History

Established in 1979.

In business for over 30 years, with offices throughout North America and expanding worldwide, Transworld Business Advisors provides services in three complementary areas: business brokerage, franchise consulting, and franchise development. The brokerage successfully connects buyers and sellers of businesses, the franchise consulting gives entrepreneurs access to more than 200 pre-​screened franchises, and the franchise development service assists people in growing their businesses through franchising.

Business Owner

Prof. Tim Cunha is the managing broker and owner of Transworld Business Advisors of Palo Alto. With more than four decades of experience as an entrepreneurial manager, he has developed, purchased, and sold businesses in various fields, including publishing, computer hardware and software development, bio-​tech, instrument manufacturing, defense contracting, wholesale distribution, and retail. Tim has a BA from Rutgers and a JD from Georgetown, is licensed to practice law in New Jersey, and is a licensed California real estate broker. Prior to Transworld, he taught undergraduate and MBA students on the faculty of the College of Business at Eastern New Mexico University, and acted as attorney, intermediary, or principal in several intricate business sales, purchases, and mergers.

Tim is the host of «The Business Beat» radio program airing on AM1220/​KDOW Sundays at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
