I am certified in the Shepherd Method of strand-​by-​strand nit removal, which is a non-​toxic and proven means of head lice removal. Having gone through the stress of a head lice infestation with my own children, I understand the chaos it creates in the home and the sense of helplessness it brings to parents. My goal with each client is to provide the most thorough treatment possible at a reasonable rate, while educating parents and caregivers. This helps them separate the facts from fiction, which allows them to regain a sense of control and avoid an infestation in the future.

Found out about the company from a neighbor who has utilized them in the past. Amy came out did a great job treating my son, and looking at my daughter and myself. She was very pleasant and made my kids feel at ease with the entire process. In order to look at all 3 of us, it took one hour. She was far more reasonable than any other similar service out there, and coming to the house made it much easier for us. Would definitely utilize her again (if needed) and will recommend her to everyone.

Desperate! Been fighting lice for 3 weeks on our own and needed help. Amy came to the rescue! Awesome products, very knowledgable, kind, friendly and didn’t make us feel like the scourge of the earth! if you think your only local (Chicago) option for help in dealing with head lice is Hair Fairies, think again!
On the Sunday morning I was scheduled to take my daughter to camp for three weeks, we discovered that she had head lice. For fear of spreading it to other campers and for her own comfort, I knew we needed to take care of it quickly and thoroughly.
I came across Fight of Your Lice on line and made the call. Amy called me back that Sunday afternoon and was at our home (in the city) by 11 the next morning. She immediately put my daughter at ease and got to work, using a more mild and less toxic treatment than RID or NIX and then painstakingly going through the hair, almost strand by strand, to get the nits.
It took her 3 hours and she left my daughter with a nice french braid and me with a letter to present to camp, stating that treatment had been provided. I also bought some shampoo and a comb and the total bill was $ 290. It’s a lot, but less than I would have paid at Hair Fairies and totally worth it because I got my daughter to camp that same day.
Amy is easy-​going, professional and I learned a lot from her about this pesky problem. She works to destigmatize head lice and in the end we all felt better.
