We have been there several times, both just my husband and myself and with 3, 4 or 5 friends… We have had no complaints at all. Favorite dishes were the veal and lamb and on holidays they have«special meals» like turkey at Thanksgiving. Very nice and accommodating wait staff. I lived in France for several years and this restaurant is the closest to French cuisine anywhere in this area. PS-We find the«ambiance» more Country French, rather than dated.

Service was wonderful and their lunch specials were delicious. This is a great place to eat and love the environment.

Went here for a joint birthday celebration for me and my hubby. The ambiance is a bit dated, but its fine. The wait staff seems overwhelmed when it gets busy, but they are professional and friendly. The waiter seemed to think they could take care of my gluten and dairy allergies, but while the meal was delicious, I reacted later that evening. It was quiet, which was nice. If you are looking for decent French food, in Parker(which is lacking in fine food establishments) this could be a restaurant that could work for you.

I went here on a Friday night thinking it might be busy, I was wrong– only about 5 tables were taken around 6:30. One would think I should had been greeted fast and seated– but I wasn’t. Once someone noticed me and I was seated it probably took the waiter 10 minutes to come over. The server then just assumed I wanted to order my meal and asked me what I wanted to eat. What? No drink? I then ordered my drink and dinner. The soup was ok, salad nothing great, and the veal was stringy. It then took the waiter at least 10 minutes to realize I was finished and to take away my plate. Don’t waste your money on this place, there is a reason it’s in a strip mall by dominos.

What a fabulous find. I’m sorry that some of the previous reviewers didn’t have an incredible meal. I ordered their lamb shanks, which took a little longer to cook, but the soup(cream of tomato on this day) tasted like it was made fresh and the bread that was offered was great, even if it came from an outside vendor. The salad will Balsamic dressing was great. The Lamb Shanks were as good as I remember from the UK, and the side dishes(scalloped potatoes and onions, glazed carrots, and rice were cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the dinner so much that I recommended it to 3 co-workers, who also raved about the quality and the size of the portions. I’m going again next week

I cannot believe this place is in Parker. Let’s face it, we do not have many choices in quality food. The décor is ancient, as is most of the clientele. That should not detract from some of the best provincial French cuisine I have ever had. Taste is phenomenal, portion sizes are great. Prices are from 1980 with the décor. Try the lamb chops or beef Wellington.

We went Friday night for a late meal. They were out of the lamb, the veal was overdone, and one escargot was crispy. Yuck. My fiancé had the beef Wellington which was cooked to the right temperature but the flavor was poor. It was a $ 100 tab to not enjoy anything but the potatoes. Bummer.

I assume that the people that rave about this place have never been to Europe. I have no idea why it’s averaging 4 stars. This place deserves to be on Kitchen Nightmare. Awful décor, clueless staff, mediocre food. We went there once last year and won’t go back. We walk in, the waiter’s some kid who doesn’t hand us a wine list. We do get a wine list and he doesn’t know about any of the wines. When my mom asked him if the trout was fresh, he didn’t know what that meant! He actually thought that just meant«cooked to order.»(No — fresh means fresh, as in, not frozen before it got to the restaurant). He then proceeds to tell us that the chef used to pre-cook everything in the morning and then just heat it up during dinner service, but now it’s «fresh»(what he meant was it’s thawed and cooked to order, it’s not fresh). What? You’re telling me you just nuke stuff at 20+ dollars per person in Parker? We order and get our salads, and they were made FROM A BAG. I’m sorry, you don’t have enough staff to cut up lettuce every day? It was clearly one of those mixes from Costco. So disappointing. The meal was edible, if bland, which is why I gave it two stars, otherwise I’d give it one. And frankly I wouldn’t be this harsh on them if their prices weren’t so high. Frankly I should have known not to go here when they said they make French and Italian food. Pick a lane, you can’t master both. Don’t go here if you want real French food. Maybe the Italian food is better, but I doubt it.

I was planning on giving them 3 stars until I tried their chocolate mousse. First they were under staffed. It took a good few mins to get to a table and being waited on. They offer a cup of soup and salad with the dinner, which I thought was nice. Their lemon chicken soup was good and the salad was what it was. I ordered the special — a Beef Wellington $ 25. First off it was very tough and the pastry dough tasted doughy like it wasn’t cooked all the way through. The sauce was more of a brown gravy sauce with dijon mustard, as opposed to a wine sauce. I didnt finish it. The sides were herbed rice, I guess glazed carrots, and potato au gratin. Why serve two starches together? The carrots were the baby carrots you purchase in a bag drowned in a sweet and sour jar type sauce. The price you pay at this restaurant the carrots should have been whole petite or sliced fresh carrots with a homemade honey glazed sauce. The potatoes were good. My husband got the Veal Rossini. He just said eh. He said the same about the esgargot. Now for the chocolate mousse. First off, at any nice or decent restaurant should never put Hersheys chocolate syrup or use reddy whip on a dessert. But then I guess with this mousse that tasted like the Hersey pie from Burger King they might as well. Definitely not homemade, definitely not mousse. I ate 2 bites. Won’t be going back. Over priced food that wasn’t even good.

I agree with the other reviews here of Café Monet. Outstanding food, reasonable wine list and prices, engaging wait staff that is not in a hurry to turn your table, all making for a leisurely, pleasurable and delicious dining experience. The lemon meringue pie was sublime! Beef Wellington and Petite Filet with all the home made fresh ingredients were both outstanding. Try Café Monet, you will not be disappointed!

Café Monet has long been a favorite of ours. We enjoy taking out of town friends there as they are nervous when we park at a strip mall! The food is delicious and offers subtle spicing and wonderful sauces. My favorite is the Weinerschnitzel but everything is great. I am a good cook and am very particular about food and this is consistently the best in Parker and one of the tops in the Denver area. The service is perfect! The waiters are professionals and provide a leisurely and attentive serice that is more and more a thing of the past. This is a special evening out with prices that are very kind to your budget. I had the weiner schnitzel and it came with my very own gravy boat. It was amazing. The beef dish was tender and flavorful. Ask for a side dish of candied carrots. We loved them! This place is quiet with a comfortable slow pace to make a memorable event. Be prepared to relax and enjoy good food with friends.

Café Monet is a family owned gem hiding in a strip mall lusting for renovation. Once inside you don’t feel you are in a strip mall but rather a quaint French country restaurant. The service was flawless and friendly. The food was hot, fresh and CLEARLY homemade! Keep in mind, for the price, you get bread, soup, salad and entrée keeping the value more affordable. We had the veal piccata as well as the chicken Parmesan, nothing but good things to say about both entrees. The best tomato soup we’ve ever had! Others were heard making the same comment. Pros: fresh homemade, hot food. Excellent service. Great value. Cons: Somewhat outdated décor but CLEAN atmosphere. Overall, a high recommendation. Con

We first came to Café Monet just about two years ago just to try someplace new. In that time it has probably become our favorite place to go for dinner. I can absolutely say that we have never had a dish we did not love. While it may be pricier than a lot of places in Parker, it is actually a very good value for what you get, and their desserts are a bargain compared to most places.

We love this place! My wife and I go there when we are able to have a date night. The service is slow, but they have great food. I always order the curry chicken which they make especially for me even though it’s not the menu. I even saw the owner at King Soopers buying fresh French bread so I know they use good food. The owner’s wife is the one cooking all the meals and she does a great job in making everything taste good.

1st rule of Café Monet is you must try it for lunch. Lunch is very inexpensive with a great variety and a full three course meal with soup, salad and main course. I have had a couple of the lunch items and they have all been very good in wonderful sauces. 2nd rule of Café Monet is make sure to invite someone with snow on the roof. It is an older crowd here and you’ll feel out of place with a bunch of X-gen’ers sitting at a table! 3rd rule of Café Monet is enjoy the 83yr old waiter… no kidding, 83yrs old and still has a bounce in his step and a twinkle of mischief in his eye! Don’t be in a hurry, this is at more of a European pace than an American restaurant pace. 4th rule of Café Monet, for me, is just come for lunch. While the dinner menu looks fantastic is is a little on the pricey side for Parker.

A few days ago my wife and i decided to try out this little café in Parker. it was our first time here. It was a very pleasant experience! My wife was able to find a very tasty vegetarian meal and I enjoyed the beouf dijonaise. It was very well prepared and quite tender. The environment was comfortable and pleasant. The gentleman serving us was very relaxed and charming. He had character and added to the ambiance of the evening. We’ll be coming back.

After hitting up Johnny’s, Dominos, and even the Unilocal-defiled Volcanes in the ugliest strip mall this side of Detroit, I’ve always noticed a solid trickle of people in/out of Café Monet(many speaking European languages!). Went to lunch yesterday with my wife and daughter and had prompt, smiling service from our waitress and the owner who delivered a loaf of hot, crusty French bread. A vibrant creamy chicken noodle soup followed(which sent me right back to my Polish grandmother’s kitchen) along with a fresh, basic salad. We opted for the Chicken Scampi and Sirloin special of the day. Both were simply enjoyable – nothing that would knock the socks off Buddha, but clearly were honest concoctions. The real kicker is that we only finished off one plate and had a large take-home box. Not until dinner did we realize that we left it behind. I called to ask if by chance they had held onto it and the owner said they held it for four hours and had just tossed it away. Oh well. She then asked for us to come back and that she wanted to make us a new plate. I declined, but she insisted. Well, we got there and she had made the entire meal again, lovingly wrapped up with hot bread, cold salad, & soup. That is love – that kinda of stuff doesn’t happen at your most-favored chain proprietors. Support local.

Did I walk into a time machine when I entered Café Monet? I could have been in any mediocre suburban restaurant in the 70s. Thought I’d check it out for lunch one day on my own. It’s dark and I mistakenly entered through the bar entrance which put me in a strange place in the dining room, bypassing the hostess stand completely. I was seated and looked around. Tchotchkes galore that a grandmother would love. Decent-sized crowd but everyone was 70 years old or older. Did the senior center have a field trip? The waiter(a curmudgeon-y man) took my order(he assumed I was having the lunch special) and I was brought a soup that was just plopped down. Had to ask what it was and the woman who brought it seemed pissed that I asked. The salad was straight out of the 70s… basic, basic stuff. Had the sole(which I normally love) but this was served plain with plain rice. Finished less than half and paid the bill. Boring as can be.
