We specialize in light carpentry, plumbing, electric, concrete, painting… anything you need repaired, we will fix. We also remodel bathrooms, basements, laundry rooms and kitchens. We’ve been remodeling and building homes in the Chicagoland area for over 10 years! The job is never too small or too big.

History

Established in 1998.

My brother, Terrence (Terrence Construction) started in Carpentry in the early 1990’s. I started when I was a child who loved fixing things. Together, we’ve been creating, building, fixing and remodeling for over 10 years now. He has his business, concentrating on the larger jobs. I have the handyman business, concentrating on the small jobs. Together, we make a great team to fulfill everyone of your needs.

I was born and raised in Evanston, Il. I left Evanston and spent my high school years in Elmhurst, Il and attended York High School. I later attended Knox College and took a year off and traveled Europe for a year. I studied art and architecture in Rome, Italy. Upon my return and graduation from Knox College, I went out to find a career. After some short lived jobs, i saved up enough money to buy a house in the City of Chicago to rehab and rent out. It was there that I grew my knowledge about every aspect of building and rehabbing that I eventually build a house of my own and started a business that satisfied what made me happy.

I never got to see his work. I called for an estimate. Patrick said he would contact me later that day or the next day. Here I am 4 days later and he never got back to me. I had two other contractors out and have chosen one to do our dry wall work in 1 bedroom. Maybe he felt the job was too big or too small, I do not know because he blew me off.
Patrick got back to me and said with the warm weather he got slammed with calls. he said he took on too much and apologized about the missed appointment. I get it!

Patrick came to my townhome in Wheeling to do some repairs on my drywall. He also repaired two of my stairway hand-​railings that had previously not been drilled into the studs. Finally, Patrick mounted a flat screen in one of the bedrooms to the wall. He showed up, introduced himself, and got right to work. He was very friendly and professional, and even offered some advice on how to fix cracks/​scatches on my wooden floors. I was very happy with his services and definitely recommend him! He was a fast, efficient worker and I really liked being able to pay via credit card online.

I sent Patrick an email to see if he would fix a leaky toilet. He responded promptly, and we were able to get an appointment set-​up quickly. His quoted price was very reasonable when compared to other quotes I received, so I decided to go with Patrick.
The day of the appointment, he was timely, professional, and very courteous. The service was quick and very closely aligned to the quoted price. If I have a need for help around the house again, I will definitely call Patrick! I was definitely dreading this appointment, but Patrick exceeded all of my expectations!

I had a few small jobs I needed completed around the house, and spent a long time looking for a handyman that would come to Evanston. I tried calling the Fix It Company, as they were recommended by my management company, but they never returned my calls or scheduled the service.
Enter Patrick. He returned my email promptly and was so helpful and polite! I contacted him on Monday, and we scheduled an appointment for that Sunday. He showed up on time, worked efficiently, and was a very nice, friendly guy. Normally I don’t like to have men in the condo when I’m alone, but I would feel comfortable having Patrick come back to fix something else, even if I was home alone. His rates are also very reasonable.
It’s been a few weeks, and everything Patrick fixed is working perfectly. Highly recommend! Will definitely use him in the future, and will be recommending him to everyone I know who needs a handyman. You will not regret hiring him!

Well, I have to be upfront and say that I never used his service, but after an initial call telling him what I needed done– he told me to text message him a photo of the repair. He said though that he could do the job but just wanted to see what type of radiators they were. I needed radiators disconnected and capped (not moved), so that the sandblaster could come out and remove them to their shop (they wouldn’t disconnect). I sent pictures and believe I was pretty clear about what I needed done. I actually am pretty handy but at the time I was waiting to find out if I was pregnant (no stooping or lifting). I also am without anyone else to call. So, after texting and then receiving a text message asking again what I needed done– I never got a return call or text. So, if you can’t do something or if the job is too small, you should say so– I was on a time schedule and had to have things firmly arranged. Luckily I kept calling around and finally got someone who agreed to come out (now I’m just keeping my fingers crossed they show up).

Patrick’s quote for the number of hours was spot on, and the work was very professional. My husband called him and he said he goofed up his schedule. He came within half an hour of the call and was very apologetic. He ended up returning the following day because he did not have the type of saw he needed to get the job done with the cabinet.
I’m upgrading but still skeptical.

GRADE: F. What a disappointment, especially since they are highly rated. I should have had some inclination when I did not get a fast response to my initial request. I had to have a new kitchen faucet installed, I set it up with Patrick for a Saturday morning. After a few minutes of inspecting under the sink he says ‘we have a problem” then proceeded to tell me that the fixtures were old, the type I have no one uses any more, etc. He continued to work but sounded more frustrated as the time ticked by. Then he said I had another problem because he was not able to completely shut off the water. I have had work done before and no one ever had brought that up, including my building engineer. To make a long story short after 90 minutes with no progress Patrick said he would not be able to do it unless the water was shut off. So he left and I still had a broken faucet, no hot water in the kitchen and a new faucet still sitting on the counter. Oh and I was $ 75.00 poorer. I would NEVER consider this outfit again. If you want reliable work call Rocket Plumbing. They came and within a couple of hours I had my new faucet installed. It was a bit tricky and took longer because I live in an older buidling, but I was impressed with the professionalism shown by Rocket Plumbing. They didn’t quit when the work got difficult.
With all his years of experience hasn’t Patrick worked in old buildings before? It doesn’t matter that the pipes were old, he still should have been able to do the job.

I was looking for a local, independent handyman and was delighted to find Patrick and all of his stellar reviews on Unilocal!
He has been to our home on several occasions ranging from replacing our garbage disposal to changing several different faucets and installing some tricky new light fixtures, we have been over the moon with his work after every visit!
He’s a delight as a person to have in your home, very personable and pleasant. I schedule all work pertaining to the home and I’ve gotten the impression from other handymen in the past hat they would rather be dealing with the man of the house, not so with Patrick.
He is our go to guy for anything we need done and I’ve recommended him to several friends and clients and will continue to do so.

I had made a mess of my toilet by trying to do a «simple» installation of a diaper sprayer on my own. Once I had reached the point of no return I realized I was in trouble and had to call a plumber. I called Patrick after finding him on Unilocal and he was wonderful. Luckily for me he was stuck on the expressway not far from my home and was able to get there quickly, assess the problem and run for parts. He had me up and working again in less than an hour and was very reasonably priced. I now have a wonderful working piece of equipment and have found a new handyman for any other jams that I get myself into.

I was left in a lurch when a plumber left me with a job literally half done. He actually sawed off a faucet and left my house in pieces with brass shavings all over.
Any Fix to the rescue! Even though I live beyond Patrick’s normal service area, he came out within minimal time, arrived early, with parts, and worked diligently all day on my multiple bathroom/​faucet issues. When he says he’s efficient, you can count on it. No wasting time on the phone or eating McDonald’s in my living room! He also checked some other plumbing & appliances and recommended DOING NOTHING — (who does that?! honesty is the best policy!) Beyond that he was polite and pleasant — even my evil dogs liked him! Two thumbs up for this good jack-​of-​all-​trades.

Gave AnyFix a call this morning after seeing the great reviews. Our basement was flooding. Patrick came in within 10 minutes and immediately assessed the problem within a few minutes of arriving. Within 20 minutes he corrected the problem and was on his way. There was a pipe that was incorrectly installed in our drainage system and he just reconnected it. He could have lied (like many do) and tell us we needed a replacement of this part or that part. He didn’t and that was refreshing!
If you are looking for an HONEST Plumber/​Handyman in the Evanston area, PLEASE Call Patrick and AnyFix. I definitely program his number in my phone in case my parents lose his business card!

I had a ballast that went out in my kitchen ceiling light and called Anyfix. Patrick came by right away and gave me an estimate. The ballast I had was pretty uncommon so he told me my options and followed up the next day with info. on different parts, making it easier for me.
He was able to replace the fixture in under an hour (including a run to hardware store), and was conscious of not making a mess. Great job, efficient, and yay now I have working lights!

I recently had granite countertops installed in my kitchen. Once the installation was complete I needed a plumber to come out and install the faucet, hook up water lines and drainage pipes. I did a quick search on Unilocal that evening and found Any Fix was located right around the block from my condo in Evanston. I gave Patrick a call and he said he would be by the next morning. He said the job would take 2 – 3 hours. The next day Patrick showed up and got to work. He made a quick trip to Home Depot for some parts. Two hours later I had a working kitchen sink with proper drainage for the sink and dish washer. He didn’t leave a mess and the area was clean. I was very impressed with his ability to get everything done in two hours and the price was reasonable. I even have him working on my next project to install a custom built pantry in my kitchen. Two thumbs up for Any Fix!

Small Businesses are the best when the principal is a good guy. This is a great example. I just needed my drain snaked out. He was here in less than 24 hours and the job was done before my wife got up in the morning. I told her the Drain Fairy did it! The price was low enough to put me out of the do-​it-​yourself business.

We had been struggling with our disposal for a couple months after installing a new one. You’d flip the switch and get a humming sound for a minute, then it would shut itself down. We called the manufacturer and even had another handyman in but no one could diagnose the problem. Finally we called Any Fix and Patrick came by. He initially struggled to figure out the problem as well, but systematically worked through what it could be until he figured it out and we now finally have a working disposal. Of course we later promptly threw chicken bones down there and broke it again. j/​k.
Patrick showed up on time, was very pleasant to deal with, and was knowledgable about some other electrical questions we asked him about our old house. We’ll definitely use him again the next time we have minor repairs/​work to be done.
