George Haney & Son Inc

We have been using this firm for heating and air conditioning for years and have had excellent results. They are experienced, honest and able to take on difficult jobs. Several years ago we had the air conditioning replaced on an existing 5 ton Carrier system. They discovered that the previous contractor had installed inferior piping to the roof top compressor. We had already agreed upon a price which was based on using the existing piping. The firm could have used their leverage at that point to hit us with a big charge for the extra work, but instead only charged for the additional material. The unit has worked well for years.
Our furnace recently failed and their technician David was very helpful in finding and fixing the problem as well are patiently explaining what was going on with the unit and the features of a new improved circuit board that he installed to replace the old one. The firm’s prices seem fair and they are dependable about coming out when promised.

Our 1929 gravity heaters had finally failed, so we needed a whole new system – forced air and A/​C. This is something like major surgery for an old house like ours. Even though the Haney bid was not the lowest we went with them, in part because of Unilocal reviews. I’m glad we did. The Haney crew was hardworking, knowledgeable, and very professional. A supervisor came around almost every day to check up on the work. The office staff was friendly and efficient. As it turned out, the job was harder than they had originally anticipated, but they did not charge more than their bid for the system. I think it helped that they are larger company than most, so they have the capacity and experience to deal with problems as they come up. My only regret is we did not do this years ago.

This company is exceptional. We have done business with them for the past 30 years. They are professional, their service is beyond expected, they are prompt and their prices are very fair for the excellent service they provide.

If anyone I know ever has problems with air conditioning or heating I don’t hesitate to send them to George Haney & Son. They are friendly, competent, and so knowledgable. When the temperature soars here in Southern California everyone wants to get there air conditioning fixed immediately, and when I had problems with my system they got to me as soon as possible and my family and I were soon feeling comfortable again.

So sad about this one… We have loved using this company and have given them so much business – maint. two times a year on a very complex dual system and they installed everything 10 years ago. Our AC decided to go out last night in the 106 degree weather. Not only do they now not have a voice mail set up, when I finally was able to get a hold of someone this morning she informed me they have no openings until next week. I explained the problem and still she couldn’t find a way to pinch us in. The amount of money /​business we have given to this company, for them to not help us out during an emergency is inexcusable. We will now be taking our business elsewhere.

My air conditioning was acting up, a funky smell, so I called George Haney, who put in the unit, 9 years ago, to see what was wrong. They came out, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. The customer service was impeachable from making the appointment to making repairsThe Tech explained everything so even a Vice President could understand. I wish the Sears Appliance repair people were as competent. I will ust them again.

I have been a customer of George Haney Air-​conditioning for 40 years. They have installed the systems I currently have and have serviced my system since we built our home.
Their staff is knowledgable and professional. I highly recommend them to all my friends.

This company is the least professional company I have ever worked with. The salesman came by 4 weeks ago. I asked my husband to hang out while the salesman was here so that he could hear what the salesman recommended. The salesman delegated me to background noise the minute he saw my husband. Once the inspection was done he promised a quote in a couple of days. Well a month later I am still waiting.
I sent a friendly reminder email that we were waiting for the quote. I never received a reply one way or the other.
Then a few days ago I called to see if the salesman was around, and whether he was still employed by the company. Turns out the guy was the owner.
Oh Boy! If this guy was the owner and ignored me as a being what are his employees like? Anyway, its been a month and we have yet to recieve a quote.
Needless to say, even if the quote comes and it’s free I wouldn’t hire this company to change my filter, much less install a whole new system.
