Modell’s Sporting Goods

I like to think of this location as the Forgotten Modell’s, a bit off the beaten path unless you’re familiar with the shopping centers in Parsippany. It’s next to Staples & Noodle Chu, on the Home Depot side of the massive lot.
I’ve always been able to find great exercise equipment & gear here. The last time I visited, it looked like they revamped the place, adding tons of team gear that I would’ve loved in high school. Gloves, knee pads, bats, helmets, … sigh. It’s practically an athlete’s heaven in there! The equipment part of the store has really improved.
It might not have everything you’ve ever wanted, but they certainly do have a lot of it – and it’s mostly untouched. Selection-​wise, they probably won’t have every single variation you’re looking for. (ex: I stopped in recently for basketball socks; they only had a small display with a few colors in stock.) Same goes for official team clothes — they’ll have the A-​list stars, but good luck finding the utility infielder’s jersey. And it’s a super quiet store, mostly because it’s out of the way & there only ever seem to be two people working. But hey, you get great, friendly service when you ask for it! Lol.
