok» rating… well i only have one data point.
The only thing i found weird was that they ask you if I would want to get the surgery today…(not saying bad… but I thin that’s weird… this isn’t a haircut) :-)

I just had the surgery done in August 2011 at the Whilshire location. The pre and post operation exams however, were done at the Pasadena location and I could not be happier with the service and the professionalism that I received. It’s a brand new day for me as my vision had been progressively getting worse. I see things now that I could not even see with my glasses. Thanks to the wonderful staff and doctors, especially Dr. Estrada and Estelle who were not only there for me but also there for my mother who is primarily Spanish speaking, calmed our fears and expertly explained the process. Keep doing what you do as you have changed my life for the better! As for my mother, she did not qualify for the procedure but Dr. Estrada recommended another procedure and she had that done and she is jumping for joy and left her glasses behind as well!

I went on Saturday for a consultation. It was as the previous reviewer said – no other patients were in the waiting room or office, although I did see one lady leaving.
The technician was horribly snotty and put down my culture when she found out I knew someone who’d had a bad lasik experience (a decade ago) and blamed it on «Kentucky.» No, it wasn’t a «Kentucky» thing (a family member actually told me tonight the surgery was across the river in Ohio). It was a mistake of using another patient’s measurements, but that had nothing to do with «regional» or Kentucky being a third-​world country without any technology, which is how the ignorant, uncultured lady acted. There are very good doctors there. Believe it or not, their technology also has to be FDA-​approved and their doctors have to be trained and board certified. I’ve NEVER had bad medical care there, and always had personable, hospitable, customer care, but I had really bad care today and at about 5 medical facilities in Pasadena. Apparently, all people in Ky are just poor and stupid and «country” – including the one sitting in the client chair who is almost finished with a PhD. Ahem!
They rushed me to an exam room before I had even finished my paperwork and medical history and said I could do it later – In fact, I could not. In the end, they just had me sign it, because my eyes were too dilated to read it.
The technician was kinda snide when I unconsciously stretched my chin down to fit on the machine by opening my mouth (I have a really short head and wear child-​sized glasses. it would have made sense for her to adjust the machine instead of being rude to me).
The optometrist or ophthalmologist doing the eye exam was OK (I was never told which he was). He was the friendliest and only intelligent person in the office who seemed into patient care.
Unfortunately, he won’t be doing the actual surgery and I was told normally patients don’t meet the surgeon until surgery day unless they arrange a special appointment.
He dilated my eyes and sent me with the first technician to another room to learn about the procedure. She had me initial that she’d gone over all the complications, etc, «before your eyes get blurry from the dilation» and said, «Don’t worry, I’ll tell you about them all.» I later asked the doctor for a copy and when I could get home and read it, I realized she didn’t actually go over any of those things! Total hypocrite!
She also waved several other papers in front of me to sign and had me finish signing my medical history form even though I couldn’t read them.
They sent me back to the exam room and I had a more thorough exam with eye dilation.
They then sent me to the other room to hear about pricing (at this point, I still can’t read anything, because the lights bother them and my eyes are so blurred from the dilation). The lady (different one) was exactly like the other reviewer described and «So what do you want to do?» and kinda seemed in a hurry to go and put out when I asked one question to make sure I understood (a paper being waved in front of me that I couldn’t read).
I left feeling like they’d barely explained anything and felt too shell-​shocked to ask more.
They also had me sign a paper saying they could call me without explaining that I could opt out of that – again when I couldn’t read it because of my dilation. I guess they are right about putting down people from my culture since I was naïve enough to do so. I intend to let them know to NEVER contact me again if they call.
I took my contact prescription with me, so they’d know my previous prescription. They failed to return it and my head was spinning from the dilation, so I got to my car before I realized this. I walked back. It was 10 minutes before «closing time,» but everyone had left.
That kinda proved to me that I was being rushed around and getting unfriendly vibes from a couple of employees – who were probably just anxious to go home and get on with their weekend.
It was very hurtful and disappointing, because I have –9.5 eyesight in both eyes (glasses prescription; slightly better with contacts), and I really, really want this done. I don’t want it done by an office where I can’t meet the actual doctor doing the lasik, where the staff provides poor customer care, and where the so-​called professionals don’t have multi-​cultural awareness or training in respecting patients’ cultures, home regions, or backgrounds. I come from an extremely multicultural background growing up in a diverse community and working in cross-​cultural ministries and traveling a lot overseas. Respecting ALL backgrounds is a MUST for me.

I had been thinking about getting lasik for several years and finally decided to do it. I decided to shop around for the best doctors and the best prices. I heard that the Laser Eye Center had the lowest rates, so I checked it out. I recently went in for a Lasik eye consultation at the Laser Eye Center and I must say that it wasn’t the most pleasant experience.
I came in on a Saturday and the place was empty. No patients were there. Only a few employees who were watching the soccer game on the TV that was above my head in the waiting area as I was filling out my information.
The facility was ok, but not as nice as Dr. Berg Feinfield’s TLC Office in Burbank that I went to a week prior (who already told me I was a perfect candidate). They weren’t the most friendly people either. There were about 4 people who helped me during my consultation and only 1 was friendly, I believe his name was Art.
Anyway, they put me in a room with the lights off. Thank goodness there was a window (even if the blinds were closed), otherwise I would have been in a pitch dark room all alone. They did the consultation in the dark room, left me in there for about 15 minutes until my eyes were dilated while the employees were walking in and out getting supplies. And yes, I was still in the dark room. I don’t know if they’re trying to save on electricity or if they were trying to keep it dark for my dilated eyes, but they didn’t give me an explanation.
Indeed, the prices were a lot cheaper and I’m sure the doctor is great, but I didn’t even get to meet him. He wasn’t at the office. But they did say that there would be incentive for me to get lasik done that day. Are you kidding me?! I don’t even trust you AND I haven’t met the doctor!
Later, I was finally put into a lit office with a woman who wasn’t very friendly, she just said «so what do you want to do?» I said I’d think about it.
I found it strange that there were no patients there during my entire appointment. I thought Saturdays were most convenient for most people. And I found it strange that they put me in a dark room for so long. And I found it odd that I didn’t get to meet the doctor and yet they tried so hard to get me to do my lasik that day.
I’m sure the doctor is highly trained, but I just couldn’t get passed the unfriendly staff. They may have low prices, but I need more than that to let people touch my eyes.
