First established in the 1950’s, Porky’s was famous for its’double decker FAT BOY burger which is still served today. We now specialize in serving the finest in dry rubbed smoked meats including Pulled Pork, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Beef Brisket & Chicken smoked in-house daily. We offer Dine-in or Carryout including catering. Free WiFi, alcoholic beverages and kid friendly. A private Party/Banquet room is available which seats up to 40 people.
History
Established in 1955.
The first Porky’s restaurant was originally started in 1955 by Paoli resident ‘Porky’ Weeks. They were known for their egendary double-decker burgers and special sauce. Prior to Porky’s was Markland’s family owned restaurant that began in 40’s and was photograhed in a 1947 Life Magazine article featuring Paoli, Indiana. In July of 2012 Porky’s was resurrected as a BBQ restaurant but still offering the double decker with a choice of burger, pulled pork or chicken. Today Porky’s specializes in serving the finest in dry rubbed smoked meats including Pulled Pork, Fall-Off-The-Bone Ribs, Beef Brisket & Chicken smoked in-house daily.
